We stayed here for one week in April and it was very comfortable and pleasant stay. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was alright, although it was often ants running around the buffet and in the juices. Otherwise we didn't have any problems at all and the whole stay was very relaxing and nice. We rented a really good brand new scooter one […] day and even got the gas free. The room was very dark but VERY BIG ! and the bad was KING KING size. Good hotel for that money, the stuff was very kind.

Hotel correct. Rooms quite big. Quite good for 1 night. Less than 10 min drive from Mae Nam pier. Friendly staff. Breakfast is terrible though.

"Good deal for one night"

We stayed here one night while waiting for transport to another island the next day. It's a rather dark hotel inside, a lot of concrete. But it is clean. Hotels in Thailand are not like hotels in the US. So it's difficult to judge comfort based on my usual experiences. It was a good price for a one night stay. I wouldn't stay longer. There is a bath […] and shower, which is nice. And the fixtures are nice. The staff was very friendly. They do serve breakfast on the roof. It was raining while we were there, but otherwise would be pretty. The breakfast includes fruit, juice, coffee. I had the fried rice, I thought it would be safer than the fried eggs my husband had. At the first time I was a little worried about my hotel choosed, because it looks away from everywhere, but I was wrong. Amarin Victoria Resort is very good located, because you do not need more than 10 minutes (walking time) to go to Mae Nam beach, which is a very quite, if you want a relaxed time. If you want to enjoy a good night in a restaurant […] or pub, visit some shopping stores or are you looking for a nice foot massage, the Chaweng beach is the palce. You can go there by taxi (THB 400) or by red buses (THB 50 in the day or THB 100 at night) and you need less than 30 minutes. One of the best things in Koh Samui was the people and specialy the kindly employees of Amarin Victoria Resort, who always tried to do the best effort to help me in get a very good time there. They helped me to get a very good and cheap tour to visit the most inportant palces of Koh Samui, as Big Buddha, Grand Father's rock, Namuan Waterfall and the Elephant trecking. Thanks to Lyn , the Manageress of Amarin Victoria Resort for her help in get the best moments in her hotel and also in Koh Samui. A l'arrivée grosse peur car la rue où est situé l'hôtel est passagère et les fils électriques n'engagent rien de bon. Mais une fois arrivés dans le hall c'est un autre monde avec de l'espace, du design et un accueil chaleureux. les chambres sont spacieuses, superbement aménagées, très propres. Le personnel est super ! All is very clean and the personnel is very warm and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel is very old and most of it should be refreshed. Personnally, I had problem the first day with the safe lock (old designs to be replaced, I advise you not to use it, risk is if you have a problem while you need to catch your plane...). Then, the remote command of the […] AC collapsed on the 2nd day. AC is very long to deliver fresh and cool down the room. In my room, whatever I did, it was not possible to have a shower without getting water in the whole bathroom (ergonomics & layout issue) thus systematically having to sponge water with towels. I also discovered that water in the fridge was charged 50B per mini-bottle while I had daily 2 new same bottles for free in all the other hotels I visited during my roundtrip. I didn't know what to expect when coming to this hotel, it was my first time in Thailand. The Taxi ride from the airport (at koh Samui) took approx 20 minutes. We had to carry our own bags which was fine. I prefer to handle my own luggage. The staff was all smiles at all times and in general very helpful. The rooms were very clean, and ok standard. […] We didn't spend much time in the room anyway. The only downside was that the shower tended to flood the bathroom floor. Maenam beach was nearby (500 m walk maybe). I loved the beach, very peaceful, not a lot of people. If you want to go partying you shouldn't stay here though, its a quiet part of the island. A lot more going on in Chaweng, which is a 25 minute taxi-ride away. For a calm, romantic, and affordable vacation though this hotel is value for money.
