Fairly modern hotel so you would expect to be in good condition. The welcome was really warm and all staff very friendly, good quality breakfast in the morning.

had a room with sofa bed, room nice, bathroom was very nice. Floor could have been swept better. Bit of advice, there is a Toby pub at the same place which offers breakfast cheaper so could use them and save a couple of quid

hotel was easy to find, all staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. quiet hotel and well presented.

Overall the room provided in this chain is what you'd expect, pretty basic but functional, wireless internetin the room didn't work, although I could pick it up, wired is provided, if you want to work late take a torch as the room lighting is really poor for reading or computer use.

Last minute booking and needed to be close to Leeds & Sheffield. Relatively new hotel so still fresh, modern and clean. Breakfast buffet was ok too. Internet connection in room via cable was ok but sometimes painfully slow. I didn't use the wireless in the public areas. There is a Toby Carvery on the same site which was excellent value compared to the […] hotel's own restaurant. Very neat rooms. Friendly staff. Lighting in the room are a bit dim. Good parking facilities and lounge area is comfy.

I stay here regularly with work and the only thing I don't like is that the lights in the room are all very dim so difficult to read comfortably and it makes the rooms seem cold. Staff are always very friendly and breakfast always lovely too.

This hotel is fairly new and the furnishings used were definitely on the cheap side and not built to last. It's soon become tired. The corridors absolutely stunk of smoke, reception said there was nothing they could do about it. Nothing?!? Seriously? The hotel is very close to the M1 & also a railway line. Our room overlooked the motorway but with the window closed the noise wasn't too intrusive. Opening the window was a completely different story though. We stayed three nights & at 2.30-AM the first night we were woken by the fire alarm & had to evacuate the hotel. It wasn't the hotels fault though […] that a vending machine had started to smoke & it certainly made the stay at the Encore a memorable one. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel & so can't comment on the food or drinks. There is a Toby inn right outside the hotel & another large pub just up the Manchester road. Nearby Dodworth has a shop, pubs & an Indian restaurant so there is a decent choice of places for a meal. Overall we were happy with the hotel, it was clean & very modern, it served a purpose & I would without hesitation stay there again. one. The hotel is new and the rooms are okay if you are just on a business trip and not looking for anything particularly memorable. I would have expected at the minimum to have a hot shower, unfortunately I had to make do with a luke warm one, not my idea of good service. We loved it. The room was clean, well equipped, spacious, beautiful views, friendly staff. We visited Wentworth Castle - a hidden gem. Can't wait to go back

The hotel newly built and is well run with friendly staff. The rooms are reasonably sized with coffee/tea making facilities. The bathroom is a triumph of style over practicality. There is a walk in shower that is nice to use but water almost inevitably gets into the room. The pop-up sink plug is just plain daft.
