Jim and leigh were the most helpfull hosts. The house is just fab and we were walking distance to everything. We felt a little bit apprehensive at first walking in the dark back to our place but it was all very safe! There a people every where at night walking the streets and they all seem to be happy! Your in some-one elses house which makes it all very homey, but you are your own free agent, no-one is there to lock up after you each night you have your own key to come and go as you please! Jim and Leigh are great! I really really enjoyed my stay at the Elysian Fields Inn. Having grown somewhat tired of traditional hotels, I prefer b&b's even during business travel. The Elysian Fields Inn has a lot of historic charm and character. The location is PERFECT --- walking distance to great jazz clubs and restaurants. The Elysian Fields Inn provided an outstanding home base for my recent visit to New Orleans. The hosts, Leigh and Jim are very hospitable and will provide you with excellent dining and entertainment options should you ask. This bed and breakfast has a very "homey" feel to it which was just the ticket after a night of either prowling the French Quarter […] or catching one of the many jazz bands on Frenchmen street. The inn itself is well maintained and it really feels as if you are spending the night with a favorite relative.
