Front desk staff was not hospitable at all, i stood at the front desk about 5 minutes without anyone acknowledging me or welcoming to the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and cheerful. The food was very nice.

"Does not live up to expectations"
Whilst the facility is reasonable enough, as far as it goes, there are a number of negatives that simply should not have been allowed to occur. The hotel is NOT good value for money by any means and in my opinion many of the nearby hotels offer more bang for your money. 1) There is no safe in the room. Using the safety boxes at reception is a bit of […] a challenge, given that the boxes themselves are too small and also that anyone at reception, including staff and milling guests etc, can easily see what you are doing. In-room safety boxes are dirt cheap to purchase nowadays, so I am at a loss as to why the hotel does not arrange this minor upgrade to its basic amenities. 2) Guests need to present themselves at reception each morning (even though the room had been prepaid) to get your breakfast voucher.... a minor inconvenience, but a nuisance nevertheless. 3) Breakfast was very "ordinary" to say the least. Not enough variety and the quality (and age) of some of the dishes, especially the Filipino ones, was questionable. 4) My room was not made up until I reminded them of this at 2PM in the afternoon. 5) My key card was deactivated on day 2 (yet another minor inconvenience, but a nuisance nevertheless) for some inexplicable reason. This entailed yet another trip to the front desk to grumble and there was not a hint of apology or even an explanation. "Unfriendly staff"
It's difficult to get attention from the staff at the front desk. They tend be busy with their computers or looking in other directions when you are talking with them. No eye contact. One example: When leaving, I told the front desk that I wanted to check out and gave them my room key. The attendant didn't respond, just took my key and called someone […] via a walkie-talkie and started to do some other tasks with his back towards me. "Great little place"
I arrived at 4 am after an international flight and they still checked me in even though the check in time was 2 am. They also upgraded my room. They were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the air worked great. Malate is not the best neighborhood but its close to the airport. The hotel is walking distance to the Manila Bay which was nice. The Lotus Garden hotel is ok if you are there to go to bars and clubs. The hotel rooms are spacious enough, and the bed was very comfortable. The service was slow, the check in slow. Then we get to the room. There was hair in the toilet and the sink. There air con was very loud and did not work correctly. The closet smelled bad. "Good Value"
Good value hotel in convenient location. Standard room was not ready when I arrived so was given free upgrade. Nice breakfast and room was clean with good A/C. 5 minutes walk to Robinson Mall. Would stay again.

I have been traveling to this area for several years, and i usually stay in Ermita at another hotel comparable to this one that was under renovation during my stay. I chose this hotel based on good reviews posted on Hotels.com, and i was not disapointed. It is a good value for the price, and this hotel is within walking distance to many attractions […] in the Ermita/Malate area such as Cowboy Grill, Calle 5, Baywalk and Luneta Park. The neighborhood is a bit cluttered with beggers, noisy jeepneys, trikes and nite life, but this is just the way it is in Manila. If you want to pay three times the cost you could stay about three blocks away on Roxas Blvd across from Baywalk in one of the five start hotels, and you will be in a somewhat cleaner neighborhood with fewer beggers. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

"Expensive and bad service"
We chose the hotel mostly because of the location and because we wanted our last night in the Philippines to be a bit more luxurious. Well, it wasn't. We payed a lot of money for one night and sure, there was television and a hot water shower, but we expected a lot more for that amount of money. The breakfast buffet was really good actually and probably […] the only reason I didn't leave any complaints. However, the receptionists weren't much help at all. They did't seem to know much about the surroundings, they didn't smile and I definitely didn't get any kind of service feeling from them at all. After all, they are the face of the hotel and they did create a really bad first impression of the hotel. In the description of the hotel it said that our room should have a city view. It did not. So we had to wait in the lobby with our luggage for almost two hours before a room with a city view was available. Considering that we only had one night in Manila, this really interfered with our plans and made the whole day quite stressful. The hotel also advertised a lot about their own gym on the second floor, wich was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel. I asked the receptionist if the gym was open, he said yes and I went to change my clothes. When I went to the second floor there was no sign of a gym so after a few minutes of looking I went down to the reception and asked for guidence and they redirected me to ANOTHER HOTEL! What the h*ll was that?? That made me really furious.. You can't advertise about something that you don't have! So, only one last complaint.. The bellman who was supposed to help us with our bags was really rude and didn't carry anything at all. He just watched us carry it, even though there was a wagon for the purpose just a few meters away. Talk about non-service minded people.. However, the doormen were nice and the breakfast was great. "Lotus Garden Hotel-Jeepneys make it noisy"
If the Lotus Garden gets double glazed windows to cut out the noise the jeepney make it would be a much more relaxing stay, but as it was, I found it impossible to sleep.

Gone is the attentiveness to details and better service of the past. Have used this hotel for several days at a time, for the last 3 years. This year it seems the perfrormance has deteriorated. If you book this hotel on-line, it's probably a good deal. They are not close to the airport, as advertised. I was charged double at room service and told that they hadn't had time to change the menu. Watch your menu pricing versus what you sign. I liked the room and business and travel office. This hotel is conveniently located near Robinson's Place in Malate. The complimentary breakfast buffet is excellent and hotel service is commendable. エアコンが小型でほぼ強の状態で使用する事になり音がうるさい。またドアの遮音性能が良くないため他の客が廊下で話している声が普通に聞こえる。 スタッフサービスはとても良いが、チェックイン時に部屋のチェックをするとの事で10分以上待った。これはいただけなかった。
