Very nice overall, but continental breakfast service was very poor (not enough places to sit, running out of plates and napkins, etc.)

Decor: this is the Cork Factory's strength. Hands down. This is the most unique hotel I have ever been to. From the moment you drive up and see the brick exterior and smokestack, you know this is a different experience. Then, you set foot in the lobby and notice the rustic tiled floor with brick walls and plenty of odd but appropriate decorations. It's […] dark, but classy, stylish dark. The stairwells have all brick walls as well, with hardwood steps. Completely clean. I could've lived in the stairwell; you actually enjoy being there.   The hallway ceilings are high and wooden, and all air conditioning vents and pipes are black and visible: but it's contemporary and adds additional charm. If it were a typical rusty lead pipe, I wouldn't want it to be there, but it totally adds to the rustic charm of the place.  This was also the same in my room.  The walls in the room that happened to be exterior walls of the hotel were completely brick. Not fake backsplash tiled brick, real thick bricks and mortar. Again, rustic and charming. I love brick and was thrilled that the walls were real brick. The bed was very comfortable.  The bathroom was stunning. Perhaps it was because I had a suite, but it was the best part of the room. Gorgeous grey and multicolor tile lined the floor and walls around the shower and jacuzzi. Brick exterior walls, and an Asian-inspired (I think) copper mirror frame. It was just stunning. Overall the hotel was very clean and very roomy. The hotel itself is very original and there is ample parking. The breakfast is ok but nothing to write home about and always the same selection. If you love historic buildings repurposed as upscale hotels you will like this one. But always ask for the top floor- since classic old wood floors are noisy if you get an active neighbor above you. The decor and furnishings are great. Breakfast is nice.

Very nice hotel that was clean and nicely laid out. Staff were very friendly during our limited interaction with them. Overall a nice experience.

Spent two nights here to attend an Amish Mud Sale and tour the town of Lancaster and surrounding areas. If you are looking for something unique, this is a great place to stay. Many of the features and equipment from the original cork factory have been kept and integrated into the hotel, creating a great sense of history. My daughter and I stayed one night at the Cork Factory because we needed to be at Franklin and Marshall early the next morning. We got in a bit late, about 8:30, so we didn't have much opportunity to experience the hotel. But we did get a bite in the restaurant, which was good, but a little pricey. There are interesting little antique items everywhere, and the atmosphere is very calm and soothing. The room, like the rest of the hotel, was attractive with the same "factory" feel, updated with a marble bath and attractive furnishings. The beds were very comfortable, and I'm picky about that! The only problem with the hotel, as others have noted, is the lack of sound proofing. Watching TV in our room at night, we could clearly hear the conversation in the next room. Fortunately, our neighbors were not up late, and we could get to sleep at a reasonable time, but if you had neighbors who wanted to stay up late or were noisier than normal conversation, this would be annoying. The hotel does make guests sign a no noise/partying policy, but you can't really stop people from talking in their rooms. Beautiful room and great restaurant.

Went to this hotel with my adult daughter and my mother to shop for quilt fabric. The location was great and very easy to find. We were dissappointed to learn that the restaurant was booked because is was close to Valentine's Day but the receptionist was very helpful and sent us to the Lancaster Brewery which as excellent. I chose this hotel because it looked very different from the usual chain hotels. Overall I found the staff very friendly and very pleasant. The room was comfortable. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because I wasn't fond of the pillows, which were a tad uncomfortable, but really that is my only complaint about the room. While sound may travel through […] walls, the hotel has an 11pm noise curfew, but I didn't have any issues with it. The continental breakfast was included with my room but it was very small. The continental breakfast did not match or tie in with the quality of the facility. One morning, we just decided it was not up to par and we went out to breakfast before going to the convention center. I get as good or better at day's inn and comfort and quality. The Cork is better than that.

Me, my wife, and 9 month old baby stayed here in December. Staff was very nice and helpful. They even had a crib ready in the room without me asking. Had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast offerings could be better.

My husband, son and I have made staying at the Cork Factory Hotel a New Year's Eve tradition. And, as always, this year we were not disappointed. We enjoy the special menu for the evening in the restaurant and love the "lodge" feel of the hotel.

This is a lovely hotel beautifully done, the only problem was it seemed liked the walls/ceiling were paper thin! I could hear the people above me word for word their TV, and it sounded like there were a heard of elephants walking around. The ceiling is open with posts and beams which looks awesome BUT did not provide any sound barrier and it was really […] hard for me to sleep. It was very creaky and noisy. For that reason I would not spend that kind of money to stay there again. That was very disappointing. I suppose if you go stay on the top floor so you don't have to deal with that. I would definitely stay there again. i did not visit the restaurant area, but the room was great and the beds were comfy.

Make sure you get a room that is pictured in the ad ! We got the cheapest room, ended up being in the "Annex" ... nice room but nothing like the ad ! Guess we figured all the rooms would still have the warehouse look, maybe smaller.... guess you get what you pay for. Disappointed.

This stylish hotel offers many comforts for a winter stay...big comforters on the beds, free internet, complementary breakfast, and a glowing fireplace in the lobby. The decor is attractive. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, the Cap and Cork; the food was delicious and portions were generous. We loved it, and will stay again in the future.

We love historic builings and this conersion of a part of the Kerr Glass factory complex looks great, tasteful decor, lots of antique tools as decorations. Only one flaw to avoid, the wood framed floors are loose (over 100 years old) and when anyone walks on the floor above, it sounds like they are in your room. when I reserved this hotel requested them to please have a tub in the living room which they told me no problem, when we got there NO TUB IN THE LIVING ROOM was very disappointed, was the only failure other than that very good hotel.

As someone who grew up in Lancaster, it was a real treat to see how they converted this hotel into a gem!! Check-in was quick, easy and very informal. Rooms were terrific -- we loved the exposed ceilings and the very comfortable bed. Breakfast was charming and the staff even took the time to talk with us about the restaurant menu and its offerings.

If you enjoy lovingly restored 19th century brick & wood timber buildings, check out this very beautiful conversion. Locals will tell you this was part of the Kerr Glass complex, but even though I attended high school nearby in the 1960's I never knew this historic building was surrounded by newer industrial buildings, that have since been converted […] to offices and the Science Museum. The interior decorating is very tasteful, subduded but elegant. The rooms are great - except for noise from anyone walking on the wooden floor above your room. I would highly recommend this hotel. I stayed there for the night on my way back to Philadelphia and truly enjoyed the experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Turning an old factory into a hotel, great idea. It's unique, has history, and is a great way to re-use space. Excellent food, friendly staff, and lots of character.

great experience, very convenient

Beautiful hotel is a fascinating renovation of a cork factory. Very comfortable yet unique hotel. Friendly staff. Walking distance to downtown Lancaster. Continental Breakfast included. I would stay here again.

This hotel is just far enough of the beaten path to make you feel like you've excaped the hustle n' bustle of evevryday stress, but more than convient to anything you may need or want to do. The staff was really nice n' willing to help, the hotel was neat n' clean, the restaurant food was good, but a little over priced for the quality( I ordered the […] steak at the tune of 35.00 n' it had a great flavor, but even though I ordered it med. it still was tough.. didn't expect that), however the drink where priced very fairly n' made corectly. We where their for a fun girl's weekend n' we are already talking about planning another one w/ even more friends next time. We were very pleased in finding this gem on hotels.com. In fact, we decided to forego getting up early and heading out for sight seeing to relax and enjoy the hotel. Beautiful historic hotel in downtown Lancaster. I travel extensively for business and this was just a one night stay. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and very comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone. On-site restaurant is pricey, so I ate at Lancaster Brewing Company, which was also very good.

our recent stay at the cork factory hotel was great. hotel served a continental breakfast that was beautifully presented and had a nice assortment. dinner at the cork and cap was excellent.looking forward to visiting again.

This hotel maybe new but it has a very quaint fun place to stay at. The plus is they had a great continental breakfast with plenty of coffee tea fresh fruits yogurt and different bagels that you can toast with butter & different jellies. The hotel was close to everything plus it's an hr. away from Hershey. Plenty to see we needed a few more days.

Very cool place to stay, would stay there again. Parking is not great, but worth it anyway. Beautifully re-done, spacious rooms, great deal!

What a beautiful hotel. We were coming to Lancaster for a basketball showcase at Franklin and Marshall. I was very pleased to see this different hotel on Hotels.com. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone. What a beautiful place.
