South Mountain Resort - ลิงคอล์น

Great hotel with huge rooms, good facilites and a fantastic location - just a 5 minute drive from Loon Mountain. We had a lovely stay there. My only complaint would be that they advertise the facilities as having a sauna, however, when we got there, it appeared that the sauna had been removed from the female changing rooms, which after a cold day on […] the slopes, was a bit disappointing. Hotel was doing some renovations to the rooms and pool but they were so accomdating to us, we never even knew. Hotel is right next to Loon Mountain and all the rooms have great views of the Mountians. Perfect place to stay!

Reasonable for the rate we had. It is a little hard to find because the hotel sing says "InnSeason Resorts South Mountain" and the given road name "InnSeason Drive" did not rexist in our GPS. Even the locals we asked were note sure. But if you know that it is the big hotel at the main road it is easy to find.

Beautiful room at a great price. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. Too bad they are converting it to time shares.

This was a great place to stay. The only suggested improvement would be to serve breakfast, but there were 2 breakfast places across the street. It's right in the center of town.

The rooms were great . The Jacuzzi indoors was being repaired so we couldn't use the exercise room or indoor pool either because of the fumes from the repair process. The outdoor jacuzzi barely worked. There is not much in the town to do . It did have good access to the mountains and passes.

Comfortable, clean, spacious, tasteful atmosphere. Only wish it weren't being expanded and changed to timeshares.

This was a lovely hotel, with a warm welcome. We checked in early...no problems at all. The room was right next to the pool and as this was an out of season stay it was very quiet. The reception staff searched for an adaptor for us as our own had given up the ghost. They could not have been nicer. The spacious room had a fabulous big bed...high and […] regal with lots of pillows and lovely linen. A hair dryer and coffee maker were provided and the room had air conditioning and a big TV. The shower was fabulous... The situation of the hotel is right on the main street next door to the police station and the town hall...very handy as we needed advice about our next days travel to Vermont which had suffered at the hands of hurricane Irene. We were also able to use the guest computer to try and find out how the roads to Vermont were holding up to the recent deluge. There are lots of restaurants near by. We went to the Common Man which is about half a mile away and the walk was pleasant and the road safe. We had a room on the 3rd floor. The view was the swimming pool and the mountains. We enjoyed the patio with the two chairs, just taking in the view and the breeze. Very enjoyable visit.

Hiked Mt. Washington and stayed overnight at this wonderful hotel. It's located in downtown Lincoln on the main strip with plenty of restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. I will definitely stay here again. The facility was very clean, and the staff was wonderful.

Our family had a pleasant stay. The room was comfortable. Our only complaint is that noise travels very easily. We must have had a family in the room above us with young children because we heard the running and jumping from the time they got out of bed in the morning. The plumbing is very loud. This resort was clean, the staff was nice, and the room was great.

Very dissatisfied with check-in. Quite unprofessional. Rest of the stay [4 days] was good. Clean and comfortable, handy to all White Mountain activities.

This was our first trip to New England, This hotel was easy to find and Lincoln NH is a great central location with easy access to the White Mountains, Vermont and back to Portland Me. The hotel was in excellent condition, very clean, very large rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, and plenty of quiet areas. It's also an easy walk to some decent places […] to eat or a quick drive (maybe 2 miles) to the main street of Lincoln NH which has plenty of taverns and stores and a nice park. The only minor issue was there is no free internet access in the hotel rooms. We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and had a great time, perfect service, great prices for what we had, very cozy and clean rooms, large bathrooms, oven, microwave, 2 tv's, DVD's, fridge, everything was working perfect. Nice swimming pool. Exellent and friendly staff.

Our room smelled funny and the air conditioner was extremely loud while running. We were on the first floor and it was very noisy above us when people moved in the hotel. It seemed like a roadside motel that was trying to market itself as a "resort". Not sure what resort amenities it really had except a pool. South Mountain Resort is a very comfortable base for a visit to all of the NH mountain sights. It is comfortable, clean and completely satisfactory. I would not rate it as a top of the line location but it is fairly priced and I would go there again.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and not had a problem as far as cleanliness. This time around the only issue was the drain in the bathtub, it was broken and water wouldn't drain, and there was mold spots on the ceiling from moisture. The pros for us were: this hotel is in an excellent location. The accessibility to nearby sites, hiking, and the mountains, is superb. The front desk staff was pleasant, and informative. There are indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzis, which are great for the evenings, when kids want to take a swim. The hotel is well-maintained overall, and has a nice […] library, with a piano, and fireplace. Here are the cons: we stayed in single room, with two beds, and a patio. The room was VERY musty in smell, the beds were extremely uncomfortable (rock hard mattresses), and there wasn't a refrigerator in the room (even a small one, offered at most hotel chains these days); the outdoor jacuzzi was cold, and the indoor jacuzzi was at a luke warm temp during our stay. We ended up layering extra blankets on the bed to make it softer, but left our 3-day vacation with stiff backs and shoulders, and not much sleep. This could be a very nice hotel if the hotel staff and maintenance person (I only saw the one guy running around) would upkeep their rooms. Anyone can vaccum the floors and make the bed. But when you have an outdoor temperature in the 70's, leave the boilers on in the hotel basement, and book people in a room with a broken air conditioner you have to […] know you're not taking care of your customers. We requested a different room, was told there were NONE. OK, fine, how about a fan to put in the window that wouldn't stay open. NOPE, have no fans (even though I saw one from the parking lot in another room window). They did send the "repair guy" into my room to fix the A/C unit. That was a joke. He is not, in my opinion, qualified to repair A/C units. He took off the cover, banged his fist on something, put the cover back on and told us it was all fixed, but would take a while to 'warm up' and get cool. There was no air moving out of that box before he got there, and there was no air moving out of that box once he left, warm, cold, or otherwise. Updated and very clean. Front desk staff and manager on duty on Friday 5/20/11 was of no help. The manager hid out back after we asked to speak to her. The A/C was not operating and the room was well over 80 degrees. She had her staff tell us the hotel was 100% booked and could not move us. The room and accomodations were great. We just wanted to get away for the night and be in the North country, and this place really met our needs. Our only issue was the rooms a/c. The room was on the third floor and very hot (+80) when we arrived. We opened the door to the balcony to cool down the room, but it was a relatively warm evening. Before bed, […] we closed the door and tunred the a/c on. When I woke several hours later, the room was unbearably hot (+90!). The a/c was on cold and didn't seem to be working. We shut it off, opened the balcony door back up, and sweat for the remainder of the night. When I talked to the front desk the next day, they looked at me like I had 3 heads when I said I turned on the a/c. They then told me the a/c units aren't turned on and that only the heater units are working on the units. Nicely appointed room and amenities like game room gym and indoor Pool were all exellent to make the stay enjoyable

Our hotel room at this resort was well worth the price. There was only one minor issue....heat! Fortunately we were not on the first floor so opening a window solved the problem easily and delightfully....we could wake to the song of birds. The reception personnel were absolutely wonderful. The room was excellent, as were the staff. My only complaint was that the 2 queen size beds, were only full size.

We stayed only one night and had our 10 year old son with us... very quiet night's sleep, comfortable bed, plenty of pillows. A nice hot shower with good water pressure. Was pleasantly surprised with the hotel as I didn't expect much for the price I was paying. I was very happy with the quality and cleanliness. Very clean room and hotel, comfortable beds, and spacious. Front desk was very polite on check-in too. Adding my list of go-to places if I am in the region again.

I've stayed here before. So this time I was't too surprised. For the most part, it's a well-kept property. However... I walked into a room that's nearly 90 degrees, in April! Someone (must be the maid) had left the heater on high all day! The heating unit was high way up the wall. And the thermostat didn't seem to work. So I called maintenance, who […] came promptly. Overall, my stay was great. However, I first had to ask for a different room that was not located in the basement, freezing cold and like staying in the catacombs. The halls smell like the carpets are offgassing. There is a strong odor in all of the halls, but not in the rooms. The outdoor patio was nice to have. The bed was large and comfortable. The […] room was very clean and the housekeepers and other staff were friendly. They called to double check that I was satisfied with my room change. I never was able to find the restaurant. I wish they had coffee in the lobby. They have a beautiful piano, but no music to play it, so the kids bang on it instead. They should do something about that bec it is disturbing to other guests in the "Library". They have a beautiful fireplace in the library, comfy chairs and tv. free internet in there or pay in your room. They had some scheduled activities including an outdoor fire pit. They have free movies to borrow. The hotel is very quiet! I never heard the rain storm or the construction machinery down the street until I opened the patio door! I could not hear the neighbors either. The pool was nice, coulda been a bit warmer, but it was ok, There is a hot tub but I don't use them, (people soup, gross!). The deluxe one bedroom units are outstanding. This is my third trip with family to the Hotel. We all love the place. Service is no frills, but who really cares on a ski vacation. 5 minutes from loon, two minutes from the best restaurants. One complaint, staff does a poor job of controlling noise from children, but the parents should be doing this. […] Avoid rooms by the cental starcase next to the elevators. In need of some renovations! The walls are very very thin! Expect to go to bed when the last person gets in from the bars.. and expect to be woken up when the first person decides to take a shower!

Decent hotel, but they have an early check out time of 11:00 am. When asked for a late check out (all but one were skiing for the day, and the one wanted to use the gym and relax while waiting for us), we were told the hotel was full and they couldn't do anything. Room was clean, with very polite staff. The location of our room wason the 2nd floor closest to the indoor pool. That was problematic. Constant chemical smell in the halls, which entered the room easily. Pool was clean, jacuzzi is old and in need up repair. Loon Mt is right down the road, very convenient location.

The stay was fairly nice. How ever there were a few things that werent as the hotel listed. For one there were no dressing rooms around the pool area. Also there were no Saunas at all even though they were listed in the additional things at the hotel. Also i found that the heater in the room was extremely hot how ever the attempt to make the room to […] a room comforting temperature was hard. The heater seemed to only work on one temperature and that was very hot!. Also the Hot tub seemed like only a few of the jets worked. The gaming room was not so good. Yes the games that were there were good games how ever they were all Down. Also the gym equipment was not very suffiecent. I wouldnt really call it a gym. The plus side was there was no need to walk outside to get anything to eat in the morning. You just had to walk through the hall ways on the 2nd floor and it brought you to one of the shopping plaza's where there were some very good restaurants. There was only one ice machine and that was on the fourth floor. I found myself walking up a lot of stairs from my room just to get a small bucket of ice. Also there was no way to keep any extra food from going out to eat cold due to there being no refrigerator. The only real complaint we had was that the room thermostat was set to the Max. Temp. when we arrived, which meant it was somewhere around 85+ degrees. Even when we shut it off completely, the heat was still on.
