We spent the weekend with family to celebrate birthdays. Overall we had a lovely relaxing time. Used the facilities of the spa, but felt the treatments were extremely overpriced. Ate in Adams Brasserie, which was lovely and great atmosphere. Sadly after the main courses were served, the service went downhill somewhat and we were basically ignored.

Fabulous Hotel , so convenient for Luton Airport. Beautiful grounds and stunning interior.

It was just sheer luxury staying there both in the standard of the accommodation & service given. The staff were truly as amazing as the suite. I have only good things to say about this hotel

I was struck by the wonderful splendour of the decor, especially the curtains and drapes. They are all exquisite and captivating. The furniture, the carpets, the tapestries are all beautiful and gave the feeling of being in a truly magnificent setting. The only down side in the room, was the two steps from the bedroom down to the bathroom, making it […] slightly unsafe for my elderly husband to visit the bathroom in the middle of the night. I would suggest a very softly lit night light on each step to warn the occupant. Other than that it means turning on the bedside lamp to see the way, and thereby waking the other bedroom occupant. Fantastic hotel with beautiful grounds. Spa excellent. Food in Brazzerie wasexcellent as was service. Would recommend as perfect venue, not far to travel from home (Bushey).

We were slightly disappointed that despite booking a Mansion House room, were actually in the old stable block complex several hundred yards away. I'm not sure if the error in location is the fault of the Hoo or Expedia who I booked through, but I would suggest you call and check if it matters to you. The next disappointment is that at 2pm on the […] day we could not get into the main restaurant - again a schoolboy error on my part but it never occurred to me that as a resident we wouldn't be able to dine there. Having said that the meal in the Bistro was still perfectly enjoyable - although my wife's steak was dry and overcooked, when she'd specifically ordered rare, and the G&T's were an expensive £10 each (doubles without asking). We went to the main house for drinks. My comment here would be the background music was completely at odds with the place - as it was when we had coffee the next morning. Musaaac or lift music - just not required and lowered the tone in my humble opinion!! All in all we found all the staff most friendly and helpful, and as an aside the Land Rover Experience was a great day out too. Luton airport is very close by - so useful if you are heading to or from there, but expect a bit of plane noise at night and early in the morning. Grounds are lovely, so spare some time for a wander if the weather permits. So the tip would be to check you are in the mansion house, and book early for the main restaurant.... อ่านเพิ่มเติม

This is a lovely hotel, with very high standards of service. But the lack of wi-fi in rooms, and the high cost of relatively slow-speed wired internet access is a real issue for business and leisure guests alike.

I could not speak highly enough of this hotel! I chose this location to suprise my other half and ask for her hand in marriage, and i couldnt have chosen better! Amazing building, beautiful and huge grounds to walk around, absolutely the best professional service i have ever encountered at a hotel. The food quality was excellent and the deluxe rooms […] bigger and more extravagent than i expected. The only downside was i only stayed a night, could have happily stayed much longer! Hotel was lovely and price excellent considering hotel and its amazing grounds... but beware the food is very expensive even for a 5 star hotel

Very nice hotel, which was very quiet despite fairly close vicinity to Luton airport. We did not experience any service issues at all, unlike some of the previous comments on this site. Nice grass and hardcourt tennis available on site.

The Hoo hotel is a quiet secluded, very comfortable styleish place. It''s rated 5 star, but the little things don't make it so. If you're looking for a QUIET weekend or golf stay in beautiful sourroundings, this is it. If you want to stay connected to the world... phone reception is dismal, not the hotel's fault. There is NO wireless access and wired […] internet access is 15 min free, then around 5 pounds an hour. I would have expected free access, especially for the grade of hotel and the seclusion offered.
