"Holiday Inn Express @ South Padre Island"
It was a very nice hotel and staff was super friendly, rate was steep but probably because it was a holiday! If rates are better other times of the year, we would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed our 2 day stay at the Holiday Inn Express on south Padre Island. The Hotel was clean, big, breakfasts were good, only a block walk to the ocean, and beds were comfortable.

A house is just a house and a room is just a room but with attentive front desk staff, great breakfasts, and a clean room, that my friend makes for a great experience. Thinking very seriously about spending a month at the H.I. Express during the summer to possibly become Island people.

My wife and I chose this Inn to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We are not party people so we didn't tell the Host why we were there. The Host, Alma, personally contacted us to make us welcome. She is one fine lady. Our room was excellent and the morning breakfast table was more than ample.The Inn was very clean and well managed. We had TV troble […] and it was fixed within 5 minutes. Similar problem with the heat/cool system and it also was fixed with in three minutes. Some of the people at the Inn are winter Texans and stay there for months. This, to me, speaks highly of the care and conditions of the Inn. My wife and I stayed at this hotel in the middle of Nov. right at the start of the Island's off season. The hotel was clean well maintained and staffed with very friendly and relaxed people that worked hard to ensure a pleasent visit. "not very fun for a beach hotel"
Maybe it is OK for the price, but is not very convenient if you really want to have fun at the beach, the hotel is about two blocks away from beach, has no restaurant or bar available, they close the swimming pool around 10PM and there is not other area to hang around

We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again next time we are in the area. Very quiet location and just a short walk to the beach.
Decent breakfast and nice pool. Good towel service.

"Last Vacation with our kids"
We love coming to South Padre Island and had not visited for over 2 years. It was great to know that there was a Holiday Inn there. Our stay was great. We did not have to eat breakfast anywhere else because the breakfast that they provided was good and they never ran out. The hotel was clean, it smelled a bit musty, but was tolerable. "SPI Holiday Inn Express - Great Hotel"
We were there for only two days, but really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. In particular, the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is within short walking distance of the beach, and the hotel pool is great too. I'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel was nice enough. The breakfast was really good. We didn't get our room cleaned once. We were out of our rooms at least 2-3 hours each morning. I guess we were out of the room at the wrong times. I went and exchanged our towels myself. It is a couple blocks to the beach. Next time I'll definetly go back to staying at a condo.

Was on 2nd floor, occupant above could be loudly heard walking back and forth...thump, thump, thump. Even worse, the floor was loudly creaking, sounded like they were getting ready to fall through the ceiling. Awakened at dawn both days by noise, not very restful. Issue was brought to desk's attention requesting management contact (she was "not available") […] no follow up or apology from management ever made. "South Padre Holiday Inn Express - near perfect!"
We had a room with two queen beds. There was plenty of space. Nice full length mirror and cable TV. The bathroom had plenty of counter space. Just fine for a Holiday Inn Hotel.

"Beautiful Lobby, clean rooms"
I didn't expect the lobby and dining area to look so nice and smell so clean. Every time I went down there the guy was mopping. There were alot of children, so I guess he had to. The rooms were nice and clean and looked up to date to me. There were a few issues though. The wall must have been to thin because when people pass by you could hear everything […] and when they opened there door you thought they were coming into your room. Also the towels were very hard. Door and Window frames were unpainted. I've stayed in alot of hotels and motels and you pay attention to these things. The staff was friendly and the free breakfast was good. Nice facility all around. As a business traveler, I often wonder wy Holday Inn managers do not equip the romm desks and night stands with lamps that include plug in outlets. Also, I suffer from sleep apnea and require a C-Pap machine- always having to move furnature to find plugs.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was kids running up and down the hall way during sleeping hours.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel was clean and spacious. It included a nice breakfast. The room had a refridgerator and a mircowave. The beach was walking distance. The staff was very polite and helpful. The kids really enjoyed the pool!

I was very pleased at The Holiday Inn South Padre Island. The room was spacious and clean, and friendly staff was a plus. Everything was so nice and convenient including the washer and dryer in our floor. We enjoyed having a microwave oven and a mini fridge among some of the amenities in our room. The courtesy breakfast was great, but I wouldn't recomend […] the eggs (processed I think) Everything else was great. It gets a little crowded on the weekends, but I guess this happens in every hotel in South Padre, so my only complaint is that loud music should not be allowed in the pool area อ่านเพิ่มเติม

"Very nice!"
This hotel was very nice. Friendly, great location, nice clean pool and nice breakfast in the morning. My only complaint would be that the beds were a tad bit harder than what I am used to but would definately recommend it.

Very conveniant location, less than a block away from the beach; Swiming pool has a good size and wel maintained. The rooms were impacable and appliances worked fine with our needs. Located on Padre Ave, with shops, bars and restaurants on walking dostance.

We stayed at the Holiday over Thanksgiving this year. The room was comfortable, the location convenient, and the breakfast was even pretty good.

New hotel with refrig and microwave in the room. Very nice. Front desk staff very welcoming as was the breakfast staff. Only problem was that the fitness center door lock was broken and the room unavailable. Who wants to exercise anyway?

Overall very good value. Clean, comfortable rooms. Dealt with staff and was very happy with their service.
"Needs improvement"
When we checked in the hotel looked dirty. The floors hadn't beened swepted or mopped or the carpets vacuumed. They addressed that in a timely manner but overall I think the hotel needs a bit updating with new tv's and painting. The staff seem to be pleasant.
