We chose this location for 2 nights near the beach due to the great customer ratings. There are other locations closer to the ocean but this one was safe, clean and in our price range. I live very close but my daughter was coming to spend a couple of nights with me from Arizona and we thought being nearer to the ocean would be relaxing. The room was […] very nice and we slept well. When we got up the first morning, we decided to get breakfast at the Denny's next door without cleaning ourselves up. We had also decided that we did not need maid service. There was no door flag to stop the service and this lead to a problem. I use a dental plate at night and had placed it on a washcloth by the sink. When we got back from breakfast, the room had been serviced and the dental plate gone. Management was wonderful. The trash, vacuum cleaner and laundry all searched but no dental plate. A recent $600 expense gone! After searching every nook and cranny of the room including the plumbing, we gave up and left for the day but not before the manager compensated us very kindly for the mistake even though the hotel is not really liable for such issues. Upon our return at the end of the day, the dental guard had been found unharmed in the laundry. The manager Jose, was amazingly diligent and worked hard to keep us relaxed and happy. I will go back! Staff were extremely friendly and I was treated well. The room was nice and conveniently located.

Don't expect much and you will be happy here. The front desk staff were not unfriendly, just not very friendly. The hotel was an easy 5 minute walk to the Ventura State beach. There is also a promenade-path that takes you to the pier and beyond if you want to ride bikes or go for a run. The breakfast voucher at the Denny's just down the street turned […] out to be a great deal. You can choose from 4 items on voucher for free or take a $5 credit off the regular menu. Must use voucher between 6-9 am. The server at Denny's was great, we didn't feel like a second class citizen with our voucher. Of course we tipped like we would for the same size breakfast. We booked this hotel because of it's location and price. The first night we stayed, we were awakened after midnight by water pouring out of the air conditioning unit. We turned it off and tried to sleep with the window open but traffic noise from the freeway prevented that. The next morning we requested to move to a different room. We finally were moved to another room only to have another couple walk right in a couple of hours later. Apparently, they forgot they moved us. The parking was nearly non-existent. Limited parking - don't get there late or you will be parking at "In and Out" drivethru parking lot. Room arrangement was different as it was long and narrow. Hard to locate light switch in dark (warned by staff at desk) and we arrived during daylight hours. Housekeeping should leave a light on.... Air Conditioner was hard to regulate - drafty.

The actual time spent wasn't a value. Check-in wasn't until 3pm & check-out was at 11am. If this is standard, this is news to me. Also I had reserved two rooms with two queen-sized beds and got one room with one king-sized bed and the other with the two queens like I had reserved. The weather was great and so was the service! Oh the location was perfict for the event I participated in.

I had to stay in Ventura for work and this hotel happened to be directly across from where I was working...everything was great except for the pillows...they were too soft! But everything else was great...I will be staying there again!

Ït was ok hotel. Just plain as most hotels. I dont understand the bad reviews Ive seen on net for the hotel. fOr me it was fine. Perhaps a bit on the expesive side. But the rooms were not so much worse than on mariiott on the other side of the road.has free wifi which worked as it should. no complaints. single woman traveling

This hotel was clean, had a microwave, refrigerator & a comfortable bed. It was close to the beach & restaurants. Enjoyed my stay & will stay here again.

We stayed here two nights, and were happy with the close proximity to the beach. The room was somewhat small and slightly difficult to manuver around in. The coffee maker was located in the bathroom, which I was uncomfortable with. Overall, it was a decent room in a great location and I was satisfied that I got what I paid for.

We were very impressed with the overall customer service of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and was always ready to help us and answer our questions. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with pillow-top mattresses and sound-proof windows. We were well rested the next morning. This was our first time staying in Ventura and we were not aware […] of the many things to do in Ventura and the great variety of restaurants they have. This hotel was right across from the beach so we enjoyed our afternoon relaxing on the beach and took a stroll to Ventura Pier for dinner. It's just off the freeway... which means our room overlooked the freeway. It wasn't too loud, but it was rather distracting. It is a short walk to the beach, though (maybe 3 blocks.)

Bon hôtel moderne et confortable à un prix raisonnable; réception aimable. L'hôtel étant en travaux de réfection, cela a pu créer certains inconvénients mais sûrement de courte durée. La proximité de l'autoroute 101 crée bien sûr du bruit, mais il est aussi facile de trouver l'hôtel ainsi que d'en partir.
