Hotel Ideal - Piraeus

great location close to ferries... good hotel for what you pay for... great place for a stop over to catch a ferry in the morning

The hotel was in excellent condition and surprised me it was only rated 2 stars. There arent any rooms with a good view, but as no-one would be staying in Pireaus for the town itself it doesnt matter. I stayed one night before my boat to Naxos and stayed the night before my flight home a week later and slept very well. The area is not very desirable, […] but like any port or train station area thats not what counts! It was a 15 mins slow walk from gate 10 to gate 7, which is fine for the daytime, but after night id suggest a taxi if you're on your own. But beware... i got a taxi on the meter but when i arrived at the hotel a 3 mins drive away he wanted to charge an extra 6 euros for the 4 euros drive, and threatened to take my suitcase to the police!!! The hotel owner threw him out and told me that the taxi drivers sometimes try to scam tourists. So a great hotel, very convenient location, dodgy taxi drivers!!! อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Perfect for staying in when you have a ferry to catch from Piraeus port. Only a short walk from the ferry. Staff very obliging and helpful. Comfortable. Breakfast available (extra to pay) but more than we could eat! Immediate area slightly iffy but not found to be a problem in any way. This is a clean, well run hotel but in a very bad area. On the first night we "popped" down the street for a night cap and got totally fleeced/robbed and everything that could have happened did with the result of our holiday being totally ruined. Vi bodde tilsammen tre netter på dette hotellet og dersom du ikke må ha masse luksus men ei god seng, ikke for mye bråk, AC, bra bad og lav pris anbefaler jeg gjerne Ideal. Vi kommer garantert til å benytte oss av samme hotell om vi skal vi Athen også neste gang. Øyvind

Très bonne situation de cet hôtel proche du Pirée, Personnel très serviable. Malgré l'heure tardive, la réceptionniste a commandé nos billets de bateaux auprès d'une agence qui est venu nous les porter à l'hôtel.

Det ligger ganske rigtigt tæt på havnen i Piræus, men dog en 20 minutters gåtur fra E7, hvor de fleste færger lægger til eller afgår og hvor metroen ind til byen er. Rent og pænt.

Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. The room was clean. The aircondition was working perfect and quiet, easy to operate from a remote control. Next door and right across the street where cafeterias open until midnight serving nice local food. Walking distance to the airport bus, the metro and ferry terminal.
