Clean and tidy, staff friendly and helpful, a pleasant stay all round!

Really nice hotel, comfortable room and only 5 minutes walk from the NEC and train station. Only slight negative was that the car park was always full.

Good location at doorstep of NEC and railway. Room although clean the flloorboard had gaps and the shower cubical had slight black moulding in corners. I had to phone after booking, as required a room with 2 beds, only 6 in the hotel, so manually ordered only. Room was small compared to Premier Inn family rooms, but big enough, and clean. due to the vacinity of the airport and the nec. this hotel is perfect for a overnight stop and airport parking should you be going on holiday,the reception staff and bar staff were very helpful ,i booked a standard double room which was ideal for a overnight stop

I booked in here literally last minute after a weekend down to Birmingham went a little wrong. Needed a hotel by the Airport for a flight in the morning. The receptionist was nice and was helpful with the directions to the airport. The room was quite cold when I got in and the heater a little slow to heat up the room but once it was up to tempreature […] it was fine. I am not a fan of laminate wood flooring let alone in a hotel room - its much nicer walking around on carpet - so had to keep my shoes on so my feet didnt get cold. Water pressure in shower was a little low but tempreature was fine. My side of the hotel was a little noisy with road noise in particular. From the hotel it was less than a five minute walk to the air-link monorail at the NEC/Train Station to BHX itself. Not sure I'd want to do it late at night or early morning as it is basically through an industrial estate but i'm sure many people do it. The FREE internet was very useful though in room via the supplied Ethernet cable. No wi-fi in the rooms not even Openzone. Patchy 3G from O2 for the iPhone/iPad users. All things considered for the last minute booking, free internet and general quality of the hotel I'd recommend this hotel. Great location and hotel for NEC ,My only observation would be that we were dissapointed with the comfort of the mattress (we both woke up with bad backs ) and pillows (lumpy!) ,I wouldnt of expected this issue with newish hotel.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada Encore. I had an early flight so it is only a short walk from the NEC-Airport monorail. Might be a little dark to walk it at night but fine in the morning. We chose this hotel for it's convenient location close to the LG and the station. I wanted somewhere that was safe, convenient and simple but of a decent standard for myself and my daughter to stay at. The hotel was clean and tidy. Not the best 2* hotel around the NEC/airport area but, if you looking for a cheap and convenient place to stay overnight, then this is a good choice.

We stayed 2 nights, we found the hotel lived up to our expectations. A modern hotel, where the staff were approachable and service was of a high standard. Quality of the food was excellent. The room had pleasant furnishings, the shower is like a mini wet room. The bed was comfortable.

A nice little hotel with enough facilities for the overnighter. Friendly and helpful staff. A MUCH better hotel than the 5* ones that charge for I-net but sadly it did not work in the room when I was there. Walking distance to the NEC and on to the Airport. Highly recommended for a reasonable price.

The hotel accommodation was good value for money at the rate charged - comfortable, clean rooms with modern amenities. On suite wet room was of very good standard. Unfortunately, the double glazing is ineffectual in reducing the noise from passing traffic. This and the rather expensive buffet breakfast were the only downside. Modern, clean and bare basics. very convenient for airport or NEC and easy to get to from motorway.

Friendly, professional staff and very clean cannot fault it!!

The service was excellent we were changed rooms as the single bed was not ready for my son in the first room we were allocated. Had excellent service staff were very friendly.

nice hotel although the main car park is full all the time , overflow car is a walk away could be a problem if you had lots of luggage or children. the rooms are very clean and the hotel is modern but i prefer carpet in a room not laminate

Stayed here as attending a course which was being held in the hotel. Very convienient, few minutes walk from the train station. Booked a room for 3 adults and pleasantly suprised to find 3 beds - double, single and sofa bed! Not much space in the room due to this but adequate for our needs. Staff helpful, Food was nice, bar prices reasonable.

Very convenient for events at the NEC. The staff were very helpful. Bar was quite pricey. My room was on the front of the hotel facing car park, and was a little noisey due to the comings and goings of other guests. I would stay there again, but would ask for a room at the rear of the hotel. Good value for money.

From the pre-arrival email to leaving the hotel at the end of our stay the hotel was friendly, welcoming and excellent value for money. We booked a family room for 3 adults and it was fully made up and very welcoming when we arrived with the 2 most important things readily available. - a tea-maker and comfortable beds. I just wish there had been a table […] and chairs in the room but I guess they had to put the 3rd bed somewhere. However, the room was spacious enough for the 3 of us and it was spotless and comfortable. The staff were helpful and very welcoming on arrival. It was really close to the NG arena and other halls if that was where you were visiting. There were plenty of cabs available so getting to the concert was no problem. The only downside was the lack of parking spaces. We arrived at 2.30 and had great difficulty finding somewhere to park. Perhaps they should ask the guests who can leave their cars at the hotel when they go on holiday to park them in the gated car park across the road to leave room for short-stay guests. Great Hotel, clean good value what more could you ask for. The Girl that served us in the bar was the only complaint we had, not at all helpful, actually she was rude, please tell her to treat her customers with a bit more respect. Otherwise this was a perfect hotel and would defiently recommend it.

I've now stayed at this hotel on three separate occasions whilst on business. On each occasion, there has been an issue. Being reasonable, I understand that problems occur, but the issue with this Hotel is they way they handle the problem. On this occasion, I received an unauthorised charge to my account. I brought this to the hotels attention, and […] was assured that I would be called back during the day with a resolution. Despite this promise, the call never materialised. This was my second stay at the Ramada Encore. The hotel is typically a branded corporate budget stay, but unlike Holiday Inn Express or Premier Inns, the Encore still manages to maintain an air of quality and class. The Hotels is located near the airport and NEC so is ideally located for these venues, although don't expect to find much else in close […] proximity. The area is void or local restaurants, bars or similar evening entertainment. You are however about 15mins from Solihull town centre. The hotel provides complimentary secure parking, and you are greeted by friendly and professional staff at check-in. The rooms comfortable, but with no frills. They are clean and sufficiently equipped for an overnight or business stay. The rooms are furnished with walk-in showers rather than baths. The hotels has an on site restaurant and bar, the former of which I did not sample. The bar is expensive, but typical of most hotels. On my first stay I noticed that the laminate flooring in my room, and several gaps of up to 10mm between the panels. I initially passed this off as a one off. However having stayed in a second room at this hotel I notice that this room also suffers from the same problem. These gaps are located in the middle of the floor also. Good location, very comfortable room, pleasant staff. The room could have been cleaner as it seemed dusty at check in. My son woke up in the morning with a rash from the starched sheets. I would book again but they didn't exceed my expectations.

I chose this hotel for a 1 night stay as the location was ideal for our visit to the NEC. We were greeted in a professional and friendly manner by a gentleman on the desk, he explained it was recommended we book if we wanted to have our evening meal in the hotel. I stayed at Hilton hotel the night before, and I found that Ramada Encore is much better than Hilton Hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful at Ramada Encore, and the rooms are clean and the building is very new comparing to Hilton. I would say that Ramada Encore is value for money. I would not recommend this hotel. It was listed as at the airport with a Courtesy Shuttle. However, when I asked at the airport where to get the shuttle I was told there was NO shuttle to this hotel. You need to take the air link out to the International train station and then walk to the hotel. As if that was not bad enough the directions I was given […] took me in the wrong direction and I ended up walking for a good 30-40 minutes before finally finding the hotel. We booked this hotel as was just a short walk to the LG Arena. Perfect for what we needed, rooms were clean and as we received a family room very spacious. Would stay here again.

Very convenient to NEC once you find the "quick way". Hotel is new and therefore clean and staff are exceptionally pleasant. Restaurant good with big choice of dishes. Bedrooms were lovely but had to ask for extra heater for the room just too cold for comfort.

The hotel itself is ideally situated for working or visiting the NEC as you can walk in to the halls in the morning. The rooms are very basic but clean, the beds are also very hard. Towels nice and fluffy, walk in shower makes quite a mess of the bathroom as there is no door. Simple, clean, functional rooms, with free wired internet connection in rooms. Pleasantly surprised with the standard of service and room quality. Did not sample hotel food, restaurant or bar so cannot comment.

We booked this hotel because it is close to the NEC. The restaurant/bar area was bland, the seating very uncomfortable. The meal we purchased was not reasonably priced. I had the grilled chicken; this was a flat peice of chicken grilled dry with a few boiled potatoes and small amount of vegatables. My partner had the beef casserole with dumpling; This […] was a bowl of beef in gravy with two hard dumplings - no potatoes. The room was small and the bathroom very tight for space. The TV reception was not very good. No wardrobe - just hooks and a few coat-hangers. The bed was very very hard. We did not sleep and we were in pain in the morning. I couldn't fault the hotel at all, as it is very new & recently built. Rooms are comfortable & modern, with free Internet access (which i only realised when i arrived, and hadn't brought my laptop!). I was attending a show at the NEC & was told by staff that it was only 5 minutes walk away. Technically this was true, as the NEC building was indeed 5 […] minutes away. However, one thing they don't tell you is that once you've managed to find the (not very well signposted) rear entrance to the building, you had a good 10 minute walk inside to get to the main entrance!
