I'm cheap, and I stay at cheap hotels so I've seen some bad ones and I've seen a lot of clean older hotels. This is an older hotel that is pretty run down. The halls smelled like urine. The room itself was decent. The bed was hard. I didn't try the breakfast, but it looked fairly simple, probably cereal, yogurt, & donuts. If I had not already paid for this room before we got there, I would have walked out. There was a dark ring in the tub and it smelled horrible throughout the building. There were ants all over the "dining" area. This was the worst room I have ever stayed in especially for the money.

The room was as shown in the picture. But the room and the extras was below par. Our initial plan was when we checked in to change our room from smoking to non-smoking. But when we got there, there was a sign that said the motel was full. The room looked clean, but the next morning my friends clothes smelled like cigarette smoke, and it seems the sheets […] were not cleaned after the previous guest had stayed. The free breakfast was mediocre at best. The coffee was 3 hrs old, and the orange juice was watered down way too much, and the selection was very poor. First off this place is an absolute dump. If you are a migrant worker and need a place to stay, this is your spot. If you are a family passing through town, steer clear. Room was clean and tidy, bed comfortable. The hotel is old and there is still a distinct smell of smoke when walking through the hallways.

York is fulll these 2 weeks a year. This is not my favorite motel to stay but it was better than the last time we stayed there. It was cleaner. It is nice to have breakfast included. Yogurt and fresh bananas saved a carb filled breakfast. I would stay there again, it is fair for the price.

This hotel I would not recommend unless u are very tired from a long drive or flight and just want to go to sleep, it had a wiered smell to the place and also the elevator stunk as well.. Over all NO BUENO!!!

The pictures on the hotels.com website don't match the condition of this hotel. It was very run down and in desperate need of remodeling. The back entrance where you should need to use your card to get in was not locked or would even latch. So I didn't feel safe as anyone could walk in off the street. yuck. very low-end property. rooms have the old fashioned dirty bedspreads and a pilly old blanket. don't recommend even for budget travelers. there are a couple other economy properties within a 2-block radios that you should look at instead.

Hotel it self was fine for the time sent in it. Front Desk Clerk left a lot to be desired My stay was pre paid on hotels.com he tried to charge be double on what I paid then said my CC had been declined which it had not. Took over 20 mins to get him to understand this.

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly conversation-initiating and attentive staff behind the desk. Breakfast could have been a bit better, but would stay again regardless.

The hotel is very convenient to many shopping centers and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful and check-in & out only took a few minutes.The room was not fancy but it was comfortable.

When I entered the lobby, one of the managers had his shoes and socks off while sitting in the lobby. It was not a pretty sight! Also, there were young children in the hallway without their parents. One of them was still in diapers.

Overall our stay at the York Super 8 was very good and we plan to stay there during the yearly shows. Great place to stay and is within easy driving to the farigrounds.

The room walls were dirty. (People smoke and then when there is moisture it creates dirty drip residue down the walls in places.) The carpet in the hallway also looked dirty. They painted the ceiling but then failed to cut in around the edges so you had a ring of darker, older paint around the edges.

make sure you wear socks when walking in your hotel room because your feet will turn black so disgusting. besides that everything else seem to be clean. bathroom tub was kind of yucky.

There are many little details needing attention in this place, for example, one of the stairwells had soil on one step for the 4 days I used it. Breakfast was a very limited affair. So much so I had to go elsewhere for a decent breakfast. Go elsewhere is my suggestion.

Best customer service, decent hotel for the price and conveniently located. 1 minute to get onto hwy Rt 83. However, this is not as good as other Super 8 hotels I have stayed in past. I was first disappointed that I had booked a two bedroom room and was given a one bedroom room for me and my daughter. The first room offered stunk like must and body odor. I was told if I wanted two bed I'd have to pay more, while when I booked I was told they were the same price! I requested a new room. I can't say enough how disgusting this hotel was. I tried to ignore the broken air conditioners everywhere that actually said RIP on them with the date they broke but once I got into the actual room, I couldn't ignore it anymore. First there was hair all over the sink. Like someone had shaved and no one bothered to even give it a quick wipe down. Then […] I pulled down the bedspread and there was hair on the pillow. I would say that maybe the maid had taken a nap, but that would imply that someone had actually been in the room attempting to clean it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't spend much time in the room but we found it to be clean and comfortable. The room contained a microwave, small refrigerator and hairdryer. It is located near many restaurants and shops. It is also very convenient to Interstate 83.
