Hotel La Bateliere - Schoelcher

Facilities are very good. Food is excellent. personnel friendly and serviciable. Facade towards pool is in much need of paint. Painting will improve appearance tremendously. Outside of that no complains.WAG

Had a wonderful 3 days at Hotel La Bateliere. Stunning views from the dining room where we enjoyed a lovely buffet breakfast each morning. After a hit of tennis on the adjacent (free) tennis courts it was down to the wonderful, cozy beach bar/restaurant below for drinks and a long lazy lunch and swim. Perfect! The staff in the hotel reception, dining […] room and beach bar were friendly, helpful, and except for one or two persons, spoke very passable English, so no problems at all. We went to Carnival 2 of the nights, once catching a free bus a modest walk from the hotel, the next taking a 15-min taxi ride. We had dinner in the hotel the last night and it was delicious and an incredible value. The room/furnishings were quite acceptable, although admittedly the place could use a facelift (peeling paint/etc on the balcony and some outdoor common areas). The hotel has already seen better times. The interior is worn and rundown, would need refurbishing. Overall no good value for money as we had ants and cockroaches in the room. Hotel beach is very small and the restaurant on the beach (lillys) was not serving us, as we did not speak proper French, I guess. Took them over an hour to find my reservation, don't speak English, very rude Front Desk staff. Do not stay here

The hotel was fine for a 3 * hotel but for the price I expected a better quality of room and conditions. The beach mentioned in the description is very small and there was building work going on so it wasnt very relaxing. Noone was able to speak English to us so we struggled with communication. Je vous donne un exemple: un soir j'ai commandé au restaurant ( très bas de gamme, type self service ) trois oefs au plat, tous simples, sans bacon: j'ai payé rien que pour ça 39 euros, plus service !! For å være et firestjernerners hotell var dette meget skuffende. Vi kunne ikke helt skjønne hvorfor de har fått den siste stjernen. Fin konstgjord strand, super frukostbuffe och fina allmänna utrymmen. Det verkar dock som de satsat mest på utsidan. Rummen var slitna och gamla.

Avantages : - La piscine et la plage privative sont une commodité bien appréciable que l'on soit en vacances ou en voyage d'affaire (en plus les serviettes de plages sont gracieusement prêtées). - La petite terrasse dans chaque chambre avec une vue sympathique est un plus non négligeable - Le centre commercial proche est pratique pour faire quelques […] courses et utiliser le frigo disponible dans les chambres. De plus une pizzeria excellente n'est pas loin de même qu'un casino pour les mauvais garçons qui souhaitent sortir le soir : bref l’hôtel est plutôt bien placé. Hotel des années 70 resté dans les années 70 (vetuste, vieillot pas très soigné) pour un 4 étoiles c'est lamentable, le buffet plus de pain dispo, certain plat manquant, etc... quelle image de la Martinique, vraiment dommage

Chambres très bruyantes (isolation intérieure : couloirs, chambres de très mauvaise qualité)
