It was ok but the food was not at the level of a 5 star hotel, (concentrate juice and not natural, poor selections of internacional items and others), the service need much training and speak a litter more English

Great Hotel in Pudong. Chose this over the conference center hotel although I attended a conference there. It's only a 5-10 minutes walk away but quieter (you won't be solicited for 'special services'). Probably not a location I would choose for a leisure trip as you would probably want to stay on the other side of the river then.

This hotel was amazing (especially for the price). The staff made me feel like an international superstar. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. The hotel is on the Bund, and was a short walk from several tourist attractions, as well as the subway. I have no doubt in my mind I will stay here again.

Staff extreme concerned of pamper you at any time. Communication was not a problem at all even in Spanish and that's a lot to say for China. Location is great just 3 min walking to Pearl Tower, Malls, Restaurants and Metro station. Spa and pool area vey comfortable. I will definetly stay every time at this hotel

Top location, great hotel in all aspects. Would recommend! Good standard of Italian, Spanish and Chinese restaurants, even though they are very pricey as is the laundry service!

Fabulous hotel, we had a superior double with a Bund view whicwas outstanding! The room was very luxurious, in a perfect spot for Pearl Tower, the Bund, the "Bottle Opener". The only downside was our visitors arrived from Beijing only to be told wle had not cheked in and they couldn't find us in their hotel!

My husband and i could find no fault with this hotel - the standard was very high. It had all the requities you would expect from a quality hotel. All the staff were very courteous and heplful.

For a new "5 star" hotel it is already showing a bit of wear. But that is minor. Try getting food in any of the 4 restraunts on Sunday morning at 11AM. Guess what? They are all closed. How can you not think to have a single place to serve food open at that time. They also are quite proud to be having Cuban Cigars for sale. Now if you go to the Cigar […] Bar on the 30th floor and purchase a Cigar well, that is cash only, can't sign to room, can't pay with credit card. You must give cash up front, OK whatever please give me my cigar, I will sign my groups drinks against my room. So now can I have my receipt please?, "Sorry Sir, we cannot give you a receipt for this purchase" Really? I thought they were joking. We discussed for some time and I was given no receipt. They were not joking. Finally, drinks and food were overpriced, even for Pudong and even for Shanghai, it is overpriced. Not just overpriced but the food was pretty bad! I had been to the lobby bar previously for a meeting and booked the hotel based on location and a 48 hour sale. I will not stay there again. I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights on business, and could not fault it all, the staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough for you, the facilities were excellent. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

A great hotel in a really good location. Short walk to the subway and lots of shopping nearby. Possibly the biggest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Too bad no wifi inside the room. The waiter at the lounge was terrible in manner. The worse thing is the shelf where fridge was installed, the size is wrong and if you try to open the fridge from the top, you finger will get squeezed by the shelf top and it bleeds my finger skin. Other than that, everything is good.

The Hotel is located about 35 minutes from the Pudong international airport. It is surrounded by big shopping complex such as IFC mall, Zhen Da shopping centre, the landmark Grand Hyatt Hotel, Shanghai Pearl Tower and Aquarium. (about 1 C) We like the hotel design very much as there are many details in their architecture design. It is really a wonderful hotel except their buffet dinner not so attractive. I stayed here twice. Great customer service. Truly a five star hotel. Only thing is that this place is located on the Pudong side and 5-7 mins to the nearest metro.

The water from the shower leaked outside the cabin. The heater could not be turned off and it was so hot in the rooms. Nobody speaks english and those that did.....barely did. But the staff were very kind and honest.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful. Easy access via cab ride to everywhere. Next time I go to Shanghai, I will stay there.

Great Location, close to the metro system which was easy to use, great food and the staff were wonderful. Only issue we had was the lack of taxi's - so learned that it was best to reserve one in advance which worked perfectly!

Gran Melia is anewbuilding in an area of Bund still under development. The hotel is very good, personnel at front desk is really professional and devoted to customer satisfaction. Room (i had a superior room towards the Bund) are absolutely ok. If I have to find something not perfect I've to address to hotel postion...in orderto find a taxi at any time […] is almost impossible....but subway is very close and this can solve a lot of problems อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Gran Melia is a new hotel and it shows. It is extremely clean, and modern and nice looking. The room was extremely well equipped. There are switches next to every bed for controlling the drapes and most of the lights in the room. In the room you'll find everything you might need during your stay: slippers, bathroom scale, comb, toothbrush and paste, […] champagne glasses and ice bucket, umbrella, shoe polish and brush, to mention only few of those that one can normally miss during a stay at a hotel. Of course, the edible items you can find in the refrigerator are a lot more expensive than you can imagine. The hotel employees are very friendly and try to help you as much as they can. There is a little bit of a language barrier since their accent is very strong but this is to be expected anywhere in China, I suppose.
