Hotel Murten - Murten

This was my second stay here in 2011 - the buffet breakfast is good (lovely fresh bread) and the rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast seems to be included in the room rate but it does not show anywhere. Also you have to pay visitors tax when you check out but this is standard for many parts of Switzerland. The bathrooms seem to vary quite a lot in […] size but are clean with nice towels and soap/gel dispensers. There is free parking right outside and you are only 100m from the entrance to the old 14th century town which is stunning to walk around with loads of places to eat. You can then walk off your meal with a walk by the lake. Good selection of drinks at the bar in the hotel. I haven't eaten here in the evening. The prices look somewhat steep ! No tea tray or minibar in the rooms but this is common in Switzerland. There were a couple of bottles of complimentary water and glasses in the room as well as an LCD tv. Hotel has wifi and you can buy internet access at reception. It's part of a national hotspot system and the credit is time based and can be used over a number of days. Previously I bought some credit and used it elsewhere in Switzerland at another hotel later in our stay. The downside of this hotel is the lack of air conditioning or fans in the rooms - so be wary if it is very hot. If you leave the windows open you will hear the clock chimes ringing all night (every quarter hour). The hotel is right next to the road but there is only local traffic which dies down very quickly after around 10pm Staff seem to be fluent in German, French and English and were very courteous and helpful. There are lifts but they are rather small so I would imagine that anyone in a wheelchair may struggle somewhat. I would stay here again but not if it was expected to be very hot ! อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Das Hotel Murten liegt zentral, bietet ein gutes Frühstücksbuffet und verfügt über nettes Personal. Die Zimmer sind praktisch und stilvoll eingerichtet und das Bett war sehr bequem. Abstriche muss man aber beim doch sehr eng geratenen Badezimmer machen. Für eine Nacht war das Hotel aber mehr als OK.

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen. Nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof und der Altstadt entfernt. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet, wirken allerdings etwas lieblos und kalt. Ausserdem ist das Hotel sehr ringhörig.
