"No Phone System working during the entire stay!!!"
This hotel was close enough to the event I was attending that it looked like a great option for the price. However, buyer beware. The special rate we received was for a good reason that was undisclosed to us even after checkin. The entire hotel's phone and internet was down. So not only could you not call from your room but you can't call the hotel […] AT ALL. it says disconnected. and the WiFi / internet was not working at all which was a major problem. I was very upset trying to reach the front desk to find out information about check out since the conference was going to be running later than 11am. but we had to leave the event early rush to the hotel and upon telling the front desk the situation they just kind of nodded and said "Yeah we know, time warner is supposed to fix it". Room was smaller than I was lead to believe. The wifi was on and off for my laptop and didn't work at all on my girlfriend's. The issue took a chunk of our day. The quality of the hotel was great and the staff very attentive. I've stayed in other nearby brands and know you can trust Fairfield. Parking at this location is limited. For a handicap person, although there are designated spaces, they are either taken by persons without a permit or crowded in so close that realistically they are not functional. The hotel is ok, great location only 4 tramway stops to manhattan, free parking good breakfast , very very nice attendants. The bus drive to the tramway is very smart.. I love the window that allowed fresh air into the room however the noise from the street woke us up on at least 6 occasions, then the elevator broke down and our door had been jimmied […] in the past so one can slip a credit card on the the door frame close to the latch and easily enter the room.. I didn't spend much time at the hotel as I was in the city most of the time, but let me tell you, the free shuttle to the subway station that this hotel offers was very helpful. They will even pick you up if you give them a call. There is also a bus stop just a few blocks away that is very easy to walk to. The free breakfast was also very good. "Great hotel, bargain rates"
Staff and rooms were great. Only complaint was that the shuttle back to the hotel took a good 45 minutes to come pick us up, but only one time. Perfect place to say for a good price. "Almost perfect"
Everything in the hotel was awesome! The staff is nice and the coffee is available 24 hours a day which i really liked! I dont recommend relying on the shuttle to take you to the train station or pick you up though. I waited for an hour and a half at the train station after i called to be picked up. It was very cold outside and my phone was dead so […] i couldn't call again. I ended up having to pay for a cab. I felt like the staff was preoccupied every time i needed something. Staff was very friendly and smiling! The hotel is located in an eerie neighborhood. It's surrended by warehouses and workshops. Not the fanciest in NY! But... it suited me well: I was on a business trip, had a car to park and loads of equipment to store for several days. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the subway station (it would take 15 minutes if you decided to walk). This was a great stay for us in Brooklyn. The hotel was lovely and the staff very attentive and very friendly. Continental breakfast was way above average. We LOVED this hotel. We even stayed an additional night, cause we couldn't bring ourselves to leave haha! The staff was great, very helpful, room was always clean and in excellent condition. They have a free shuttle so getting on and off the Purple 7 CIRCLE subway back to the hotel is super easy. The breakfast was amazing every morning-I liked the sausage, […] eggs, and blueberry muffins. My boyfriend couldn't get enough of their waffles =) We are definitely staying here next time we visit New York City!!!!
