We had stayed here before and loved it then. Was not let down in the least bit this time either. This is a beautiful hotel and the staff is great. Highly recommend it!

Great for the Price, location is outstanding,, much to do inside the hotel!

still great hotel but my room was not vacuumed. another little thing but I didn't bring slippers assuming that of course Ritz would have them. they do not. otherwise great neighborhood and property.

Great hotel, wonderful staff - not my best stay...black mold growing in shower and old soap left in shower - was taken care of when I called front desk manager. This is a beautiful and convenient place to stay for parent visits to Washington University. The front desk service is outstanding. While the restaurant was a little overwhelmed for breakfast, everything else was very good and the staff really tries to please.

the only glitch that we had was that housekeeping knocked on our door twice while do not disturb sign was on. also, we miss the Bulgari soap!

We were looking for a nice place close to Wash U. The location is good. The hotel has all the trimmings- right up to chandeliers in the elevators. The rooms are not inexpensive, but if you drive there, pay another $20 per day to park, and $10 per day if you want an Internet connection. Add to that someone else's hair clip, with hair, on the floor, stained […] furniture, and only one towel, robe and slippers for a double occupancy room. The mattresses and linens were clean and comfortable. There is a nice hotel quality health club, but four treadmills don't go far in a 500 room hotel. If this was an $89 Best Western, I would have been thrilled, but I was expecting a 4 1/2 star experience. I don't know where they get all of those stars. Our experience was truly wonderful. The room was beautiful and it had french doors opening up onto a balcony. I wish we would have had a better view but we weren't out there much anyways. The bathroom was phenomenal except for 2 things. There were a couple of red stains on the walls and there was a chip in our drain the sink. I lived in St. Louis for many many years but had never stayed at the Ritz Carlton. We decided to stay there this trip to St. Louis mostly because of its reputation and because of the great location. It is very close to Forest Park, Washington University, the St. Louis Zoo, the fabulous Central West End, the St. Louis Galleria shooping mall and close […] to great highways - plus only 15 minutes away from downtown St. Louis etc.etc. We had a beautiful very quiet and relaxing room. Just as you would expect from a Ritz at a better price than usual.

We really enjoyed the Ritz. It location was close to downtown and excellent access to Forest Park. We loved the neighborhood and the cafes and restraunts in the area. It also had excellent access to the interestate. The hotel was clean and comfortable with excellent service,

I am sure every post on here for the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis says it is fantastic. It is. I do wish the pool was outside and maybe a little bigger, but why travel if your just going to stay at the hotel. The people were great, the food was great, the room was great. It really made the trip, well , great!

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful hotel. Very clean. Parking is $20/day for either self or valet.

Gorgeous lobby. The club level rooms include access to the club lounge that includes breakfast, food at lunchtime, cocktail hour, dinner (crackers, cheese, salads), dessert hour - all presented beautifully. The rooms were plush and elegant. Parking - self or valet - is $20/day but you can park at the metered parking on the side of the building overnight […] for free. The staff was wonderful. We had a problem with the battery on our room door being dead so our key wouldn't work. They sent someone up immediately to fix it. The crib provided for a baby in our group was gorgeous and came with baby bath, powder and shampoo. We have travelled extensively for almost two decades. This Ritz-Carlton was flawless in every way. This trip, we took our 2 and 3 year old, and it was an excellent experience. I'll gear this review toward "families"; but I'll comment first that this hotel is elegant, and if your children are not well-behaved or of the age that basic protocol,is hard […] to adhere to, I'd probably skip the Ritz. Otherwise, read on. Our children were offered a wagon for their choice of treats upon arrivel. Check-in took about 30 seconds, and we were known by name. In our room was a handwritten note, addressed to our children welcoming them to the Ritz. There was a plate of fat, delicious chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies. Those were a Godsend after a long trip in the car. The doormen clapped for our children, and over the course of the stay, the harder they "performed", the more the doormen clapped. It was a daily treat for the kids, and parents also. The rooms were perfectly appointed, with high-count sheets and big pillows; excellent quality bathroom "condiments", good lighting, and a strong shower head and good water pressure. The room was very large, and the rollaway and crib were of the highest quality. Both were top of the line wood; and the rollaway especially was of the higest standard - full wood structure, good solid mattress, and high-quality linens. The fridge was large, to put juice and milk in for the little ones. The television was flat screen and large. My only complaint was we were unable to save the kid movies we bought. The room service was prompt; and the food was well above average. We ordered room service breakfast every morning, and it was always on time within exactly two minutes of expected delivery. Amazing, really. The concierge was excellent, with one exception. The manager gave us directions to the Magic House on Monday, but neglected to tell us it was closed on Mondays. It was fine. Not the best Ritz-Carlton I've stayed in but still nice. Their main dinning room was closed on Sun. night, so that was a disappointment.

Of course....it's in St. Louis but if you have to be in St. Louis, this is a great bargain concerning that this hotel is a full fledged Ritz Carlton with all of the luxurious service that Ritz is famous for and at a price that's less than an average hotel in much larger cities.

Fine service, fine comfort in a fine hotel. Room balconies are a plus.

This hotel was beautiful and the service was excellent except for one thing. We had breakfast in the hotel which for 3 people cost $70. There the service was mediocre. Food was not refilled at the buffet in a timely way or with graciousness. We asked for milk for our coffee and it never came. Otherwise we highly recommend the property.

Our visit to the Saint Louis Ritz-Carlton was my second favourite hotel stay ever. The staff are genuinely friendly, impeccably well-mannered, and quick to tend to your every need. This Hotel was great, staff was very responsive and helpful. The suite was wonderful, Having a Bath and half worked great. Front Desk staff were super helpful printing out maps and going the extra mile. Very relaxing bed fantastic, Bath was unbelievable.

The hotel was beautiful and the view was out of this world. I was a little disappointed because there wasn't alot of eatting places around. The metro was very close, so if you wanted to stay and then jump on the metro to catch a ball game it would be great. There is a mall not far, so for all you shopping people it is up your alley. I stayed at the St Louis Ritz-Carleton for two nights on business. The room was quite large, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom large and clean. The furnishings were in very good condition - I would guess they were updated in the last 3 to 5 years. Very solid and quiet rooms - I never heard another door open or close, anyone in the hallways, or even […] any noise from outside (although I was on the 14th floor). Excellent place for peace and quiet, and very attentive service, as well. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton-St. Louis by taking advantage of the Reward Points we had earned through 10+ hotels.com hotel-stays. Normally, the price for a club room at the Ritz Carlton would be beyond our budget, however, under the aforementioned conditions, we chose to stay there and celebrate our anniversary. The location […] is excellent; very safe, within an easy walk of a very nice downtown Clayton, and within an easy walk of the metrolink (if you would choose to ride that from the airport). The facilities were beautiful. The room was pretty and comfortable with a great balcony-view of downtown St. Louis.
