Excellent hotel and friendly staff! The hotel offers great amenities for business travelers. It is located just a block away from HK's famous Time Square and Causeway Bay shopping area. HK's subway system is very efficient and best way to get around the city. The hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable as you would expect from a 4-5star hotel.

Location was great, just 5minutes walk from Times square, which is where cause way bay MTR is located. However, if you have a lot of luggages, it is better to take a cab as the walk way from Times square to the hotel is kind of narrow and it is with lots of traffic. The limited snacks they provided looked like the left overs from the buffet spread. I actually saw the same item at the breakfast buffet spread the next morning. The Club room has exactly the same lay out with the special view room which we stayed previously . The hotel actually presented us a surprise by sending us a bottle of red wine as it was my birthday. However , the attendant could not speak proper mandarin and could not communicate to us that it was a complimentary gift from the hotel. The hotel was within a short walking distance to the central shopping area in Causeway Bay. There were restaurants just across the street open for all day dining. We did not take the MTR this stay but the MTR station exit should be just about a 5-minute walk away. We had a superior room with king bed. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is what you would expect from a hotel in this category but I was disappointed that I was not able to get the room temperature above 20 degrees Celsius even after their maintenance staff had come twice claiming the "problem was solved".

The Hotel itself was lovely but the service by staff was ordinary at best! We booked and paid for 2x rooms in advance each for 2 adults and a child however when we arrived in our rooms there was just a king bed in each. I travel several times a year to Hong Kong, and have stayed in many different hotels. I booked the Crowne Plaza based on its high rating with other Expedia travelers. My quick view is that it's a good though not great. I'd rate it about a 4.0 out of 5. On the plus side, my room was very nice, good bed, good TV, nice bathroom, good quality towels, quiet- […] no problems whatsoever. The furniture was nothing at all fancy, the carpet looked like they got a really good buy as opposed to really good style, and the chairs didn't match. The negatives are outside the room. I arrived with my business partner at 3PM on a Saturday afternoon, and neither of our rooms was ready. Judging from the large group of guests in the hotel lobby, I would say we were not the only folks to have to wait. The fitness center is decent, not large, but most midrange hotels in Hong Kong don't have really good fitness centers. Internet is an extra charge. It wasn't working Saturday afternoon, but speed was just fine when it finally came on. I'd rate decor outside the rooms a rating of 3 out of 5. The lobby is small, and its furniture is cheap. The elevators were playing old Swing era elevator music that gave the hotel a 1960s Howard Johnson's kind of vibe. Overall, it seems that the Crowne Plaza people refurbed an older basic hotel, and skimped on the public area changes. Overall, 4/5 seems about right. This hotel offers close proximity to literally thousands of shopping, eating and other holiday activities. Fom luxury malls to bargains in an open market, Causeway Bay offers it all without having to hail a cab or use public transport. My room had a birds eye view of the race course which many of the rooms do. The Crowne Plaza Hong Kong is a a modern hotel with great ambience and style. The deluxe room was spacious and the king size be super comfortable from a western perspective. The bathroom was large and of contemporry design clad in marble and well appointed with quality fixtures, including an optional rainshower in the stand alone shower. (the bath was stand alone also which is a rarity in hotels of this price range on Hong Kong Island) Friendly staff made me feel welcome and were keen to help me with any queries that I had. A stunning bar overlooking the racecourse and mountains beyone on the 28th floor is a highlight for a nightcap. Gym and pool on the 27th floor also have incredible views. I have no critisisms of my experiece at this hotel and would reccommend it for holiday goers looking to be in the midst of a shopping district that is open from 11am to 11pm, with restaurants & bars open all hours. It states on hotels.com that this hotel has harbour view rooms and that a reqest would be put in for us to have one. It does not even have any harbour view rooms!!!!!! Very disappointing! Please get all facts straight before putting info on your websight. That being said, it was a lovely hotel with excellent service.

Great views from the 27th & 28th floors of the Happy Valley Race Track from the public floors. No Chinese restaurant in this relatively new hotel (approx. one year). The room had ultra modern features, such as: moveable walls - the bathroom was open plan - but one wall moved to close off the open glass shower stall from the bedroom, another wall was […] the door to the bathroom; Grohe fixtures; glass desk with office-style, accessible electrical outlets and adequate network connections (fee for service); spaceous room. Breakfast included: not bad, large selection. Bad: taxi service at door must circumnavigate the race track (road) so to save time and $$, catch a taxi across the street (sometimes not easy, but watch where people catch the taxi from your breakfast table and it's not so bad): check-in when busy is crowded and not fun, but the staff is professional and understands the situation, so negotiate); not so bad afterall. We stayed here for 8 days and i must say it is a wonderful hotel. The staff are excellent and cant do enough for you, the location is convienient, close to Causeway bay station, and the rooftop bar is wonderful, although, i am not sure that the pool being so close to the bar on the 28th floor is the best spot, but it looks great. The only downside is […] that the extras at this hotel are very expensive. A cocktail is £10 and a pint of lager £6.50. Room service is extortionate, two burgers and a dessert £50!!!! We wanted to spend more time in the roof top bar, but couldnt afford it which is a shame as it is so lovely with great views. These were the main reasons my wife booked Crowne Plaza. Since it is new, it is also very clean. The room was really big with a big space between the bed and the LCD TV. The disappointments - you have to pay for wifi in the room; we left our room 930 in morning and it is not yet made up when we return 330PM; my wife and I were awakened at 330 in the morning by an ringing alarm - we opened our door to take a look several times but nobody in the 7th floor were out just like us and as if nothing happened; I called up service center and I was told it was a false alarm? Huh? Morning came and I reported to the front desk and I was told there was some problem(?) in the 5th floor and all the floors nearby were alarmed. Maybe a written communication from the manager would help explain what really happened.
