Staff were lovely and very helpful. Outstanding service from staff they were approachable friendly and went out of there way to assist. Room was alright tv was very outdated. Great location easy access to Vector Arena

The Copthorne Hotel is especially handy if guests need to visit Auckland University. It's a mere 200 metres up the street.

Fine Hotel, excellent staff. Main problems size of work area in room and wardrobe completely inadequate. Need to advise guests of exorbitant costs of international telephone calls. Should have telephone cards for sale. Guest from Dublin Ireland

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, the room amenities were ok. I little annoyed that when checking in after 2pm, our room was still not ready. :-((

It's located only 5 mins from Queen St in Auckland CBD. Quality hotel that's a little tired in some places. The rooms still have keys (not cards) and the internet is terrible. There's only wifi in the foyer, so you have to do downstairs to the foyer to send an email or browse the internet if you're using wifi on your iPad. Parking is a rel problem too, […] as there are only a few carparks at the hotel and the area only has a few spare on the road parks Each room has a balcony, which is great, so they have good aspects in each room. But the curtains in my room were moldy at teh bottom from condensation and obviously haven't been washed... probably ever! Still it's great value for money for its location. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Although the room was quite small it was comfy as were the beds. It was a pleasant stay and it is a bonus having parking free at the hotel. Walking distance to the uni halls of residence and close to the centre of Auckland. Safe walking in the area. A little paint around the place would be good but it was value for money and we will stay again.

When we arrived to the hotel we did not get assistance with our luggage and it was very difficult to navigate the luggage trolley through the narrow elevator and the narrow doors to the rooms. The bathroom was dirty with unmentionable hair on the walls near the toilet! Would not recommend...

Hotel had great service and wonderful resturant but the halls and rooms need a lick of paint. The room also had poor lighting and loud air con but generally for the deal we had it was a good stay. I would probably stay again if the same deal was available.

We had pre-paid accomodation several months before arriving to Auckland from Christchurch. We initially had great service with the Manager of the hotel (presumably) confirming our stay on a lower level floor by phone and email (due to being a building that collapsed during the chc earthquakes). When we arrived the staff told us they were too busy and […] full so had put us on a higher floor. We werent too concered but did voice our discomfort knowing people who had died and had limbs amputated recently in chch. This was met with laughter from not only the person serving us but the person stood next to her. We said "it isnt funny" to which the staff continued to laugh. Nevertheless the receptionist moved us to a lower floor but said "dont come down here tomorrow and complain if it is noisy for you" even though we stated three times that we would then take the original room if it really was too inconvenient for them to move us, but 'no' the 'noisy room' we were not to complain about what 'forced up on us. We gave up for the sake of an easy life! We went to our room, exhausted, and lay down. Half an hour later a male member of staff just walked straight in on us in bed! No apology, nothing. We decided to go out and try and retrieve some of the day. We went to eat in the restaurant of the hotel and when we asked 'can we have a menu please' was sternly told 'go and wait' and waved away with a hand. My husband and I looked at each other and walked out. This was supposed to be a relaxing two days away from the drama and trauma in CHCH and was itself becoming a nightmare and more stressful than if we had stayed home with the aftershocks. The following morning we were told breakfast was at 6am. Not wanting to waste the day, we went down for breakfast at six and with a wave of the hand was again told to wait. 35 minutes later we got to sit down but no-one could tell us what was and was not included in the Bed and Breakfast package.
