Excellent hotel - stylish decor, lovely setting, a great place for a weekend break.

Top class hotel, really nice setting, great atmosphere and excellent spa and leisure facilities. Will go back very soon!

Lovely room, great spa, lovely champagne bar....

I frequently stay in hotels with my job, however this is the first time I have stayed at the De Vere Oulton Hall...what can I say! The staff were very friendly, the rooms very large with a large flatscreen television. The grounds were beautiful and the leisure facilities very good. Unfortunately we booked a room at this hotel during one of their very busy periods. We arrived after a very long journey and found we were unable to eat in either the main restaurant (fully booked), or the Champagne Bar (advised to go there by the receptionist) but it had closed to serving of food. We (and others) had to trek round the outside of a […] badly lit hotel and find our way into the Claret Jug bar (also poorly lit and signed). The food was acceptable. The breakfast was buffet style in an enormous dining room - breakfast also acceptable, not great, as hot food had been sitting in warmed containers. room was a bit tired and old - paint coming off the ceiling wifi was excellent

Extremely good value at the price we paid. What impressed us, though, was the attitude of the staff whi, in several small ways, went out of their way to be helpful. Buffet breakfast was also pleasantly lavish. We will come back.

a very peaceful place to stay. The rooms were a little outdated, but the hotel itself was very grand with fantastic interior. The pool and jacuzzi was modern and all inc free of charge. The meal we had inc in our price was also top drawer. My only negative would be the prices charged - £20 cheapest bottle of red wine, £4 for a bottle of beer. excelrnt weekend spoiled because main resteraunt was fully booked on the saterday night despite being booked in for dinner bed &breakfast

a beautiful hotel in fantastic setting. the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. our room was lovely, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, apart from the number of wasps around the bar terrace area. the only disappointment was the price of drinks, very high. Really recomend a stay here, great hotel, lovely food

We were delighted with the hotel and its settings. In general the staff were very helpful and attentive. The only down side was a mix up with our lunch order in the Claret Jug, something other diners also experienced. The gym was small but adequate and the pool, sauna and steam room relaxing.
