It was fair to midland. The service was great, but the maintenance of the room was a little disappointing. I stayed here for one night to attend a conference at a nearby location. I really enjoyed my overnight stay. The hotel is really cute. At first the reviews were mixed but since this hotel is in a nice area( harbor) I thought I give it a chance! The room was quite small and the bed was not comfortable. After attempting to close a window blind in the room it appeared that it was broken and the maintenance person had to come and closed it but took some time fixing it. The room was still hot, after calling the front desk it seemed she was bothered that I called, had poor customer service skills. Since I was unable to sleep due to the hot room and a loud thumping noise coming from the AC unit, I called again to the front desk hoping to get some help she sends a hotel staff , not a engineer, and according to the hotel staff person he realized that seething was wrong with it. The front desk finally switched me out to another room. This was supposed to be a celebration for my wife's bday celebration weekend but ended up being a bad experience at the hotel. Front desk staff were clueless. Took way to long to check in and I was the only person there. Staff to busy answering the phone to attend to my check-in. Very basic clean hotel with a good vibe. My kids loved the modern decor. This is not the hotel if you are planning an extended stay, great for a weekend.

Creative design and comfortable rooms make aloft an great place to get away from it all for a night. The rooms are not large so if you plan a longer stay you might consider somewhere else, but for a night or two visit to the waterfront it's perfect. Centrally located at the National Harbor near great food and fun shopping I highly recommend it.

This is a boutique hotel. So my stay was great. Just be mindful that since this is a boutique hotel, there is no room service, rooms are kind of small, and mattress was not like a Starwood hotel such as the W or a Westin bed. For an overnight stay, it was just okay, but I probably won't stay here again since there are plenty of other choices. I did like the ultra modern decor of the hotel, but the location isn't ideal - not close to the metro or sights, but there is a bus that runs past National Harbor. The area where the hotel is located is mostly local chain restaurants […] and family-friendly activities with nice views of the river. I would have rated this hotel higher except I found the room amenities uncomfortable, which is surprising for a W hotel. The mattress was pretty hard, the sheets over starched, and there were only 2 small pillows on a King bed with 2 leg/neck roll pillows (these were surprisingly comfortable). Our room had a connecting door and unfortunately the door or the wall wasn't as sound proof as other hotels we've experienced. We heard our neighbors tv and their conversation -- we could tell the game was on and our neighbors were discussing the game and/or cheering for the team. To their credit, they weren't being rudely loud, but you could still hear the sound while standing on the opposite side of the room. I loved this hotel. It had everything you needed for a business trip. Dehydrated? Two bottles of water in your room (free) every night. Fitness Center? We had a room reserved with 2 queen beds which were not available. The hotel upgraded us to a suite with a King bed and pull-out which was quite amazing. great location and walking distance to everything, beautiful interior and views, friendly staff, and spacious accommodation. they have a candy bar and pool table on the lobby floor!!

I loved Aloft! I stayed for the weekend for a wedding and I must say...the bride couldn't have chosen a better place. The whole place is modern chic, the lobby is spacious and set up for socializing, and the location is in the middle of a beautiful harborside area.
