Faros 2 Hotel - Piraeus

We booked the hotel for proximity to the cruise terminal as there were rolling strikes at the time so from this hotel it is possible to walk to the terminal. It suited that requirement perfectly. Everything was OK except that the room was minute. We were only in it two nights so no problem anyway. Perfect location for ferries to the islands also.

Very central hotel if going for a ferry. Cross the road at Gate E10 (RBS on the corner) Faros 2 is 3rd street on the right and the hotel is about 50 yards on the left of the road. Clean rooms with comfortable beds and a good hot powerful shower. Quite a variety of rooms some a bit small and others huge with jacuzzi bath, excellent air conditioning and […] lots of mirrors! The boys on the front desk were all very friendly and helpful and let us leave our luggage on the last day as we were not flying until the evening. It is worth taking a walk to the marina for good restaurants. Turn left out of the hotel and take first on the left again up over the hill across the busy road and down the other side. We had an excellent one night stay here on our way between Athens airport and catching a ferry. The room was fairly basic but had everything we needed - bed, shower, linen - and very clean. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and could answer all of our questions. We had an interesting stay here, although I would still recommend it! We had an early morning cruise so chose this hotel for the purpose of being close to Piraeus Port - it was about a 10-15mins walk. The hotel was very clean, with clean linen and towels. The hotel is a 5mins walk to shops and restaurants. The aspects of the hotel we found strange was that our room (101) has a specific theme to it which we found really bizarre. When first opening the door you are faced with a wall of rocks.Yes..a wall of real rocks..the bed is circular with a mirror on the roof above it, tiger print cushions etc and plants around the room giving it a slight creepy sex hotel feel. Apparently there are only 2 rooms like this (lucky us) and the rest are your normal double bed etc. room. We also had a 2 person jacuzzi in the middle of the room (amidst the rocks!) and both windows opened to nothing allowing no natural light at all. We had a leak in the bathroom after showering, but the staff were keen to look into it when I told them about it. We were only there for one night and it was fine. This hotel is very conveniently located for the ferries, and you'll get to downtown Athens handily, too, with the metro or bus. There are several nice restaurants just a few minutes away. We stayed here because we had to catch a ferry at 7:30 the next morning. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. He spoke great English, told us were to go eat and helped us find our ferry in the morning. The room was all we needed for a one night stay just to sleep and was quite comfortable and clean.

The hotel manager made us feel at home. We were offered a coffee while waiting and he explained how to get to the closest bus station. Very pleasant stay. Room a little small but clean and convenient! Thank you so much!

Perfect for a quick overnight stay in Athens if you are heading for the Islands the next day. Close to the port and easy to get to from the airport.

Not so easy to find if you get off the airport bus and the street numbering is chaotic but the effort is worth it. Friendly, very clean and quiet and comfortable. Much better value than anything in Athens and great for the islands. Would stay again.

Room nr101 made me smile for a week:) we missed the ferry to santorini, and had too stay for a extra night in pireaus, and we got the room for 50€, and it's worth every penny.

I stayed here for two nights on 6th Sept 2009.Very basic but clean hotel with helpful staff!Just two streets (two min walk) from Ferry Gate No 10.Gate 7 which i needed was a 10/15 min walk. We arrived late and the manager couldn't have been more helpful. He sent us to a little Thai restaurant around the corner that fed us well at midnight. Our room was extremely large and well appointed (even if it did have mirrors on the ceiling!). Very convenient for the ferries. Would go back if needing a Piraeus stop.

The hotel was in quite a run down area and thankfully the taxi driver had sat nav! The frontage of the hotel looked very nice and the reception area had obviously been given a facelift. The rooms themselves were very basic although they served the purpose for one night before moving onto another island. was a nice hotel. found athens in general to be a pretty grimy and scary place. the area the port and hotel are in are fairly scary, but no where near as bad as omonia!! (dont go near omonia!). there were families staying there and the hotel felt very safe. great location if you have an early or late ferry arrival or departure! also close to metro.

We arrived at the bus station at 2:15am after flying in to Athens. The location map of the hotel would be better showing bus station, but hotel was still fairly easy to find. The room was comfortable, but didn't need the ceiling mirror! No breakfast in hotel, but various place nearby. Overall good value.

Arrivé à l'hotel Faros 2 , ils m'ont dit avoir un problème avec ma réservation et m'ont envoyé à l'hotel Faros 1 ! Ce n'était pas très loin et tout c'est bien passé quand même !

We booked this hotel for one night on our way to Santorini. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast included so can't comment on that. The room was very basic and pretty worn but clean. For us it was exactly what we expected - reasonable cost accommodation close to the harbor for one night. Wouldn't probably stay […] there otherwise. It was about 15 minutes walk to the harbor. Si lo que se necesita es estar cerca del puerto para ir a alguna isla al día siguiente, es una elección estupenda porque está muy próximo al puerto del Pireo. Bonjour, La plupart des personnes dormant dans cet hôtel prennent le ferry de 7h55 en partance pour les cyclades. Ils partent donc vers 7h15 et le ventre vide puisque le petit déjeuner n'est servi qu'à partir de 7h30... A mon avis la salle du petit déjeuner doit être bien vide ! Hotelli on keskellä ei mitään mutta kaikki on kävelymatkan päässä. Huoneet suht koht siistit mutta se on totta että pireukseen ei kannata jäädä oleskelemaan. Kysykää suoraan hotellista apua esim. lauttalippuihin ja jne. Omistaja todella avulias.

Eftersom vi skulle ut på öarna dagen efter var detta ett utmärkt boende. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Dock inte helt lätt att hitta dit.

Close to Pireos. Easy to reach the port and take the ferry to all greece islands. By taxi max 10 min. to the port. Price 8 euro. Better taxi than walk specially if you have baggage, children or in a hurry. From airport to hotel Faros 2 approx. 1 our depends on traffic. Udemærket hotel med god beliggenhed da vi skulle afsted kl. 7.00 morgen fra Pireaus. Modsat færgehavnen ligger en hyggelig marina med adskillige restauranter og et større udendørs fitness område. helt fint til en aften udflugt

Bra läge nära gate 9. Vi sov bara en natt för att få det lättare att ta morgonbåten till kykladerna, någon längre vistelse är inte att rekommendera. Litet, lyhört rum, men billigt o praktiskt.

very helpfull people did everything to help us small room but clean can absolutly recomend it

Hotel neuf - tres propre bien situé (Pirée - Musée). Bon accueil

Hotel difficile à trouver la première fois mais très proche du port et certainement pratique pous ceux qui viennent du bateau. Propre, simple (ne mérite néanmoins pas les 3 étoiles que vous lui attribuez, eux-mêmes ne s'en donnent que 2 dans l'affichage des chambres) les lits sont corrects, mais très durs. Il n'y a pas de sèche cheveux dans les chambres […] ce qui n'est pas acceptable vu le prix. Bonjour, Le point positif est essentiellement que l'hôtel est proche du port- cela est non négligeable à sept heure du matin La réception était agréable Pour ce qui est de la chambre, le matelas était de très mauvaise qualité et l'insonorisation.... quelle insonorisation ? L'hôtel en soi n'est pas désagréable. Nous avons été bien accueillis et notre chambre était propre. Par contre, elle était vraiment très petite et il ne fallait pas ouvrir le store, sous peine d'avoir une vue directe sur un mur en chantier! Le quartier était assez glauque. Nous n'avons, par exemple, pas osé nous rendre à pied à 5h du matin à l'arrêt […] de bus pour l'aéroport (15 min de marche)... Mais le gardien de nuit nous a appelé sans problème un taxi qui est arrivé dans les 5 min. Bref, cet hotel dépanne quand on doit impérativement être au Pirée. Nous y sommes allés pour notre arrivée à athènes puis à notre départ. Le quartier n'est pas des plus sécurisant (immeubles délabrés, chients errants,etc)mais les gens qui nous ont amenés vers l'hotel sont des plus serviable. L'hotel est très propre et class. La chambre pour la première nuit était quelque peu petite, ceci étant pour une nuit, c'est ok. […] Habillage en ronce de noyer, c'est bien fait. Pour notre seconde nuit (au retour) nous avons du bénéficier d'un sur classement car nous étions dans une suite. Donc, rien à redire... jacousi.... 3 lits! télé, réfrigérateur... bref, le bonheur! Le déjeuner y est très copieux! ne pas hésiter et pas très cher 6€/p. le réceptionniste était très serviable. Bref hotel à recommander sans problème! it's a good hotel near the port.very confortable for who is there to catch a ship. the naerbourhood isn't so good

L'accueil fut sympathique ert le veilleur de nuit(arrivée tardive) s'est montré courtois et amical. L'hotel dispose en outre d'un balcon(idéal pour fumer) malgré la chambre donnant sur la rue.Cependant l'emplacement de l'hotel est situé dans une petite ruelle ou il n'y a pas beaucoup de circulation

Dette er et perfekt hotel for de som skal reise tidlig om morgenen med båt fra Piraeus. I tillegg er hotellet godt oppusset og rimelig.

Accueil charmant (malgré notre arrivée nocturne), hôtel propre, confortable, presque "standing". Nous nous sommes rendus à pied le lendemain matin (à 7h00) de l'hôtel au port (trajet de 10 minutes) grâce aux informations que la charmante personne de la réception nous a données.

Vi blev mycket positivt överraskade. Vi hade bokat ett 3-bäddsrum som visade sig vara ett mycket rymligt 4-bäddsrum till ett mycket rimligt pris. Frukosten, som kostade 6 € var mycket frikostig. Det enda negativa var att det var 20 € skillnad på bokningen via Hotels.com jämfört med den bokning som vi gjorde på plats i samband med returresan. Hotel a 5mn en taxi du piree. Impossible de marcher a moins d'avoir le temps.30 min a pied mais en taxi 5mn et 10 Euros. Tres pratique et tres propre.
