Excellent & beautiful hotel. Would definitely stay again.

anybody should take a chance and stay one night...paricular the late view room. it is great hotel and great view!

I only stayed 1 night at this luxury hotel, I haven't done much or used all the hotel facilities to detail my experience. However, one thing i know is that i'm defiantly coming back to the same hotel if i ever visit Luzern again.

Beautiful, luxury hotel. After being in the mountains of Switzerland it was a bit of a shock to be in such accomodations. Be aware that a $50 franc fee was added on on top of the full fee paid in advance, and there is a $35 parking fee. They stated that Hotels.com only allow you to register as an individual and not as a couple which I did not recall. […] They also have a very attentive staff which makes me uncomfortable because we never know how much tip is expected. We tipped the valet five francs, but with their economy that is nothing. If you are on a budget beware. the Hotel Grand National in Lucerne, Switzerland is just beautiful. It sits right ON the banks of Lake Lucerne, with a lovely walking path along the bank into town. The location is perfect. My partner and I booked our hotel through the hotels.com website and when we arrived at the hotel we were informed that the room we booked would be "tight" for the 2 of us. They then informed us it would be an additional cost for a deluxe room and we ended up paying way over what we were expecting to pay to stay in this hotel. The room was lovely, with […] a view of the lake, but no balcony like we originally booked through the website. The room was enormous....I actually think we had way too much space, which made me feel like we were up sold here for no reason. We also were not informed until we left that our breakfast was included. The hotel overall was lovely and location could not be beat. For 5 stars though, they were NOT accommodating. For instance, The train station was a 15 minute walk, about a 5 minute drive at best and the hotel had several cars of there own. Luzern was our first stop in Switzerland. We chose this hotel because it could accommodate 3 people/room and with a 2 night stay had a discount on hotels.com. We were more than pleased. The hotel staff was fabulous, friendly and knowledgeable. The room for 3 was spacious - way more so than most European hotels. The location was great. Pricey but worth it. Great location, easy walking distance (5-10min) from train station. excellent service especially Chris on the night shift. 5 star amenities

Beautiful hotel in very convenient location. Nicely decorated rooms without a modern twist which we appreciated. Only downside was our check-in experience having a receptionist with an attitude. Otherwise, lovely hotel with lovely view and rooms.

We arrived in Zurich from JFK and chose to immediately take the train to Lucerne for our first night in Switzerland. Our flight was so early we weren't sure if we could check in so early but the girl at the front desk said they would get our room ready right away and we could have coffee in the bar while we waited. Our room was very spacious with a […] seating area and a second seating area with a small table overlooking the lake which they put a fresh fruit plate on for us. We also chose this hotel because of the high rating and because they have a pool for my son. The pool wasn't too cold but could have been a bit warmer. The facilities were very nice. The view was amazing from our room. We had 2 sets of doors we could open. The room was warm so we had the doors open most of the time. I could see in the summer where these rooms could be quite loud from the outdoor seating below. But I would be okay with that for the view. I wish we could have stayed longer. We were there on Sunday and most stores were closed. We walked around quite a bit that evening and left the next morning for Interlaken by train. The hotel is amazing, and with alot of history and architecture! 4 resurants to choose from if you decide to dine in, an excellent hotel bar with a bartender who knows his job very well! The room was incredible, and the comfort of the beds were excellent, we felt like we were sleeping on cotton! Very quiet, extremely clean, and the location on the lake […] front with the mountains across the lake is breathraking! I do not see how anyone could be disappointed with this hotel. It is luxurious and beautiful! We will stay again, if we are lucky enough to visit Lucerne again! It is 10 min walk from train sation, and 5 min from old town. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The hotel is under going renovation of some of the rooms. Ours was comfortable, not overly large, but did have a balcony looking towards the lake. Only complaint was the walls transmitted sound easily, so privacy was an issue.

Very friendly and attentive staff. We were made to feel very welcome and every question or request was eagerly attended and answered. My wife wanted to move in!

The Grand National is a great hotel. The staff is as attentive as anywhere you will stay. When we arrived our room was upgraded to a huge suite with a view of the lake. Great location.

We arrived at The Grand National after a short walk from the railway station to be greeted with a welcoming smile and a glass of sparkling wine. Our room was large and comfortable and although directly above reception was quiet. The bathroom was clean and adequately equipped with toiletries. The hotel appeared to be quiet and we were able to use the […] swimming pool on a couple of occasions on our own. The staff were helpful and were happy to help out with train times for me. breathtaking view from our balcony; our room and its furnishings were fit for a queen, very helpful staff....one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in...

Very nice, well-maintained rooms with large bathrooms. Lake view rooms are amazing, but city view rooms provide excellent value for the money

역에서 호수 건너편으로 바라보이긴 하지만 짐과 가족을 데리고 걷기엔 애매한 위치였습니다. 1번, 7번, 8번 많은 버스가 호텔 근처로 가더군요.. 처음엔 몰라서 걸었지만... 짧은 2정거장만 가면 됩니다... 스위스 호텔은 매우 비싸서 등급이 무의미 할 정도였으나 그랜드 호텔은 매우 훌륭한 호텔로 이해가 됩니다. 객실 관리나 시설 인터레이어 등이 신혼여행이 묵기엔 굉장히 어울리는 호텔로 추천 드립니다. 대리석에 샹데리아에 멎진 벽지와 옷장 그리고 욕실이 매우 훌륭했습니다. 다만 커피포트가 없고 카운터로 부탁하면 뜨거운 물을 갖다 준다는게 익숙치 않은 저희에겐 어색했습니다. 서비스로 주는 과일과 쵸콜릿 등도 감사했고 더욱이 […] 동절기라 그런지 아이때문인지 무료 업그레이드를 해줘서 방도 한등급 위로 사용했습니다, 영어가 안되서 소통에 어렵긴 했으니 매우 친철한 직원들이었고 분위기 측면에서 최고였습니다. 배낭여행객이 아닌 신혼여행과 같이 분위기를 느끼고 싶은 경우네 호수를 바라다보는 방으로 추천드립니다. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

für ein 5 Sterne: zerrissen Couch, lauten Raum über der Theke. Geschäfts-oder Firmenwert, aber es ist kein 5 Sterne Hotel. Für die Nachteile picine Innenraum ist sehr gut. Dies ist nicht das beste Bild der Hotellerie in der Schweiz

Højt niveau på alle områder. Fik tilbudt opgradering til meget rimelig pris. Fantastisk udsigt over sø over promenade. Gode resturanter og bar. Kan anbefales.

Mycket vænlig och trevlig atmosfær med perfekt service, och personalen alltid till hands, men inte påtrængande. Rent, snyggt och prydligt.
