Could not of asked for a nicer room. Bedding was very comfy. Requested room on top floor and that is just what we got.We were able to relax a while go to the casino and return with not to far of a drive. Would stay there again.

I did not realize that there is no daily cleaning service at a Candlewood. They have a cleaning person once a week. You can pick up new towels at the front desk, although every time we went they never had enough and we had to come back later. They advertise in the room that they offer other types of pillows, but when we went to the front desk for a […] firmer pillow, they had none to offer. The night clerk was great - friendly and eager to help, but limited by what was available. The one great plus is that there was a near-full, if small, kitchen with a full refrigerator, 2-burner stove (with pots & pans supplied), microwave and dishwasher. WOW! What a great hotel. Very clean. I especially enjoyed the "full kitchen" with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer. It was nice to keep my beverages cold without having to build my own ice bath in the bathroom sink. I was also able to keep my reuseable ice packs frozen overnight instead of asking the front desk if I could store them in their freezer. […] Although I didn't use them, there were complete sets of dishes, silverware, and pots and pans (for the included stove/oven) AND a dishwasher to clean these items. The Candlewood Suites in Aurora provided excellent service and amenities for the price. We were attending a wedding in Batavia and stayed 2 nights. The snack shop, based on an honor system, was very convenient. The hotel staff was very friendly and willing to go the extra mile for any requests. The location was great for us, although Google sent us in the wrong direction at the Sullivan and Orchard intersection (you need to go west). The surrounding area was very nice and peaceful. The hotel sits among some small corn fields, but is very close to the shops and restaurants. Our room was very clean, although it smelled a little like smoke or musty when we first arrived, but after running the air and opening the window it was fine the rest of the stay. The entire facility is nonsmoking. Other than the occasional door closing our room was very quiet and the bed very comfortable. You do need to request linens if you want them changed, but that wasn't a big deal to us. They also had a nice little exercise facility. I loved my room & slept peacefully. Only stayed one night, but it was very quiet & relaxing. Away from the main street just enough to not hear any traffic, but in an undeveloped area so no sights to see.

My stay was good overall except I kept having issues with my access card to the room. I had to change the cards three times. I was instructed to keep the card in the sleeve ((which I did) and I still got locked out.

There was a glitch at first . I arrived at 11 am and needed to change immediately into another outfit for a wedding that I had to leave for right away. The receptionist was adamant that check-in was not until 3 pm since check-out for the departing guests wasn't until 11 am. As a very experienced business traveler, I had never been told that before. […] I began to call immediately around the area for an alternative hotel that could take me right then. It may have been that, or a second thought on the part of the receptionist, but he suddenly said there was a room available. When I got into the the room, it clearly it had just been cleaned (wet floors, etc) and was spotless. After returning after the wedding, I checked it more closely and was impressed with the hygiene. After that initial snafu, all else was pretty good. There is no free breakfast, just coffee and they have a pantry with basics that can be purchased. We wanted to shop at the Aurora Outlet Mall and stayed at Candlewood Suites for a night - very courteous staff, cozy room with nice amenities, free parking and wifi, nearby restaurants and GREAT price makes this hotel the most logical choice among the others. I also stayed at their Memphis Property and would rate it similarly.

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Only complaint I have is the noise. Housekeeping are very chatty in the hallway in the mornings. Also, there was a lot of commotion in the parking lot early in the morning. I suggest booking a room that does not face the parking lot. But, overall I had a good experience.

I have no major complaints about my stay, except for the fact that my handicap accessible room was very far down the hallway from the elevator, which was almost too far of a walk for me.

Hotel is a little hard to find, but it is very new and clean. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay there again.

This hotel was in a great location compared to where I was needing to be in the morning. Since it was $10 less than the holiday inn next door and had a kitchenette I selected this room only to find bugs in the shower and a tub that didn't look like it had been cleaned in awhile. Not worth it to me.

I didn ' t reserve a handicapped room but was given one. I requested a room change and was given ANOTHER handicapped room, after a second request, we were given an appropriate, non-handicapped room. The room was clean when we checked in, didn't know that they didn't do daily room service and you have to take your dirty towels to the front desk and exchange […] them - pretty gross. I have to admit, I was a bit concerned with booking a room at the Candlewood Suites; I'd never heard of it and it was noticeably less expensive than other nearby hotels. Surprisingly, this was actually quite literally the best hotel I've ever had, regardless of the price. I checked in at 11:30 PM and was greeted by a very nice woman at the front desk […] who got me checked in very quickly. Upon entering the room, I was surprised to see "wood" (laminate) flooring; it looked nice and was very clean. The fridge, stove top, microwave, and included dishware/utensils were all very clean. The carpeting in the remainder of the room was soft and clean. The single bed was one of the nicest I've ever slept on, be it at a hotel or elsewhere. The room has medium-firmness pillows, but you can ask the front desk for feather pillows or firmer pillows, free of charge. Speaking of the front desk, they also offer free DVD/CD rentals, which is handy considering the room came with a 32" flat screen and a DVD player. There was a comfy leather chair in the room in addition to an office chair setup with a nice wooden desk facing the TV. This is an excellent and comfortable place to get some work done, as even the air conditioning (which adjusts to whether anyone is in the room or not) worked flawlessly. Even the bathroom was very clean. Hot water was plentiful and the towels were softer than the traditional hotel towel. It is also worth noting that in the downstairs lobby there is a small shop that works on the honor system, expecting guests to pay for what they take by dropping money into a small box. It is nice to be treated with such respect by a hotel, but also, the rates on these foods are actually very reasonable. They have some "combo deals" that, for example, allow you to buy a frozen breakfast sandwich, a bottle of juice, and a piece of fresh fruit for only a couple dollars.. not the cheapest deal in the world, but considerably better than most hotels. With the exception of the power outage and no offer of refund for inconvenience, the stay was excellent. First hotel room I've been in with a flat screen tv, dvd player, and hardwood floors. I'll definitely stay there again.

The hotel had no power in morning , no backup alternative.I could not even use the free coffee they had because they had no power.Had to use flashlight to take bath !!!!!!!!! Pathetic!!!

Stayed in the hotel for one evening to see son's drum and bugle corps performance in Oswego, IL. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable! We took advantage of the kitchenette to prepare dinner--grilled steaks on 1 of 2 large gas grills provided. I enjoy hotel rooms with a kitchenette, dishes, silverware, etc. This room had a very nice, updated one. The room smelled of onions or curry upon entering, but after awhile I couldn't smell it anymore. The bed was comfortable, but in an odd location. It was pressed up against a wall, but then the other side had ample room. It looked like it needed to […] be centered, as there was a lot of wasted space in the room. In order get in bed, I had to get on the foot of the bed and crawl to the pillow area because my wife had the side with lots of space. The only other issue was with our room keycards. They didn't work once they were used the 1st time to get into the room. I had a very late work engagement and returned around 3:00am. I couldn't get into my room and I had to stand at the front desk until someone realized I was there. Apparently earlier in the evening, my wife came back after getting dinner and it didn't work for her either. Hotel staff didn't seem apologetic, just said that "it happens sometimes." Well, it happened for both of us twice in one night. Hotel is pretty far off main road, which I generally like for safety reasons. There were plenty of restaurants and places to shop nearby. Only problem with it being far from a main road was that the little road that goes to the hotel was covered in snow and ice after a blizzard.
