Great Residence Hotel - กรุงเทพฯ

I stayed here for a quick overnight stay after coming from BKK airport late at night. The next morning, I was heading out of town. Let me say that if you are looking for a cheap overnight stay near BKK, there is nothing wrong with this hotel, especially if you plan to return to BKK the next day (they have a free airport shuttle to and from). The hotel […] looks nothing like the photos (it's run down, my window looked out onto a trash-riddled field), and my bathroom (on the 3rd floor) smelled like sewer. Otherwise, my room was clean and the A/C worked fine. Wifi signal was incredibly poor, essentially futile. My main gripe is that the next day, I tried to catch a taxi into town. I asked the front desk if they could call a taxi for me, and it seems like they have their own "taxi calling" service, and asked me to pay THEM, not the taxi driver like normal. Luckily, I went outside the hotel to talk directly with the taxi, who quoted a fare 200-300 baht less than the fare the hotel quoted (essentially, the hotel wanted to pocket the difference as commission). And the taxi still refused to use the meter. This is what happens when you stay in a hotel far from the main street. If you stay here, I would highly recommend you wave down your own taxi from the street (it's posible) and totally bypass the hotel's front desk. From my experience, it seems like they are out to make a pretty dime at your expense. Also, there is nothing nearby (only BKK airport), so I would not stay here if you are vacationing for a while. This would have been a fine place, except in spite of me asking 3 times, the AC in my room never got fixed, and they kept insisting on "fixing" it rather than giving me a new room.. My room was sweltering, I slept with a window open. Their idea of "fixing" it was pushing buttons on the remote until the fan was on high, and saying, "There, it will cool […] off shortly...You don't need a new room." Otherwise, I would have been perfectly happy. But now, I say to others, don't expect AC, and don't expect any maintainence. Good Hotel for this price and location.

Perfect location and perfect price for perfect overnight stay when connecting to another flight at BKK. Staff very helpful...no worries here. You will be taken care of ...right from the time they pick you up at the airport. Representative is always at the airport (Level 2, Door 3 or 4), no need to call.

I stayed in Great Residence for 2 nights before flying out of Suvarnabhumi Airport. The hotel was well maintained, the staff fall over themselves to help and it is only 10 minutes form the airport making it very convenient. This place was EXCELLENT. Great location just off the airport property. Takes less than 5 minutes on the Hotel's shuttle bus. If you book the right package you get either 1 way OR 2 way transport included. Easy walking distance from places to eat and drink, 7-11's within walking distance. We chose this hotel mainly for its location close to the airport and very low price which even included return transfers to the airport! The hotel is basic and clean, the bed a little hard but I'm not complaining. The swimming pool is also nice for a refreshing dip. A nice surprise is the hotel's bar/restaurant which has a really nice outdoor area along […] some water. The service in the bar/restaurant was excellent and the food was great. Recommend for a quick stop over hotel to catch an early flight out to the islands in the morning. A good stopover hotel with great service. Room is simple but has all you need. The hotel has three identical buildings so you may look over the river, or you may look over into another room. The hotel had great access to airport, treated me very well, had all the things I needed for my stay and allowed me to relax in preparation for an early flight in the morning. Room was tidy and had all I needed and the staff was very helpful when I needed assistance. Really enjoyed the experience and will stay there again,

Real happy with the room. I got the cheap one, Very friendly staff. For any tour info see Jed he was more than helpful. He took me to a meeting and waited till I was done. Excellent service no hidden charges Good person. Speaks pretty good English. I love this country ! Restaurant in the hotel, room service, English TV , nice pool, more restaurants […] down the street. Shuttle picked me up at the air port and gave me a ride back...no charge. Driver was very grateful with a tip I gave him. If your going to book on line go ahead and pay for all your days it will probably be cheaper than paying for one night and paying for more nights after you get their ! Close to the airport. Clean and priced right. I gave it a rating of 5 -- great value for a low budget hotel (It's obviously not a 5 star hotel.) One suggestion -- clarify how to pick up the shuttle from the airport in the property description. Nice budget choice for a quick airport turnaround.

we were only here for one night, I chose it because it was close to the airport and included airport transfers, we were just flying through bangkok on the way home. We were only at the hotel for 10 hours, but it was an unpleasant 10 hours. the location is below the highway - kind of creepy. The room was BARE MINIMUM - kinda felt like dorm room - tile […] floor and bare walls, just a creep feel to the place. The bed looked dirty because they had a white sheet on top of a mustard colored blanket. When i pulled the sheet away from the blanket i found a bunch of dark black hairs - gross. we chose to sleep on top of the bed rather than under the covers. i found a few little ants - again gross. we ate at the restaurant which was ok...but again felt creepy, there was no one around. they missed our wake up call, good thing i was barely sleeping. the one highlight was the airport shuttle service. And the hotel did respond to an email i sent them asking about the shuttle which was nice. but i wouldnt stay here again, i'd rather pay for a taxi to and from the airport. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The swimming pool was refreshing and a fun way to end the evening! The staff was friendly and helpful, and there was excellent and inexpensive food within a 7 minute walk.

Convenient, good staff, very clean and comfortable room. Would stay again.

Clean, Cheap and effective . Its far from the tourist attractions of the city and it is painful to commute up and down. Stay if you have another flight to catch or landing late night.

il fait trop chaud dans les chambres pourtant je suis arrivée a 1h du matin,un four du jamais vu le temps que la climatisation refroidisse il es 3h du matin donc impossible de dormir pour un réveil a 5h45.a l avenir je choisi un autre hôtel et puis le chauffeur de la navette insiste pour avoir un pourboire,obliger de le remballer

Accueil détestable, cuisine du restaurant digne d'un camp de réfugié, vas et viens dans les couloirs toute la nuit, bruit incessant. Fuyez cet hôtel....

Hôtel très bruyant. Aucune règle de maintien du silence n'est appliquée de 00h à 05h du matin. Les clients vont et viennent en permanence durant la nuit. Le bruit des avions qui passent à intervalles réguliers n'est en fait qu'une légère nuisance à côté des nuisances des clients qui ne sont pas rappelés à l'ordre par le service de l'hôtel. Wir haben im Hotel nur 12 Stunden verbracht auf unserem Zwischenstopp nach Wien. Der kleine Pool ist angenehm zum relaxen und das Essen in einem der kleinen Restaurants in der Nähe war sehr lecker. Flughafen-Shuttle hat gut funktioniert und das Preisleistungsverhältnis passt . Lästig waren nur die Angestellten im Bezug auf die Höhe des Trinkgelds.

夜空港着、翌朝乗り換えでまた空港へという状況において、空港から近いことが魅力的でした。 翌朝、朝が早かったものの空港まで無料のバスで送っていただき大変助かりました。 眠るだけの目的だったためお安めのお部屋を取りましたが特に問題ありませんでした。

Bokade en bungalow där det regnade in ordentligt vid flera tillfällen. Personalen gjorde inget åt detta trots att vi sa till. Städaren kom inte förrän kl 18 på kvällen och han torkade inte av bänkytor och bord på hela vistelsen trots att de var kladdiga. Inte heller fick vi någon påfyllning av duschkräm/schampo. Beställde en bil i receptionen och fick […] pris och allt, när vi kom dit tidigt på morgonen för att hämta den sa de att det inte fanns någon bil och att de inte samarbetade med någon firma trots att det stod i deras pärm. De gjorde heller inget försök att hjälpa oss genom att ringa något bolag utan bara struntade i det. Dåligt urval på frukosten. När vi duschade försvann strömmen i vårt hus. geeignet für 1-2 Nächte wenn man weiter reist und in der Nähe des Flughafen sein möchte. Zur City fährt man mit dem Taxi ca. 45Min. Saubere Zimmer und ruhig (obwohl es an der Schnellstrasse liegt) ausserdem gibt es einen Aussenpool und ein Restaurant. der einzige mangel ist das auffinden des transfer mannes am flughafen, da dafür keine information gegeben wurde (gegenüber gate 4 auf ankunftsebene)
