excellent resort....very very happy. Good on all counts...really lovely location and beach but out of way so you have free shuttle a few times a day. Otherwise, you are "here". Can't say enough about the excellent staff.

Dining is a major component of our vacations. We look for quality and consistency. Both were non existent at Radisson. Food was terrible and service was slightly better. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Radisson Plaza Resort in Tahiti. It sits right on the beach & our ocean view suite offered us a great view of the beach, ocean & small bay. The black sand beach was very clean & great for walks & lounging. We saw some local people spear fishing so I would think that it would be good for snorkeling also. The hotel restaurant had a great buffet on Friday night along with a group of native dancers that put on a great show. All of the staff that we encountered were very nice & very helpful. We had a great room with a jacuzzi tub which was very comfortable and free wifi. Pool was emptied for maintenence and was only compensated with 2 drink tickets for the inconvience. Heard other people got free lunches and better compensations They were not consistent with compensations. We stayed there for one night during our trip to Moorea. Looks like a nice hotel, but service was poor (we had to carry our luggage by ourselves upon arrival and departure, the room/building 7 had a kitchen, but was not finished, checkout and to get a taxi took about one hour, so we missed the planned ferry to Moorea) and also the hotel has already […] past it´s glorious days (buildings look old, roomfurniture wasn´t in a good shape) . Keep in mind that this hotel is way out of the city Papeete and there is nothing around to do. So it might be worth considering another place to stay downtown Moorea and even to pay more, because you will save it on Taxi rides (app. 2.200,- XPF one way for the Taxi/2 persons). Thousands of cockraochs in room could not sleep. Do not stay at this hotel untill they take care of there pest problem.

We definetly recommend the Radisson , Papeete. We were three ladies and felt safe and secure. We had a suite for 3 and the price was right. If you can't afford to go to Tahiti, don't. It's the 3rd most expensive society in the world. The town was clean as well as the port. you pay 3000 PFC for one way from airport. if you stay other hotel it would be 2000 PFC. other than that it is great hotel-walpool room will be better.

Stayed here as a treat for the first two days of our Tahiti holiday. It is a resort with all of the services you would expect. I used trip advisor to research the hotel prior to booking so was very happy with the room and its location - it was quiet, on the top level with nice views of the ocean and away from the reception area. The pool area was great […] and as we were travelling with our 18 month old son the graduated pool was great for him to splash around in the shallows. Food was ok - we didn't dine in the restaurant due to having our son in bed at that time - got a little sick of the limited bar menu - quite a bit of deep fried stuff and just not a lot of choice. Room service was ok but of the three times we used it - they got our orders wrong in some way each time. We found the menu didn't really describe the food accurately - eg. we ordered a french cheese platter with dried fruit - we got the cheese but it was all deep fried!!! No mention of this fairly important fact on the menu. For breakfast one day I ordered the soft boiled eggs and toast - I wasn't expecting to also receive bacon, fried pork and fried mushrooms with this meal. If you are thinking of requesting a cot for a child you would be better off to take your own portacot - the cot we were given was archaeic - must have been from the 1940's and was very small - squeaked and groaned everytime our son moved. The second night we put him on a single mattress on the floor which was much better but not ideal at all. Superb service from hotel staff, lovely buildings and rooms. Rather dark bathrooms, so it was difficult to see to shave.

I could go on and on about what happened here, but this hotel didn't have a valet service to help with our bags. The restaurant is so slow and understaffed it took 45 minutes to get chips and guac and our Ocean Deluxe room looked out into trees and on the other side was the trash bins for the hotel. Radisson Tahiti could have been a nice place to stay at. The room itself was nice, comfortable and the view was good. The bed is very comfortable. The terrace is a very nice place to enjoy the view or a sunset. However, all the equipment we had in the room was not always working... They just do they are asked to, nothing more and you really feel it. Tahitian and Japanese concierge were very nice. F&B department were awful. Food was not good at all, staff was not welcoming, room service was a disaster. Order a cheese plate and get it without bread, or ask for pasta and eat them without a fork!! It was also even hard to reach someone on the phone to order. At the bar, we had to wait very very long to get the menu, then for someone to take our order, then to get our drinks... Well the place itself is not that bad, the swimming pool is beautiful at night with the lights... You can hear the sound of the waves.... Very relaxing! In the business center, we could print anything for 3 days because nobody brought paper in the printer. When we met staff from the offices, they hardly said 'hello' to us. The free shuttle to town is a good idea, because it's very hard to move from one place to another in Tahiti without it. Overall was neither good or bad. My fiancee stayed there for two nights and had a great time. The hotel's set in a great little cove with a great little black sand beach and some good snorkeling. The room, bed, shower, etc. were very nice. Our room was two levels with a very nice living space on the first floor with half bath, and the bed on the second floor. Lovely big pool with views out to sea. Comfortable rooms, each with private terrace. Shuttle twice daily to and from Pape'ete - otherwise need to hire car to explore/ go out to dinner.

Fantastic, well organised with awesome food, although the menu could have been a little more varied.The staff are very accomodating, cheerful and helpful, all my requests were met with a smile.All the tours and pickups were on time and everything ran smoothly. Great hotel if you are staying on Tahiti. The hotel is nice and removed from downtown Papeete, yet easy enough to access everything. The pool is nice. The hotel is right on the ocean, which has a swift current. I enjoyed falling asleep to waves crashing, but swam elsewhere. I would not use the concierge, Vivienne for anything. She overcharged us for […] our Hiro tour excursion. We only found this out when we were at the ferry to Moorea and looked at the tourist pamphlet with specials. We called the front desk supervisor and she explained that the concierge charges a fee!!!! Well, when we explained we thought over thirty percent was a bit high for a fee, she said she's call us back. When she did she said the tour charged them that much. That was very unbelievable. She then said we could have a late check out for our last night until 10pm at no charge. The other manager, Natalie, was very nice and took the time to show us around and made sure our stay was pleasant. All in all, I would stay here again. We were there for one week. Next time I would spend a few days here and then head to Moorea. The ferry is easy, cheap and takes luggage. That island was so mellow. The beaches and vibe were much better. We had a bad experience in one of our trips downtown when we had made a reservation and then at the time of picking us up downtown the driver refused to take us because according to him (we were not in the list), so we had to take a taxi back and pay for the trip. The room was very large and the King size bed was very comfortable. The wooden floor was not too clean as there were hair balls floating under the bed. Also, the sheets were comfotable but there were some sort of ink stains on them. The shower does not have a full shower courtain so the floor gets wet when you take showers. But the place is beautiful and the personnel that work at the front desk were delightful. We also appreciated the opportunity to check out latter than usual, at 6:30 pm (normal check out is at 11 am), even if we had to pay extra for it, as we had a late flight leaving at 10:30 pm. The hotel was nice enough and in a beautiful setting, but for the prices involved, there were TWO major disappointments. One was the bathtub. To get into it was difficult and somewhat dangerous. It was too high a climb from outside floor to tub bottom, hard for me. I am 79 but not officially all that "out of it" yet. Access should be made easier. The […] second involved a toilet accident my wife had. She cleaned up after "missing" the target commode and she put the "product" in a bag. Then we called the desk, explained our problem, and asked for either a maid or for antiseptic. Neither came, and the bag of unsavory "poop" was still on the floor next morning after breakfast. We made no complaint but for the kind of hotel you proclaim to be, this neglect soured the positive feelings we had at the outset about how lovely the rooms were and how nicely they blended in with the Tahitian surrounds. These two are big negatives and the primary reason we would not recommend the hotel to others. The two experiences are also why we canceled a return night planned for the hotel (although distance from the cruise lines and airport also contributed, along with the lack of real van service.0 So far as recommendations are concerned, we would mention the many positives but also explain why the negatives so soured us on our stay. The hotel is OK for a short stay in Papeete, or to visit the island of Tahiti, but is not (the hotel and the whole island) a tropical paradise for long stays. For this, go to Moorea (30 min by ferry), Bora-Bora or other islands. It is a great place to stay if you are in transit. Very clean, very hospitable and friendly. It is quite far from the airport. It took us about 30 minutes to get there by cab. It was a $40.00 cab ride each way. The hotel does not provide airport shuttle service. The internet service is free if you have ethernet adapters for your laptop. The Radisson Plaza Resort Tahiti was an excellent hotel and is recommended. The hotel looks a bit odd from the back, but once inside it is spacious, well looked after, has great views and lovely staff. The check in/out with a lovely lady called Queenie was excellent and she made us very welcome. The room was excellent and it was nice to be upgraded […] to a jacuzzi room. Drink prices were ok for a hotel of this calibre, but the food was well over priced. Around £27 for a buffet breakfast, £55 for a buffet dinner per person and £19 for a burger and chips was simply extortinoate. The hotel generally had a nice vibe and very friendly staff, seemed much more welcoming and more attractive than the intercontiental in Papeete when I visited that hotel. Rooms were really suites. Ours was 2-level. Excellent pool. Black sand beach. We ate 2 suppers there and they were both excellent. We had rented a car so the location was not an issue for us. Without a car the options would be very limited.

The hotel met all our expectations, with beautiful landscaped gardens in a lovely tropical setting and right on the black sand beach. All rooms had balconies and view of the sea, with the island of Moorea in the distance. The pool was amazing - huge and warm with plenty of shallow area and also large area of deep water. The hotel itself was great but our only gripe was that there was no-where to walk to nearby once you are out of the hotel grounds, as it is situated on a fairly busy main road that goes round the island. The feee shuttle bus to Papeete only went twice a day, at 8am and 2pm and you have to book this in advance as there are limited spaces. Otherwise you have to call a taxi, which was quite expensive. Also there was hardly any information at the hotel in the form of leaflets, brochures, maps or timetables on display to advise where to go or what to do or what tours are available. The Radisson Plaza pleased us in the vast majority of aspects Both in the public areas and rooms it’s spacious and attractively furnished. The gardens are very well planted and maintained and the swimming pool is large enough to allow paddlers, loungers and light recreational swimming. The morning and afternoon free shuttle, while only running twice […] a day, is helpful and drops off at an easily distinguishable point in Papeete which is central for most purposes. The staff are very polite, informed and helpful and go out of their way to assist where they can. For example, we were concerned about our luggage weight for the return journey and asked if they had bathroom scales available for us to check it. When we returned to our room later in the day, the scales were there. On our original arrival at the hotel our room wasn’t ready so by way of an apology the manager extended our checkout from 11am to 4pm. The only drawbacks are the cost of the restaurants, a consistent theme throughout Polynesia it seems, and the hotel’s distance from town.. While you can eat cheaper in town, it entails a 2000XFP taxi fare or an extremely long walk at night. That fare would certainly negate the savings eating at a roulotte or any other cheaper alternative, and there's no immediate alternative nearby. For us the pounding of the waves on the shore created a much too early wake up call, but there’s not much the hotel can do about that, and it’s a lot cheaper than an overwater bungalow! For people looking for an overnight stay before or after a cruise it’s a good bet. You can manage easily for a few nights either side too, but longer may cause the downsides to become more significant if you don’t have your own transport. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Excellent stay, reasonable prices for French Polynesian quality resort. Pool, food, rooms, and attitude of entire staff to be commended. Very helpful, informative, and cheerful multilingual staff in all areas.

The Radisson Plaza in Arue is an excellent choice. It is located in a cove on a black sand beach--probably one of the nicest beaches on Tahiti. The food was a huge disappointment, independent of the price. The restaurants perhaps cater too much to bland Western sensibilities. Great resort, right on the outskirts of Papeete. Nice black sand beach next to the Hotel. We loved being able to here the waves at night with a view of the bay from our ocean view room. My wife and I stayed here twice.
