this is a very comfortable for familys, specially for the suites, the staff were very accomodating. We enjoy so much in there pool. I'm looking to stay there next time.

We stayed at the Lancaster Hotel for 3 days, 4 nights. The hotel is located within walking distance to Star Mall and a short taxi ride to SM Mega Mall. The only complaint we had was there was no hot water and we had to call the Front desk to get this resolved. Wi-Fi access only in the lobby area and the signal was mostly good. Elevator was always busy; there is a service elevator but the staff uses the customer elevator all the time. Housekeeping is a bunch of school kids running around. No towels....beds only changed when you rip off the sheets and put them on floor. Breakfast is horrible especially for a Westerner. Old hotel, dim lights, outdated bathroom, dark wood, 1970's era motif. The staff was helpful and over helpful due to the fact the hotel uses hospitality school students for cheap labor to overpopulate the place. We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit. All rooms are very small, it is just so hard to move around the room. Unit is clean but lacks all the kitchen utensils described in the ad. The Hotel appearance is fine in the lobby and outside, but the hallways outside of the rooms have the same temperature as in the streets. There is no airconditioning in the hallways. The gym is disgusting, outdated equipments very small place, and you cannot last 30 minutes to exercise because of the heat. This hotel ranks 3 rating to me.

One of the few changes that is somewhat troubling is the new charges for Internet access---yet I found upon inquiry that not only is it not for Wireless Services which don't exist--but the surcharges are not being used to install such a network service. Location very convenient close to attractive malls like SM Megamall or Podium, Rooms comfortable but without coffee maker which is a small minus as most comparable hotels do offer coffee making facilities in their rooms. Service good and prompt and restaurant with nice menu

This was a great hotel and the staff were excellent and really knew how to provide a quick service. I was a little upset that the hotel did not offer free WIFI. This is essential and every hotel should offer this. I would be happy to stay at the Lancaster in Manila again.

hotel is average, but the reason I extended my stay for another 2 wks. is the hospitality of the staff. From the security to bellman ,front desk bar staff and all of them including the asst. human resources director were really nice and well trained. I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. In my time in the Philippines, I learned that a "3" there is not a "3" here in USA. So, just accept it. The hotel is in a good location as far as things to do. The food in the restaurant was very good and priced well. I got off the elevator at the 24th floor and I was immediately not impressed. There was not much decoration and it was hot. It was not inviting. I went into the room and immediately felt the incredible heat and the sub-par room. There was scratches on the table, etc. I quickly turned on the air and it did not seem like it was on. Later, while in bed, it dripped down on me several times. On a scale of 1-10, the room was probably a 6. Again, there furniture was scratched up.. it was old looking but comfortable. My first thought is - "I hated for my last 2 days in Philippines to be here." However, the location of the hotel (malls, restaurants and "tacos"), the friendliness of the employees, the view, etc. was very good. The room had cable and internet (100 PHP). I loved this hotel only issue I had was the ac wasn't blowing hard enough even on high power but it was still a comfy room! Big tub and nice bed:) the malls are just walking distance or 60 pesos taxi ride.

Rooms were old but comfortable. Hotel Staff were very helpful. The hotel is close to major areas in Manilla. Hotel food was good. Felt quite safe in the environment.

This is a great mid-price hotel. The staff are friendly, place is clean, rooms quiet etc. The location is central, but not picturesque (a street so grim even the cats are not too proud to crap in public).
