Its an older motel that was once in poor shap the owners are working very hard to fix it up and it shows the bed was extreamily comfortable room very clean it was nice to have a frig and mico in the room i would stay their again

Had trouble finding it with my GPS. Most likely because of the Route 112 address rather than a street name. BUT, when I called for directions, the person answering was not sure where he was or about nearby landmarks, so it made it difficult to finally arrive. Then checking out the last day was very slow, as the 'new guy' (his term) had to walk to his […] boss's house to get a key to get into the office & then had trouble printing out a receipt. To this date, I am still unsure of how much I am going to be charged as the new guy was unsure also. The room was clean, but I had trouble regulating the room temperature. I ordered a non-smoking King room and received a smoking room with 2 double beds. They said thats all they had. They also charged me for my stay after I told them twice it was paid in full at Hotels.com they voided the transaction.

I had heard things not so nice about this hotel but apparently it was a preveouse hotel/management. The room was nice and well kept. I got a smoking room but it dodger even reek of smoke smell. The room was shabby and worn looking. There were cracks in the tile in the bathroom. The toilet didn't flush properly from the get go and didn't get any better after we reported the problem. The room didn't have a hair dryer for my wife, the shower didn't have any soap or shampoo in it and the sink didn't have any soap either. The remote control for […] the TV didn't work. It was listed as a non smoking room, which we requested, and it reeked of cigarette smoke. We were told that we could check in early at a specific time, and when we arrived after the specified time, we were told that we couldn't check in. My stay at this facility was exceptional. The attendants went out of their way to accommodate me--helping with directions, making sure my room was set to my specifications, etc.

My daughter and I traveled from Minneapolis to Long Island. This was the last hotel we stayed at before returning to Minneapolis. The staff was very nice. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and courteous. The hotel is a motel, which is no big deal. However, with the doors opening to the parking lot, I expect security. After entering the […] room, I shut the door and tried to lock it. The deadbolt would not lock. After messing with it, I realized that the door looked shut, but was not. I then slammed it shut and could see that it was completely shut. Still the deadbolt did not work, but the handle was locked so I let it go. The room smelled of mildew. The carpet felt wet and after 10 minutes with the A/C on my throat began to hurt. I took my shirt and put it over the A/C unit. That did the trick. The shirt helped filter the air and the moisture. If you are looking for just a room to spend the night - then this is it. When we stayed it seemed as if the room had just been freashly painted and new carpets put it. We were just looking for a room to sleep in and it fit our needs perfect. The draw backs - no blow dryer and the toliet/shower area is very small.

Great Location near to Port Jefferson and the ferry accross to Connecticut. Room was confortable and the services were first class. Nice Pool to enjoy before a warm hearty breakfast. Helpful Staff. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

the manger was a very nice person but we had two large beatles in the room 1 dead 1 running out from under the bed dated small small bathroom(gold tile fromt the 50s i thing and hard matresses worn out i wuld say no someplace i would stay again even if it ws cheap

We were welcomed pleasantly by the night manager with a promise of coffee and rolls the next morning. The mattresses were quite hard, but that is a personal preference, I suppose. The next morning....NO ROLLS, and a rude new manager who said there was no such thing. A small thing....but it does stay in one's mind.
