the hotel was nice and clean. front desk clerk was just ok. room was good. pool and hot tube were good. location was good, close to restaurants ,close to mall. breakfast was good for free.

After a long day of meetings, it was refreshing to come back to complete rest and relaxation. My room was very nice and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Stayed with my family and didn't feel like we were piled on top of each other. Was pleasantly surprised by the continental breakfast which was so much more than coffee,OJ, and muffins. My family of 5 had a hardy breakfast, and I probably saved $40 not having to go to a restaurant.

I thought the room was very nice and the price was within the range I asked for. The room/suite was very spacious and the bed was WONDERFUL! They also provided an assortment of soft and "hard" pillows, which I have never noticed before. I appreciated that very much.

Very Nice Hotel. Got snowed in and hotel brought sandwiches in for guests that had no way to get out and eat. Will be staying here next time I am in town!!!

Desk service, breakfast, and room comfort were all top-notch. We have found that we can really count on Comfort Suites and will look for them for all future bookings. This location was very convenient to good restaurants (we liked the Corner Cafe for family eating). The drive into Kansas City for attractions there was short and simple.

I was greeted at the front desk by a very friendly clerk. She had a positive attitude and seemed genuinely interested in my visit to Kansas City. The hotel room was very clean, comfortable, and updated. The room itself, was spacious, including the bathroom. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the shower was great.

My family- 13 of us in all, in 3 suites, came for a funeral service. Our stay was very pleasant. The staff was kind and always helpful. The rooms were nice and well kept. The breakfast was better than we expected, and the girl who makes the food did a wonderful job. When we during the second week of December they had just replaced all the carpeting and upgraded the bedding! They were also doing a lot of improving on the outside of the building as well, but our stay was quiet and comfortable! We love the location and the way the rooms are set up! Very peaceful setting but close to so much!

Room was super clean. I inspected it with a UV flashlight made for that purpose. I felt secure and the continental breakfast offered a lot of selections. All the employees were friendly. Quiet neighborhood. Could slightly hear freeway traffic, but not a problem at all. What's not to like?

Nice hotel, very friendly staff, breakfast was good , beds were good . We had a handicapped room which we didnt really need but for someone who does the bathroom was huge with rails and a walk in shower w/ seat. I have 2 people in my family who could use this room and everytime i have booked a handicap room it never has the walkin shower. Plenty of […] places to eat all around the hotel within walking distance. We went to the royals game and it was straight down the hwy about a 10 to 15 min ride. Room was clean. You could see some signs that a renovation may be within 5 years but nothing to complain about. Location was very convenient to shopping, food and highway. I didn't think the price was out of bounds. Breakfast was pretty standard but they did have hot selections daily. Mattress needs to be changed out - old and sagging. Paint coming off doors and wall areas in bathroom. Great location, but hotel needs to be updated. High price for what we got.

Was told that the beds were to be queen beds, they were doubles. Mattress werehard on the sides and corners and falling to the middle. Breakfast was good and pool was nice.

I was pleasantly surprised by free continental breakfast which was hot and had a good variety of breakfast entries. The room for the most part was clean and comfortable with the exception of one comforter that had obvious stains on the opposite side. However, I would stay again.

I have never written a negative review for Expedia before. However, I was very disappointed in the Comfort Suites of Independence. The check-in procedure took much longer than necessary. The guy was nice enough, but I don't think that he had been trained well enough. The room was musty and sticky. There was visible stains on the bed spreads and sheets. […] There were no sheets in the room for the sofa bed and we didn't have enough towels. The hotel staff quickly gave us sheets and towels, but I don't believe that this should be necessary in a hotel that is a suite-only hotel. One positive is the location. We arrived early to our hotel on Saturday around 10 AM and they had our room already for us. I was surprised that we was able to go to our room getting there so early. They were very helpful and usefull in all of our needs. We stayed in a room with two full queens and a sofa bed to accomodate our family. We got there early because of attending a family […] funeral. The breakfast was good, the staff was helpful, rooms were clean and nice. The perfect location walking distance to any restaurant you could want and shopping too. The only complaint I had were the beds were'nt the most comfortable, they may need some new beds. But other than that, I would stay there again.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was great, the lady at the front desk even gave my kids a Valentines treat since we checked in on Valentines day. We have a family of 6 and were given a room that accommodated us comfortably.

We spent two nights here with our five children and it was wonderful.The hotel was new and clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of hot and cold choices. The pool and hot tub were fun.
