Hotel located right on beach with beach side room. It is located a short distance from the resort area which appealed to me. This hotel is old, run down, needs a lot of cleaning and maintenance. what maintenance is done is poor quality, makes it look like a low budget hotel. It is no where near anything. It is right dab in the middle of a residential area and no other businesses are within walking distance, unless you like to walk a couple of miles. Was not what I expected […] from this chain. My stay was great and I would recommend this hotel ! It's not close to the boardwalk but it's not that far either. The resturant in the hotel food was excellent !!

Guest services ended up calling me 3 times. The 3rd time they had me as Ms. Walsh. Took a while to get drinks at the bar when we got there. Elevators were very small. The hallway into the rooms and bathroom were very tiny. I kept pushing the door into the hangers. Were only asked once if we needed guest services (beds made, fresh towels, trash emptied) […] and stayed 3 days. Stain marks on the inside of the door to the bathroom, water temperature wouldn't stay the same, almost got burnt. From my balcony, I could see into my neighbors room. This place was horrible! Had a horrible odor, pool was tiny and dirty, and the shower was old and barely worked! Overpriced and over rated, should be a 1star!!

We were told because we came in for a wedding we would probably be allowed early check-in. We were not, and the desk clerk was quite condescending and impolite when explaining this. At 3:00 we were able to check into one of our two rooms so we could quickly dress for the wedding. The hotel could spend some time training these guys on people skills/customer relations. It was a busy weekend, but that doesn't excuse their impoliteness. the hotel is okay, very basic. I think its a little odd that the check-in is in a different building as the hotel rooms. Theres also a 15 fee per day, that was charged to my card without the hotel telling me.

Nice hotel as it is right on the beach. Room 311 & 312 were not properly cleaned when we arrived - there were items from previous guests left in room. Doors to bathrooms scratched and need painting. Carpets had stains. Hotel is about 7 min drive from main boardwalk area. Service in hotel restaurant was very slow for breakfast - and it was pretty empty […] when we ate (around 10am). The hotel was great. Although it was oceanfront, it was not on the oceanfront strip, too far, could not walk to the strip. The internet service was too slow and had alot of problems with the TV. Overall great hotel, clean, staff was great and would definetely stay again.

Balcony oceanfront was very nice. Near but not on boarwalk cuts down on business and noise factor. Pool was very small but jacuzi was nice. Work out room great overlooking beach. Non smpoking a plus for us.

The only drawback was having to clean the sliding glass door of winter spray buildup so we could see.

Location of the Hotel was great, right on the beach, hotel restaurant and bar was very nice overlooking ocean. Only complaint would be a couple of my pillow cases had stains on them also the Blanket at the bottom of the bed had stains on it, didn't use those particular pillows or that blanket, but I did check the rest of the linen and it was fine.

If you are seeking a place of quiet solitude with natural beauty, this is the place for you. If you want night life with artificial lights at night - go to the main strip. This hotel was delightful. The rooms were bright, comfortable and I loved the extra-light down cover in light of the fact it was March when I visited. I was able to sleep with the […] door open thus being able to hear the ocean - and still be warm. The hotel staff went over and above to assist. They allowed for early check-in and late check-out. If you want to conduct business here, the business station is very dated and slow and at times - non-working, so not for you if you need to conduct business. If you want to enjoy a natural view of the ocean without the boardwalk and people-watching, the Wyndam is for you. I could see the moonlight reflecting off of the water at night. I had to look out to see if there was a light on the top of the building pointing out - b/c it was so beautifully lit up - but it was all natural. A very calming time to rest and relax. Great hotel...on the beach but away from the business of the boardwalk! Rooms were comfy and clean!

The bathroom sink was cracked, the shower head was broken and when you showered the water went eveywhere. I know I got a good rate for this room but I doubt I would stay there again.

This was the cleanest pet-friendly hotel we have ever stayed in. Check in was simple and fast. They did not know we had a small dog with us because we booked through hotels.com so we had an extra $25 per night pet fee that we thought had been included in the price and also thought it was refundable if no damages incurred but actully it was NON REFUNDABLE […] and you are charged more if any damages happen! Otherwise the beds and pillows were the best I have ever slept on, everyone was very friendly seemed happy to help in any way possible. The hotel is just off the beaten path but close enough to the action of the boardwalk. There are beautiful views from the balcony and the amenities that are offered are top notch!

This hotel is was very disaapointing. First, the plumbing in the hotel room was broke. Second, the AC and Heat worked whenever it felt like working. The maintenance team was slow or maybe off that day. The thermostat in the indoor pool was broke. They told me for a whole week that someone will be out to fix it or the maintenance was still working on […] it. Lastly, at checkout the attendant told me there was a $25 pet fee per day. I told him nobody told me that and I asked specifically the hotel.com rep and the wyndhamm rep. The hotel manager came up and rudely interrupted my conversation and said mamm you signed a form agreeing to this pet charge. I told her I signed nothing of the sort at check in. I said please show me the paper. They could not find it. I said I knew you did not find it because I never signed it. I told them don't think about charging my credit card when I leave this hotel right now. They assured me that they had waived the pet charges for my stay. I was so happy to bring my German Shepherd on our family vacation the week after Christmas 2011. The Wyndham was a nice place to stay. It was pretty cool to see other families there with dogs, too. This hotel has a nice location, but it showing its age. The room was quite small, especially with two double beds. I felt like I was in a closet. The staff is friendly and very accommodating, the room is clean, it is one the beach...those things for the average vacationing family will be fine. My reservations are mainly because I am a business traveler and I have a major problem with a practice common in the hotel industry. First, if you are a business traveler and you rely on a strong, fast […] wifi connection without having to go out and look for a starbucks YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY HERE. My front page is my facebook page took 5 MINUTES TO LOAD! I had to contact my employers and inform them that my report from the field would need to wait until I returned. They were not pleased. Forget about uploading video and pictures. The second big problem is industry wide, and unless we fight it as we fight bank surcharges, they will continue to pull this stuff. This was just the most horrible example that I have seen in a while. For each day of your stay they can charge up to $15 for "incidentals." While the hotel service and decor is acceptable, it is not what I expected from the Wyndham name. While there is a restaurant on the premesis there are no other services or places to eat nearby. While the location was convenient their front desk is under staffed, which made initial check in an ordeal. The actual hotel room was clean but very uncomfortable. With all the hotels in the area I would suggest staying at another.

Upgraded first night to a king and a pull out sofa bed without linens. We declined the upgrade which we had not asked for. On the third night we saw a mouse in our room so they moved us again. This room had a shower with very poor water pressure and in general the hotel is very run down.

the stay was great. the staff was very professional and the room was great. Very comfy beds and pillows to die for. Very cozy and quiet! There was a wedding party within the hotel and all was still quiet and well maintained. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay again myself.

When I arrived we were given a ocena view room that was more than I expected after reading the negative comments. The staff was great, the room was clean, and the view was amazing. I can't wait to return with my family. Keep up the good work! A++

Catching the sunrise from my 9th floor ocean front room was the greatest. My wife and daughter will never forget it. Pet friendly, but be aware they tack on a $25 pet fee last minute. I would not come back to this hotel. It was my birthday and I was not happy at all. When we came in the freezer was full of food and drinks. It was real nasty. There was a half of bathroom tissue when we got in Friday night. Saturday we had to call the front desk at 4pm to ask to get our room clean. Most of the time a maid come and clean your room about […] 11 or 12. We were gone all morning, they had time. We should not have to ask to get clean sheets or to more towel. The close proximity to the beach was especially nice with a large patio right outside the motel with lounge chairs, outdoor eating off the restaurant & balcony off your room for ocean view. The outdoor pool was nice but the indoor pool was small. The motel could use some remodeling, but was a good value.

Overall great stay; I was upgraded to a beachfront room without me requesting it. The staff was pleasent and the room was in good shape. If you are interested in seeing the sunrise or the moon reflecting off of the ocean, I highly recommend getting away from the boardwalk, and this hotel provides just that. A very peaceful trip.
