We were more than happy with our stay at the Stowe Inn. The staff was wonderful and so friendly. Our room was cozy, warm and spacious. Each time we returned, we had clean sheets, a clean bathroom and clean towels. We made the decision to extend our stay for one more day. We were able to keep our same room and staff was extremely accomidating. I thought […] the rates were very reasonable and we just can't say enough good things about our stay. The picture shows the Inn/Restaurant and not the motel which is behind and is old but clean. The room had been redecorated. Our room had a light by each bed so any reading had to be done lying on the bed. While there was a couch and easy chair there was no light to use them and you could not watch TV from them. The TV remote went up and down channels […] but no numbers to select a specific channel. Staff was friendly & helpful. With that said, the internet WIFI didn't work even after inquiring at the desk as to what I should do differently if anything. There was quite a noticeable stain in the carpet, and the little waste can in the bathroom wasn't completely empty upon check in. My wife and I stayed there Oct. 28, 2011, a warm fall day. NO A/C or fan in room. It was Very HOT inside room, approx 80 or higher. Only one window, so very little ventilation. At 8pm called front desk for help and no one was there. People in next room said their room was HOT, too. Front desk did not open till 8am the next morning. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and I received a complimentary bottle of wine which was a surprise just for staying there. Very nice hotel.

We stayed in the carriage house that was as you would expect. Wasn't a 5 star room but it was nice. They go out of their way to make you feel at home Breakfast was wonderful!! For the price we couldn't expect more. With 3 adults and 2 children the two double beds and queen size pull out sofa was perfect. We only needed a night stay with our children, the room was large enough (w/ a sofa bed + 2 double beds) and the breakfast was pretty nice (Cabot yogurt and make-your-own waffles :) Everything went smoothly, we would've appreciated a warmer pool!

Great location. Stowe, how could it not be? Room was not cared for at all. Daily cleaning staff did a good job, but when we first arrived smelled like it hadn't been aired out for months. Exterior was falling to pieces. Roof had crumbly dirty stuff hanging off from it. Continental Breakfast was completely lacking. Mattress was good quality and comfortable. […] Furniture very dated and quilts on the beds were torn. Pool was clean and in a good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel was as expected for the price. The bathroom was in bad need of an update, but the beds were extremely comfortable. Perhaps a little more secure locking system could be installed instead of just the basic lock on the doorknob (which can be easily opened by any amateur) and the chain once you are in the room. We intially had booked the economy room. We checked in at about five and quickly moved our stuff in and then left. Upon our return late at night we found the floor to be wet and no one was at the front desk. The next morning they assured us they would put us in another room which they did. the hotel was very accommodating for my last minute late arrival, and the room was quite spacious for the price, with a pretty good breakfast and an excellent location.

better than expected, food and staff were nice, small refridgerator and coffee maker would have been nice in room, but decent size room, i would recommend it.

I was very unimpressed. The room was large and the bed was comfy but that's about it. The hot tub was broken, which no one ever bothered to mention. The bathroom was very outdated and not very clean. The room overlooked the parking lot and was quite loud. The only redeeming factor was the staff, well the day staff. While the Stowe Mountain Inn has a wonderful location within walking distance to restaurants and shops and the historic Inn itself is quite lovely with wonderful lobby and dining room. I would advise guests to confirm that their reservations are at the Inn rather than the Carriage House Annex. nice for the $ - carriage house expensive, but good meals

The heat was on for us on a cold chilly night. The room was clean. The young man at the desk was a pleasure to deal with & thank goodness they have a tavern on sight. Stowe apparently closes up at 8:00 pm. Food was excellant.

Bon emplacement à distance de marche du village. Belle piscine extérieure. Les chambres de l'annexe auraient besoin d'un peu de rafraichissement (de même que la bâtisse elle même). Les lits sont moyennement confortables. Je le recommanderais surtout pour le prix et la proximité du village.
