I was apprehensive about booking this place after reading the reviews but since it matched my budget and requirements plus the approximity to Osaka Castle, proceeded to book it. Was pleasantly surprised to read on their website that the place was recently furnished. It did show on our arrival. A nice reception area was a good start coupled with the […] reception staff who was thorough with the house rules and friendliness. Room was small and cosy. Came with cooking utensils, microwave and boiler. Nice comfy bed and they gave us Yukata to wear. Overall was a good stay for us. Note though no wireless in room, just at reception. The room was large, clean, and looked recently renovated. The hotel is close to Osaka Castle and a short metro ride to Namba. The staff was very nice, though they are not at the front desk 24hrs. The unit which is designed for self catering was very small. We were a family of 3. The hotel is about 15 minutes in a taxi from the centre of Osaka (Umeda).

Weekly Mansion Osaka is your own home away from home. It's complete with a bed and kitchen (hot-plate) and shower. Staff is helpful and you can also buy Yukatas from them ranging from 2,000 - 2,500 yen. Location is close to convenience stores and a few supermarket. Nothing really to complain about.

location is away from main city grid thus not entirely a strategic location. it comes with all basic apartment living facilities except for wifi. Overall not a good place to consider if you are traveling in a group or family trip.

Hotel was in an ideal location: close to Osaka Castle, subways and other public transpo. Took trains to Kyoto and Nara. Apartment had everything we needed (from rice cooker to electric teakettle) for simple meal prep and other comforts. Everything was very clean, desk folks very helpful and friendly. We would stay again if in Osaka.

stayed here twice and will again. Booked far enough in advance you can get an amazingly cheap rate. Staff speaks enough english. Rooms have a fridge & kitchenette, laundry downstairs & bike rental available. as small as the rooms might seem, they are actually a bit bigger than most business hotels in Japan.

The 2 bed room mansion is small but still comfortable for 4 of us. The distance to the closest Tanimachi 4 Chome station is only about 5 min slow walk. I have stayed in this hotel for 7 nights. My friends and I lived in a 3-bed-room. The room was great. It was pretty clean. The hotel staff were very nice. The location may not be the most convenient one but there is a subway nearby. So, the location is not a big problem especially if you have a subway pass.

Weekly Mansion is probrably the cheapest & spacious hotel you can get. It's definately your choice if you are travel in a group or with family. The hotel is around 8 minute walking distance to the nearest subway station and the front desk only work from 8am-8pm but considering the price you are paying, it's still a very great value hotel.

A bit hard to find from the closest JR station. It would be good to get a simple English map as you can easily walk there from JR Morinomiya station. Exit the station and cross over to the park which is diagonally opposite the station exit. Walk along the park until you get to the end (keep walking with the park on your right side). Once you are familiar […] with the route you can walk through the park grounds each day. When you get to the end of the park, cross at the lights. You will see a museum on your left but keep walking in the same direction. You will cross another two sets of lights but at the third set of lights turn into the street and you should see Weekly Mansion sign. Before you turn off the street there is a convenience store on the opposite corner and you will see the Weekly Mansion Otemae sign from the street you have been walking down. I hope that helps as we had no idea the first time and it took us ages. The actual accomodation was really good considering we had only stayed in tiny hotel rooms in Tokyo. The kids loved the tatami flooring and futon bedding in their room, it gave them a real Japanese experience. It was a bonus that we could prepare and heat up meals and we bought most of our food from the Lawson 100 which was just a few minutes walk away (just ask at reception for a map).
