Pillow and parking suck but everything else was nice. Once you deal with your car it's location is great, just downtown and close to about everything. If I had not been there for business I doubt I would have cared about the parking. I would probably stay here again but I would bring my own pillow.

My wife and I stay at this hotel on our 3rd wedding anniversary. It will be a trip that we both will never forget. The hotel was in the perfect location. One block from the ski slopes and perfect walking distance to all of the nice restaurants. Our room was very clean and nice looking. It had a lot of natural wood which we both like. It was cozy and […] perfect to come back to after a long day roaming the town or skiing. The hotel also had a nice jacuzzi on the roof. It was a treat to relax in and look at the stars at night. This hotel offers a nice breakfast and some wine, cheese and crackers in the afternoon. That was one thing my wife and I made sure not to miss. This hotel really shines in the staff. They were very warm and friendly and were always eager to help. It was a pleasure to come back at the end of the day and see them smiling. Sometimes, management can be awkward but not in this case. Very down to earth and friendly. All in all, this hotel was a great value. If you're looking to stay in Aspen at a very reasonable priced hotel then look no further. The hotel is right in downtown Aspen. The staff was so VERY helpful and attentive! They had a great continental breakfast and wine and cheese in the afternoon. The hot tub is located on the roof, such a beautiful view of the ski runs and mountain. We will definitely stay again. I would rate it 10 out of 10! This place is a find. In a renovated historic building in the heart of town, it couldn't be more convenient to shops, restaurants and the slopes. The rooms are evidently privately-owned units that are rented out - ours was large, comfortable and well-appointed. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended

We really like our experience here. It's a little strange that you have to check in at a different location from where you actually stay and that there's not someone at the front desk 24 hours. For those complaining about the stairs, there's now an elevator. The only complaint we have is that it's right across the street from a bar (which isn't noticeable […] when you get there as it's underground). The bar had music pumping until late in the night, and our hotel window faced the bar. Turned on the A/C unit to drown out the noise. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The hotel was great, the room updated and nicely appointed, while it was next to the street it was very quiet, and it was very clean as well. The only real downside to this property is that it's totally inaccessible. I guess b/c it's an old building they can get away with not having an elevator from the street. We had to schlep all our stuff (and we […] had a lot of it b/c we were traveling with an infant) down two flights of stairs to check in, THEN take the elevator to our room. If you're in a wheelchair or on crutches, look elsewhere for somewhere to stay. We did learn that if you will call ahead, they can let you know where the loading zone is so you can take care of all this baggage without having to pay for parking. Yes, the parking is street parking, but it really wasn't an issue. The only issue was the loading and unloading and tackling the stairs. Awesome, awesome, awesome. This hotel is in the heart of downtown...close to shops, dining, gondola, free shuttle, and 2 awesome riverside trails for walking/biking. The room was well-appointed with wet bar & full A/V (flatscreen, DVD, DirectTV. Free light breakfast. All I need!

This is a lovely hotel with a superb location -- right on the main pedestrian plaza and across the street from the bus station and from the gondola. By Aspen standards the price is very reasonable. Have been skiing in Aspen since the late 70's. Alot has changed in the town however the location and convenience of the hotel has remained the perfect spot for a quick visit. We arrived Sat. 11-28-09 after visiting family in Denver for Thanksgiving. Aspen hosted the Women's Downhill that weekend. We watched the fireworks from the rooftop.........BEST […] view in Aspen. The hotel website tells you less than half of the story. Here's the other half that they don't seem to want you to know when you are searching for accomodations online. The hotel entrance is two flights of stairs down from the street level. To unload your car, you park in a No Parking Zone in the entrance to an alley. Then hump your bags down two flights […] of stairs to the front desk. You can't get the luggage cart upstairs to your car. From the front desk, you can then take the elevator to your room. Then at the end of your stay, the process is repeated. There was no assistance with the bags. Don't be surprised if your car is at risk for a parking ticket while you're checking in. Next, they disguise their parking situation. They have parking alright, it's a pass that lets you park on the street in a "near-by" residential neighborhood. We were so happy staying here! our room was just perfact for the two of us! very nicely done and immaculate. Everyone was very nice, it was quiet, continental breakfast was good, location is awesome. excellent location, probably the finest location in all of downtown Aspen, right on the mall. beautifully maintained. staff great. upstairs room a little noisy one night, only negative; continental breakfast adequate but not extensive. got a great deal off season. would love to stay there during ski season but suspect rates are much higher.

We liked our stay in the hotel very much, it has convinient location, very friendly and helpful staf, cleand and comfortable rooms.... we definitelly come back. Alenka & Jerry

Great value at an outstanding location. Yes, you'll hear the noise of pedestrians and buses, but you are steps away from everything that makes Aspen a vital little city. In-room attributes are limited, skip breakfast. Be sure to take some time on the roof.

All rooms have different owners (condo arrangement), so may vary in quality. Great location on the pedestrian mall, close to shops, restaurants and ski slope. Registration and elevator are down 17 steep stairs, so be prepared to carry our luggage. Hot tub on the roof was wonderful, great view of city and slope.

The hotel is in a wonderful location right in the heart of Aspen. The entrance of the hotel actually opens up to a pedestrian square - very cute. For the price, the hotel was great. The room was very simple, but nice. Parking was no big deal, we simply parked right around the corner. A community computer with internet was crucial for us, mid-trip. The Hotel is very well located, in the Center of the Mall in Aspen. There is no parking provided and you must park on the street in the surrounding neighborhoods. The room was comfortable and adequate. The problem that we encountered is that even though our room was already paid for, they asked us to leave a blank voucher opened for "incidentals". For […] example, they told us that they charge $5 for each key that is not returned. At the time of checking out (11:00 a.m.), there was nobody at the Front Desk. We wanted to return our keys and make sure that they would either give us a final statement saying that we owed nothing (we did not consume anything from the refrigerator in our room), or the return of our blank voucher (all hotels return it if you do not charge any extras on it), but there was nobody to be found at the Front Desk. Finally, we went to the "breakfast room" where we found an attendant. She was not permitted to print a statement for us or to return the voucher. She said that the manager was out "running errands". So I ask, why was it that the only person that can provide the statement or give you back your voucher (the manager) chose to leave the Hotel at precisely check out time? Perfect hotel in a perfect location. the room was large and had a unique layout. the staff was great. the continental breakfast was everything you could expect. spotlessly clwan place.

Room was excellent, clean and tastefully decorated. Great view of downtown Aspen. Rooftop jacuzzi was a plus. Very good breakfast. Good value for the money. Parking a bit of a hassle, but it is in Aspen. Will return.

Room was nice, location was good, but after driving 7 hours we found out the hotel was 'closed' for the off season...we were never notified. Had a check in envelope with keys and a phone number to check in to a vacant hotel with no services to speak of nor amenities you expect when paying for a room. Not a bad place...just make sure they're open

Bra frukostbuffé. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Underbar jacuzzi på takterrass. Gratis parkering på gatan något kvarter bort, helt klart att föredra, hittar p-plats inom några minuter. Mycket nära till liften. Gratis bussar som stannar precis utanför hotellet till de andra anläggningarna i närheten På kvällen ingår vin och ost som lite "after-ski". […] Receptionen ligger en trappa ner, men absolut inget som stör.
