I liked this hotel. I can't complain about much really, except that the wifi didn't work on our devices. We had two smartphones and a netbook and the wifi wouldn't work on either and the staff couldn't seem to fix the problem. That was a disappointment because the free wifi was a large factor when choosing this hotel. They have a guest computer however […] so we were able to use it. Breakfast was a standard continental style breakfast. The staff was nice and helpful. The location was good, very near the spanish steps and the metro/bus stops. Great location, just round the corner from the Spanish Steps and all the big designer shops like Dior. The walk to tthe Vatican was just a short walk to the left of the hotel. We had the basic small room but the shower was a decent size and was always hot even at 8.30 am. The bed was a really good size, i think it was 2 beds pushed together. There was […] ample cupboard space for two people. Breakfast was a typical small continental breakfast consisting of rolls, salami. Croissants, butter, jams, cereal, milk, several different pastries, this melba toast stufff in packets but NO REAL TOAST, and fresh fruit and yoghurt, and orange juice, and a machine that served hot chocolate, tea coffe, expresso, etc. I didnt go in the lift, as it was extremely old, and as we were only on the second floor, we just walked up. There was some noise from the hotel but not too bad. But the room next to us, the walls were very thin and we could hear everything. Luckily the person was on their own. We got a return bus trip from Ciampino airport to the Termini station for £8 each on the plane on the way out there, then we got the Metro from termini to Spagna which is right by the Spanish steps, and from there you go down the little road straight down from the steps to Via Del Corso and turn right, then walk up the road and Via Laurina is on the right. Expedia sells the room as superior, but the room is smaller than standard, very small. The bathroom is so narrow that the door needs to be open to be able to use the sink. In the shower us impossible to bend too. Next to the bed 2 feet left from the wall to pass to the other size, which makes it very challenging to bring your suitcase. Everything was comfortable and convenient. Especially noteworthy was the performance of Jean-Pierre, the Night Manager. He was always pleasant and went out of his way repeatedly to make my stay enjoyable.

We only stayed one night but our visit was very pleasant. This hotel is right in the middle of everything - yet off a side street which was quiet - you can walk to just about everything - shops, restaurants, historical sites, etc. The staff was courteous and pleasant and very accomodating. We had a terrace room which was a bonus.

I stayed at Hotel Centrale Sept. 5-7, 2012 and couldn't be more pleased with this small, charming, immaculately clean, centrally located hotel. Based on some reviews I'd read, I thought it was really close to Spanish Steps, but it's not, and it's a good thing. I stayed in a double room - single occupancy and found the room quite adequate in size. The room was impeccably clean and recently refurbished. The floor is wood (or laminate) and tile in the bathroom. The lobby and hallways are all marble. My room was painted a very pleasing peach color and contained 2 roomy wardrobes and a very convenient shelf on top of the headboard, as well as a refrigerator. The bathroom was in an excellent condition, with everything in a fine working order, and it contained a little bag with every toiletry a traveler would need. I was really impressed with the care taken to make my stay comfortable. The air conditioning in the room worked great - in fact I had to turn it down - the wi-fi worked just as well, and there is also a computer in the sitting room available to guests at no charge. The hotel was excellently placed for Spanish steps with shopping and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was basic but fine. The staff were really friendly and booked our limo service without problem back to the airport which I would recommend. The price of the room was in line with what was provided.

The staff was extremely helpful -- especially Giovanni. In fact, he arranged for a taxi to come to the airport upon arrival. We had a superior room as we knew that the other rooms are quite small. The room was at the top of the hotel and could not be reached by the elevator. It was very hot during our stay and the air conditioning in the room is only just adequate. The hotel is good value for the excellent location, you can walk to most of the amjor sights in Rome.

Hotel Central is a clean hotel staffed by friendly helpful people, breakfasts were self service in a pleasant light room. My only complaint is the room was well equipped but very small & I would have liked the rooms main lights to stay on & not be on a timer but can understand the ecological/cost reasons for the automatic switch off.

This hotel is in a great location and on a quiet street. Rooms are small, but fine. Only comment is that the rooms were warm in Nov. and only way to cool down appreared to be to open the window...which we did and it was fine. Breakfast included was a nice feature.

Staff was great and helpful whenever you needed it. Although the rooms are small, which is very typical in Europe, it was clean and fairly comfortable. Wi-Fi worked great all the time. Breakfast was a typical toast and coffee breakfast. My second stay at this hotel and I love that in it's a great location and close to many things.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Centrale. It was centrally located, as soon as I arrived they let me check my bags and gave me a map with some suggestions of where to walk to. There were a few reviews criticising the size of the rooms so we were unsure of what to expect. We were pleasantly suprised by the size of the room and couldn't fault the cleanliness which was an important factor. The main highlight though was the fantastic location. The location of the hotel is great! Right in the middle of the shopping district with tons of eating options as well. We were able to walk to everything. The rooms were nice and clean. We'd stay there again for sure.

Havde et rigtigt godt ophold på Hotel Centrale. God service og rent værelse, dog var værelset en smule småt, men til at leve med. Beliggenheden kunne ikke være bedre. Kan klart anbefales :)

Location was great near good shops, Metro and the Piazza del Popolo. It was a comfortable hotel with old fashioned atmosphere -gave me a sense of "being there," which I enjoyed. We had a good price from Hotels.com which was reasonable.

Hotellets läge var jättebra och det var rent och fint. Rummet vi bodde i var dock väldigt lyhört och man hörde allt som hände runtomkring vilket gjorde det svårt att sova.Toaletten på vårt rum (och i andra rum också enligt vad jag såg på brand-ritningen) var jättefin men väldigt liten. Jag kunde inte sitta vanligt på toaletten för att väggen var ivägen […] så jag fick sitta på snedden.När vi var där fungerade dessutom inte WI-FIt vilket var ett stort minus. La razón por la que recomendaría este hotel es solamente por la ubicación, nosotros lo separamos con una promoción, y el precio estuvo muy bien en relación con la ubicación. El cuarto es demasiado pequeño apenas cupimos con las maletas, el baño era una tortura, porque era demasiado pequeño. El elevador también era muy pequeño y el cuarto tenía demasiado […] polvo. El staff no ayuda en nada, son cero amables y no pudieron darme referencias para llegar a ningún lado. Das Hotel war ganz ok. Das Zimmer (Superior) groß und relativ sauber, die Matratzen jedoch durchgelegen. Das Treppenhaus wird offensichtlich überhaupt nicht geputzt, dort lag tagelang Zigarettenasche (obwohl ja eigentlich nichtraucher...) Die Mitarbeiter wirken lustlos. Mellemstort værelse, helt perfekt indrettet med et kæmpe badeværelse. Gratis at komme på hotellets eget trådløse internet. Ligger midt i shoppingområdet - ekstremt centralt, hvis man ikke har noget imod at se på lækre forretninger. Indtil videre det bedste hotel jeg har prøvet i Rom (3. besøg).

Positief is dat het hotel goed bereikbaar is met de metro en een goede centrale ligging heeft. Negatief is de slecht functionerende airconditioning en de zeer kleine badkamer. Douche is de kleinste die ik ooit heb meegemaakt. Toiletruimte is eveneens zeer krap.. Ontbijt is ronduit slecht. Personeel niet geinteresseerd.

Très bel hôtel en plein coeur de Rome, le personnel est souriant, serviable et disponible, la chambre était très bien entretenue, le petit déjeuner excellent et copieux. Vraiment un excellent hôtel !

Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel in einem wunderschön restaurierten altem Haus. Fußläufig sind alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren (sehr!) klein, aber nett eingerichtet und sauber. Das Bett war recht bequem. Das Frühstück war für italiensche Verhältnisse gut - es gab u.a. auch frisches Obst (Bananen, Birnen, […] Äpfel, Pfirsiche). Die Rezeption war sehr bemüht, uns bei allen Fragen weiterzuhelfen. Perfekt beliggenhed til nogle fantastiske dage i Rom. Morgenmaden er noget triviel, men ok.

Hotellet ligger sentralt til, men som de fleste andre hoteller i Roma sentrum er rommene små og utsikten begrenset. Badet var alt for trangt: Ikke noen hyller å legge fra seg ting på, og det var så smalt at en måtte sitte på skrå på toalettet. "Utsikten" var mot bakgården med direkte innsyn til andre rom på hotellet. Fordelen med bakgårdsrom er at det […] er lite støy og ingen problemer med sol direkte inn av vinduet. Gardinene måtte være trukket for for å unngå innsyn. Renholdet var utmerket, sengen god å ligge i, betjeningen veldig hyggelige og frokosten helt OK. Jeg kan varmt anbefale dette lille hotel, som er meget centralt beliggende og til rimelig pris. Meget venligt og imødekommende hotelpersonale. Jeg vil bestemt benytte dette hotel til et senere ophold i Rom.

Hyggelig lite hotell. Hyggelig betjening, veldig imøtekommende. Rent og pent rom. Veldig fin beliggenhet til de fleste severdigheter. Frokosten var veldig dårlig.

En flott beliggenhet i gangavstand til de fleste severdigheter. Hyggelig betjening som strakk seg langt for å gjøre sine gjester tilfredse. Ok frokost, med nybrygget kaffe. God airkondition og lydtette vindu på rommet. Ett rimelig hotell som anbefales.

tres pratique en plein centre , peronnel agreable . mais pas de chambre à l arrivee , nous avons eu deux chambres pour une peronnes , c'est à dire deux placards ! chambre agreable le lendemain et une bouteille de vin pour les excuses .Le petit dejeuner est tout à fait insuffisant .Le prix n'est pas en rapport avec le confort des chambres
