This is a lot more basic that any of the pictures would tell. rooms are tiny and some of the furniture was even damaged... won't trick me again....

Great value for money and a great location just opposite Central Station. Also has a heavily discounted rate for the Q Park multi-storey car park round the corner at Waterloo Street

Can't fault this hotel. Very central. Staff are helpful. The Indian is divine!

I stayed for one night in a single room in the hotel, as I had a night out with friends. The carpets in the hallway on my floor were ragged and not properly fixed down at the joins. The room was simply furnished, but not the cleanest - marks on the wall and stains on the carpet. There was also a large crack on one of the walls. My main gripe with the […] hotel was that when I went to have a shower in the morning, there was no hot water. I called down to reception who advised me to wait for 10-15 mins and try again. Still no hot water. I was then told they could give me a different room. I asked them to ensure that this had hot water before I moved. They said it did - it didn't. Cue a very cold an uncomfortable shower. When I checked out, the receptionist told me that one of the boilers had scorch marks around it and had been turned off. Fab location but in dire need of maintenance splits in the worn corridor carpet. Room 405 broken window, shower screen, bathroom door would not close. Cold water for shower. But it was only for one night and the bed was comfy!

I have been using the hotel regular due to work,meetings travel etc and find the hotel very handy,clean and quiet how ever my last stay wasn't as enjoyable and if it was my first time I wouldn't be coming again, the room was very noisy, the curtains wouldn't fully close and the bathroom was like being in a sauna. This is a very central hotel beside Glasgow's Central Station. There is also parking close by and plenty of restaurants to choose from. This was my first stay in this hotel and I was very happy with the check in and check out process, the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. This hotel is very convenient to Central railway station and city centre attractions including local restaurants. Fine for one night but the double room I had was very small with no chairs and limited room to hang clothes of put baggage. Only shelves around room for placing items and absolute minimum space to squeeze around the bed. Easy location to find. Centrally placed. Hotel clean and serviceable, no real major problems. Slightly stuffy, but welcome in the cold weather.

If you're travelling by train, this hotel is in a great location - right across the street. It was an easy walk to central Glasgow, shops, George Square, etc. When we asked to have our room changed due to proximity to a noisy elevator (we were on the 3rd floor), the staff did it quickly and with a smile. Our first room was dirty, with hair in the bathroom floor, sick without drainage, cigarette in the trash and still an unclean spoon, with some coffee. But, on the day after we could change to a good room that doesn't have trouble. Addtionally, we were invited to a dinner in hotel's restaurant by the incovenience.

The website photos flatter this hotel - it is competent but basic. Rooms are fitted out cheaply - veneer peeling off chipboard, carpet worn, brutal lighting. Optional buffet breakfast is basic - I wouldn't bother - much better available nearby. I'll look elsewhere next time

Probably the worst hotel I have stayed in for 25 years, and that includes many in eastern europe. If you have to stay here avoid the first floor as the smell from the curry buffet permeaets the rooms above. The supplementary lights did not work and the staff could not help. The plug for the bath was missing. The room was next to the lift and so we were […] kept awake with the noise coming through the inadequately insulated walls. The neighbouring guest woke us up at 3.00pm and we could smell cigarette smoke coming through the gaps in the (dented) door - they were clearly smoking in the corridor whilst conducting loud telephone conversations and worst of all the noise from the street was unbearable- traffic and drunks. Great value for money!!! We stayed for a couple of days and I'm glad I chose this hotel for our Glasgow trip. Just across the Glasgow Central Station and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained and I highly recommend this place to anyone who is planning to visit Glasgow!

wifi was not working. staff was very helpful.

Absolutly fantastic, right outside central station. Clean and freindly and a shower you don't have to climb over the bath to get in! Really comfortable room. Breakfast good and good facilities. Well recommended

This is a budget hotel. It was ok for the price, but don't think you are getting a great deal. There were weird stains on the bedding and our shower had no nozzle and just poured water out of a pipe. These are all things we could have complained about, but for a two night stay and a busy sightseeing agenda, it didn't seem worth it to take the time. […] There is also a bar with a patio out back, which was right below our window. Pretty noisy. We're also pretty sure they ripped us off on the parking, but had to go to the airport and couldn't go back. overall was very pleased with hotel, only main point to raise with room was wot looked like burn marks in the bath that looked quite unsightly, and also very noisy out the back in the morning with what sounded like beer deliveries and bottle pickups. Hotel was plaeasant, staff very helpful and was in a convenient location.

The hotel looks good on the pictures but is not so good inside. Our room smelled of curry, strong old curry. The breakfast was expensive and very dissapointing.

when one walks in the place looks like a 4 star hotel, then you go on the elevator to the 4 floor an as you step out of the elevator the carpet is ripped, rooms are small, toilet to small and i'm only 5feet 8inches, tall and i thing every thing is to compact, i know its an old building on the outside but that should not prevent you from upgrading the […] inside other than that WiFi was good, but where the heck can one park, had to pay for parking plus had to walk a good par 5 to the parking lot, need to improvements there Roger อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Hotel landing was dirty and did not appear to hav bee cleaned for some time. Damaged carpets around lift were also a potential hazard Bathroom had not been cleaed very well as evidence of previous visitors still present. THe accomodation looked tired and in need of upgrading

The first time we stayed in this hotel we loved it, the room service was great, the wi-fi accessible from our room, the staff pleasant, the food lovely and the room in tip top condition. This second time we stayed at this hotel we didn't get the same level of standard, in fact one area of unexpected fail cropped up in such a way we were pretty glad […] the TV was low on the volume. Don't get us wrong, we love a good show when we see one but had we had a child staying with us in the room, and we let the little fella flick through the channels, we would have had a lot of explaining to do about what a man was doing to a woman. Yep, the porn channel was readily available without having to enter a pin number or phone reception! So, parents, guard that button changer with your life and be careful not to venture too far from BBC1... On another note regarding the TV, in the room we stayed in we had to turn on the lights above the TV in order to power on the TV at the same time... who the hell wired the electrical distribution so that the light switch doubled up as the TV power switch? I'm no expert but I think that may be a hazard. Oh and the wall bracket for the TV was on it's last legs, any more give and that thing is going to fall off the wall! Room Service is still advertised here on Hotels.com but upon making a request to reception for a Room Service menu we were told that Room Service was no longer available. Another minus point, at least for the sake of false advertising and disappointment. Another minus point was that “wi-fi is complimentary” but was unable to connect to this despite having full signal and a lot of personal IT expertise. Couldn't be bothered phoning reception to ask about this, so lets leave this is a neutral hiccup. “Designer” toiletries have been advertised here on Hotels.com yet, to our discovery, there were none. This hotel is extremely convenient for Central Station in Glasgow. It is above an Indian Restaurant, "Bombay Blues", which serves a buffet dinner of no great distinction, but good value. The hotel is a little grubby. There was no soap in the shower soap dispenser. The staff (2 young girls) at the weekend are left to fend for themselves and could not […] help in getting the power to come on in the room I had booked. TV reception is poor, so take a book. The area is quite lively at night and does not quieten down until late. The noise pollution is not excessive and did not prevent me from sleeping. This hotel is good value for its location. Excellent hotel for connections with Glasgow Central Rail station. Friendly efficient staff, variety of restaurant options close by.

Electricity not working upon arrival; that was fixed after the second person was called (fuse blown). I stayed at the Artto Hotel Hope Street Glasgow for one night only, first impressions were gret, lovely bar/restuarant , lovley reception, room was a great sioze huge bed, very clean, lovley new furniture, only downfall to mys hort stay was no hot water? not sure if you have to be up first thing but all modern appliances, tea and coffee facilities great, […] would definatly stay there again soon and recommend to all my family and friends. Stayed there a couple of times recently. Rooms are generally clean and modern. Can be very noisy as opposite the train station and there are a lot of pubs in the area - last time I was woken by a bus warming its engine outside my room at 05:30. The curtains don't fit the window recess, leaving a lot of light around the edge and, via the mirror, a direct […] line of site from half the room to the station concourse (and back). TV is odd - about 20 channels, but seems to be ITV2 about eight times and no BBC2 - happened in both rooms. There's WiFi available in the bar and you can pick it up in some of the rooms, but not all, although it's only advertised for the bar. Look no further. This ticks all the boxes. Could not be more central. Clean, standard accommodation at an excellent price if you don't want the frills.

hotel appeared to be clean and tidy however only downfall was the bed, hardly slept all night as it ws extremely creaky and very very hard.
