Positives: staff was friendly, bed was clean and comfortable, shower was refreshing and good water pressure and no resort fee, unlike most other hotels in Miami area. That being said, the hotel desperately needs a facelift, breakfast was very basic.

Motel was small, quaint. Room was clean and pleasantly cozy. Language barrier caused confusion. There was no more parking in the main parking lot. Overall we had an enjoyable stay at the Motel. The Internet worked well and the beds were ver comfortable. However the photos available on the website are misleading. The continental breakfast was donuts from Dunkin Donuts and yogurts. Assume only a selection of the room are modern as ours was is dire need of redecorating. The motel is far from South […] Beach but an easy 2 bus journey takes under an hour to get there. The staff were quite friendly and helpful it overall didn't really seem that attentive. We have stayed here before during the Miami Boat Show. It is the best place for the price. Our room this time was much bigger than last year (we were in the parking lot vs. the courtyard). The only 2 suggestions we have is that the air conditioning units are CRAZY loud... they sound like an aircraft taking off & landing when the go on & off... maybe […] they need service? Also, since bagels are offered during the free breakfast, the hotel should invest in a 4 slice toaster as there is always a line of people waiting to use the 2 slice. the hotel is older and the photos can be deceiving. There was no dryer, clock or other standard items as in most hotels. for 1 night it was ok but should i have needed longer i would have asked to cancel reservation and book elsewhere.

When we arrived we were very surprised. It is a two floor building without elevator in addition to rooms outside not connected to the building. The pic of the lobby on the website gives a wrong idea. Firstly it smelled humid. Secondly they wanted to give us a room out, completely separate from the motel and next to the road. We didn't agree so they […] upgraded the room to a one inside. I can call it upgrade as it is a very small room with very old AC and refrigerator, we couldn't sleep from their noise so we had to turn them off. It would be a real problem if it was really a hot weather. We had no tissues in the room, no shampoo and body wash, no one in the room too. obviously everything was old, we could see the cables of the TV on the roof and other cracks... The breakfast wasn't encouraging, very limited, needed to use a microwave for hot water but it wasn't also so clean, so we were lucky they brought donuts from dunkin donuts. While waiting our shuttle in the lobby, we noticed some small insects on the round table in the middle.... Definitely good for an overnight stay but probably wouldn't stay several days. Nothing really around in walking distance. Also it's not handicap accessibls as there are no elevators as well as no assistance with pulling luggage up stairs. Room was very clean. Staff was pleasant. Continental breakfast was satisfactory.

The room was really run down but basically clean. Good location for my needs but some would not feel comfortable in the sketchy neighborhood. The staff was really rude and unaccommodating, however, which would make me think twice about staying there again.

Funny smell in lobby, kinda like third world sanitizer smell. Staff not really very friendly. Kinda chalked it up to being in Miami. People were not very friendly to us in Miami. Adequate bed, room looked old and suffered from lack of maintenance. We got what we paid for. A place to sleep for the night.

The stay was good but my reservation mentioned a king bed and we ended up with a full bed. The rooms were nice and clean but too small. Breakfast was served too late in the morning.

If you're on vacation or something else where you'll want more than a good place to sleep, you should stay somewhere else. This is a basic motel room with a bed, a tv, and a bathroom. If you just need a clean place to sleep, the this is a fine place to go. It's clean, basic, and cheap.

The Motel is a great bargain. Located not far from the city center with grocery store, coffee and food places (e.g Dunkin Donuts, Burger King) and pharmacy nearby. I recommend a car, but a bus stop is in walking distance to the Motel. The Motel seems recently renovated with a rather modern feel to it. The rooms are very clean and the housekeeping service […] seems very thorough (finally a place with tiles or laminate instead of nasty carpet). Basic Breakfast is included which offers fresh fruit every day, juice, coffee, fresh bagels with several options of cream cheese, cereal, a variety of yoghurt and some times fresh donuts. The Motel has parking on both sides of the building and a nice courtyard and lobby to hang out. The only downside was the missing power outlet in the bathroom and almost no storage space for cosmetics etc. WLAN is unfortunately not available in the rooms (unless you're near the courtyard/lobby, then you get a weak signal. The hotel provides 24 hr desk service, and was there when we checked in at around midnight! They were very accommodating and extremely friendly! Hotel was clean and served our purpose very well! They had an ample continental breakfast, and I felt it was a great value for the price! I would definitely recommend it!!! Two thumbs up!!!

My husband and I used this motel for our vacation. The room was nice. But the window air conditioner was sooo noisy. Even we turned it off, we still can hear the noise from the other rooms.... Also shower was so disgusting, it seems the drain is cloged and sluggish. I saw somebody's hair on the tile before we use the bathroom.... Not clean enough.

The service was less than impressive, both women at the counter ignored us for about 3 minutes while looking at paperwork. We were disappointed to find out that the nice pictures that were posted were only of the lobby, however the room was less than inviting. We had to put a deposit down (refundable) just to use the tv remote, which didn't even work. […] When we advised the woman at the desk, she said we would have to wait for the cable provider to come out that night to fix it. My friend and I booked this room ... She was arriving late evening, so we were looking for a cheaper place in Miami before moving to South Beach the following day. It is in kind of a shady neighborhood... Nothing really to see or do within walking distance. $20+ cab ride to downtown, little Havana, south beach. Room is small which was not a problem, but certainly not represented accurately in photos. Paint peeling, lights didn't work, bedding was stained, no hair dryer or bathroom necessities. All in all... We did not expect more for what we we paying. We booked this based on price and that we were only there for one night. It was clean close to Miami port and cheap. All that was needed for one night, so happy over all. The highlight was finding the pizza joint down the road. Would go back for the pizza not so much their breakfast!!

Hotel was just as described. Just had the basics--bed, towels, TV, mini fridge, closets, ect. Nothing fancy, but very clean. A/C worked great, room was cleaned every day. We had a pleasant stay with no issues. Great location, pretty easy to find. Check out the News Lounge Cafe up the street--great atmosphere and drink specials!

The rooms could be bigger for what they are charging. The shower area wasnt cleaned properly (hair left over from last tenant on the walls and pillows, etc) and there were hardly any amenities except for bath soap. that can be improved as well for the price. Otherwise comfortable stay and reception guys were really nice when we reached at 4:30 am

It was just a one night stay we were going to do some important paper work at miami, and decide to go to the beach afterwards, but we didnt want to make the long drive back home without rest. So we decide to stay. The staff at the front end was ok, a little bit rude by talking on her cellphone, while attending us. And there was another guest that complained […] about have hair on her beds, I was a bit worried after that. but I checked my room and it was ok. My room was big and spaciosus. It was nice for a night. The bathroom was big and spaciosus also. Its a comfortable place to be in. The place has been painted and they have put some mordern furniture at the lobby y breakfast area, not bad. The breakfast was cereal, bagels and creamcheese varity, and lots of juice, yogurt, it was nice. The motel has a burger king across the street, that helps alot. i stayed here for six days in june 2012. the room was very small but usually very clean since they cleaned every day. This place has been remodeled.... The interior was nicely decorated.. Some new granite finish, new tile, etc. Bathroom had all been remodeled too and was impressive. Good for what we paid! But not luxurious.

While not beautiful or impressive, the room was decent, the staff responsive, and the breakfast was on the high end of continental breakfasts. Would stay again under the circumstances (needing a quick place to stay on the way in or out of Miami).

This was a great experience for a low price. The manager was waiting for us even though we got in late. The parking was a little sketchy because we got in late and had to use the reserve lot.
