The O'Callaghan Eliott Hotel was very expensive; our room was very nice, spacious, and clean. However, the lighting was very poor--very low wattage light bulbs; one lamp's socket did not work, and there were no other sockets to substitute with. The hair dryer was connected to the power source in a drawer and did not have a cord long enough to use in […] front of the mirror. There was no socket in the bathroom for a curling iron. We just returned from a visit to Spain and Gibraltar, where we spent a few days at the O'Callaghan. While the hotel definitely appears to be the best of the lot in the central part of Gibraltar, it is in need of some updating and more frequent maintenance. Upon check-in, the staff wasn't overly friendly. They weren't chatty and really didn't exchange […] any pleasantries or tips that you're accustomed to from more established hotels. The room and bathroom were spacious, but dated. The carpets in the room and hallway appear to need replacement, or more frequent washing. While very clean for the most part, our bathroom had some mold in the tub. reception staff very frosty

The hotel was smart and clean and ideally situated for seeing the sights of Gibraltar. The staff were very friendly and helpful and had a wonderful sense of humour, which helped you feel relaxed and comfortable, In particular I liked the initial greeting from Kevin on reception and the waiter in the bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they were probably the highlight of the hotel. The room was very comfortable and it was nice after a long trip of Europe and Morocco to have a great AC and shower! The English Breakfast buffet was great and the wait staff as well! The only downfall is the internet, it is not included in the rate and is very pricey, […] they do not even have free wifi in the lobby - which most hotels these days have AT THE VERY LEAST! But the staff was very helpful and instead of pushing the purchase of the internet they directed us to great spots for free wifi and great cups of coffee. Faded glory. Gibraltar has only a few hotels and The Eliott and The Rock hotels are the best. Both have seen better days. It is such a shame that so little investment has been made in recent years to keep this hotel up to standard. The air conditioning wouldn't keep my car cool, which given the heat is a major flaw.it could be so much better. All that aside, the hotel is well located for exploring Gibraltars areas of interest and the rooms are well presented. The location of this hotel is just amazing, sadly that's were the strong positives end. Breakfast was non dis-script and forgettable, the room was poorly maintained and the trouser press didn't work the ironing board, well I wouldn't have put my clean shirts on it. The ground floor bar was stylish and a pleasure to be in, the staff where friendly and helpful. With a little work this could be the best hotel in Gib and its location is far and away its biggest plus. I felt it didn't deserve its current star rating. The Eliott Hotel has a great location and its top floor restaurant has superb views over the surrounding areas. I was upgraded to the Victoria Suite which was very comfortable and spacious.

This hotel is supposed to be the best in gibraltar and is marketed as a 'Business Hotel', yet they charge you £18 per day for wi-fi! That is a joke in this day and age. The hotel is clean and breakfast good, although people were sometimes being asked if they had finished so others could sit down. The staff went out of their way to insure I had a pleasant stay. They gave helpful guidance for my brief time to tour and attended to every request.

We have stayed at The O'Callaghan Eliott Hotel in Gibraltar 3 times now and we choose this particular hotel above The Rock Hotel for its central position. A particularly good hotel for those people who are less mobile.

The hotel was nice, but it didn't have any area for Free-WiFi - even in the lobby. It could use a slight updating of carpets, drapes, and furnishings. There was a small coffee shop within 20 meters that offered free-WiFi for customers. The convenient parking in front was a big plus.

What a lovely place to stay, right up against the Rock. Delightful folks on the desk, a clean COOL room. We had a great stay and were very happy with our on-line choice. Easy access to shopping, restaurants and pedestrian areas in Gibraltar.

The Eliot was perfectly comfortable, but difficult to find. The address didn't show up in our rented GPS; Mapquest didn't show it. It would be best to enter points of interest to exactly locate the hotel since the streets are very tight once off the main ones.

on arrival we were invited to checkin early, as the room was ready, this was a bonus as we didn't want to drag our cases around town. We found all staff pleasant and friendly. The room was very comfortable, the aircon a perfect bonus too, it was wonderful, and really needed, as the weather was really hot. The bathroom was large, but unfortunately only […] shower, no bath, but at least was very clean. The size of the bed was queen , which was great, but unfortunately only covered with thick winter duvet which was too hot for this time of the year, and to have the aircon on all night was too noisy. The location of the hotel was also ideally centrally situated for town shopping, taxi hire for sight seeing, and guided tours of 'THE ROCK'. So many Restaurants and pubs situated in walking distance to hotel too. To me this was the ideal hotel in ideal position, and will definately be staying there again อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Hotel was in a great location, right on the main high street - perfect to go towards the Botanical Gardens and and cable car ride [about 5 mins walk] or towards the main square and harbour [about 10 mins walk]. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, rooms very clean, beds extremely comfortable. We did eat dinner in the restaurant, but had breakfast in there […] both mornings - fantastic views from there as its on the top floor. Breakfast no complaints either. The hotel is in a good location in relation to Main Street (shopping) and provides fairly easy acces to many of the major tourist attractions.

Ikke lett å finne hotellet, trange gater. Grei parkering. Greie rom og veldig sentral beliggenhet, hyggelig bar og grei frokost. Kan anbefales, men litt dyrt.

Hotellet fungerar mer som ett familjehotell än som ett affärsresenärshotell. Mycket charmig personal, små problem uppstår men de löses vänligt. Vi har bott där då och då under 7 år. Men när man bokar över nätet får man det minsta och enklaste rum de har. Man måste vara på hugget och kontrollera rummet innan man bestämmer sig.

Vier sterren is een beetje overdreven voor dit hotel. De kamer is ruim, beetje gedateerd maar okee. De badkamer is prima. De airco kan alleen op een waanzinnig harde stand, dus die kan 's nachts eigenlijk niet aan blijven. De tv heeft nauwelijks werkende zenders. De receptie is onderbemand en onverschillig. Zeer comfortabel hotel, Goed ontbijtbuffet. In het op de 8ste verdieping gelegen restaurant - prachtig uitzicht - heb ik maar 1x gegeten: het eten vond ik niet echt verrassend. Hotellet ligger centralt og perfekt forhold til sightseeing med mere i Gibraltar. Godt pool område. Der må dersværre ryges i baren. Maden standard

We had a junior suite facing the rock - very recommendable - with a good view. Room was quite large and had a good king size bed. If you go by car make sure that you follow the small signs saying "elliot hotel" - the last 500 meters will be through very narrow streets streets - leave car in front of hotel and they will park it for you (good service). […] We used the svimmingpool several times a day and dined in the restaurant in evening for barbecue - both great experiences - Watching the sun down at roof top restaurant is a must .
