I stayed there because conference was held there. The quality of the food and the service was wonderful. The quality of the room, bed, pillows and amenaties were not good. I wanted to surprise my new bride with a trip to Atlantic City in an effort to give her a well-deserved honeymoon within the confines of our modest finances. We are from Virginia, I was in food service for 15 years and a hospitality manager at a resort as well so you're getting this from someone who is well versed in the industry and know a thing or […] two about SOUTHERN hospitality. Upon our VERY late arrival the bellman offered to valet our vehicle. BTW: If it's cold outside, fork over the cash folks - the walk from the parking lot to the front desk (esp. late at night) is torture. The bellman was prompt, energetic and - to my surprise – extremely very kind in regards to the stereotypical experiences I’ve encountered first hand with residents of this state when visiting MY resort. The associate at the front desk was just as nice and executed a level of customer service more than appropriate for his position making small talk and welcoming us to the resort. We got our room key, or what all three of us (Front Desk Clerk, Wife and myself) thought was our room key and began the long journey to our room. When I mean long, I mean the walk from the parking lot to the front desk was just a sneak peek at the journey ahead. For the following situation, be kind in your interpretation b/c my wife and I jabber a lot and it tends to disrupt people's trains of thought. Well we get to the room that we thought was ours and the key won't work. Sidebar - now that I’m no longer in hospitality, I work as a PC Analyst and have built several computers, so working a magnetic key lock shouldn't be an issue. Since the room was already occupied by a guest, It was a bit of a shock when the door began to open on its own. Thankfully I kept my startled yelp to a minimum and after a quick chuckle with the occupant, we headed back downstairs. The distance from Atlantic City was just a short drive. But the actual location of the hotel was a little out of the way from places to dine. The hotel was built in 1910 (if I remember correctly) and it's apparent that it's an old hotel with renovations but it is definitely a very nice hotel/resort. We wanted to find a nice, clean place near Atlantic City and we were pleasantly surprised during our stay at The Seaview. The resort maintains its beautiful historical presence while having all the comfort of modern amenities. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and bright. There is a game room for the kids, a restaurant […] and a separate bar for the adults. Of course, there is the golf course right across the road and an Elizabeth Arden Spa nearby. My wife and I were looking for an anniversary weekend getaway. Finally decided that Atlantic City might be fun. We are not gamblers, but thought we would be able to get a few nice meals and maybe catch a show. Unfortunately, I waited until the last minute (as usual my wife would say...), so none of the marketed casino hotel deals were available. (Found […] out later that President's Day weekend is one of their busier weekends.) Found the Seaview Resort and it looked very nice online. It even had a golf course which caught my attention! It turned out to be the perfect choice! It is an older property, but it has been mostly redone. It's kind of like a a very large B&B that has been updated to a "retro-chic" kind of look. Yet, it still maintained it's character. The nice thing is that it's only about a 10-15 drive to the casinos. We basically got the best of all worlds. We spent one at the resort; I played a chilly round of golf, while my wife spent the day at the spa on the neighboring property. We spent another day driving around and going to a casino for dinner. this hotel was in very good condition for being close to a hundred years old.the staff was very nice,we got back from the casinos late after they locked up the game room and wanted to play pool so the guy at the front desk got it open for us.the indoor pool was really clean and nice,and the rooms were clean.only bad things about the place is its like […] a 5-10 min walk from the parking lot to rooms.and hotels.com and the front desk (at check in) failed to tell me that they were going to put 400 dollars on hold in my account.i deff recomend this hotel. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The Seaview is a wonderful resort with amazing amenities, a recreation center (ping pong, pool, air hockey, etc. @ no extra cost. Our room was lovely with very comfy mattress, pillows and high thread count linens.

Hotel states it is a resort and spa. Spa is next door at the Marriott. Rude staff, no free coffee and limited food service with only the bar and grill available. Indoor pool was the best thing about the hotel. Only breakfast option without leaving hotel was the $18 buffet. ($4.00 for just a cup of coffee.) Very disappointed.

This was a treat. Good size room, comfortable bed, and good locale. We had just stayed a night at a suite at Trump Plaza, but I liked this room better. The resort has been around for over 100 yrs. it gives you the feeling of its history and class but with modern amenities. Very satisfied.... Plan on returning very soon and getting a suite here.

We were truly happy with this last minute booking. In fact, we are going back this summer for a week. Highly recommend this, especially for the family.

My daughter and I came up to N.J. to see a concert at Boardwalk Hall for her birthday. The Seaview was just minutes away from Atlantic City, but away from the crowds and chaos.

For the price the accommodations were excellent. With a little updating this hotel has the potential to be a luxury resort once again.

Good price for NYE. The staff was great. Rooms could use a little updating. Walls were thin too-We could hear everything in the next room. Free Shuttle 7:30 - 2:30 NYE night was great.

Hotel needs Improvment

I stayed overnight for business and found an excellent rate here. The rooms were well appointed and extremely comfortable. I now know where I'll be staying anytime I'm in the area.

Want hotel away from AC yet close enough to be able to drive over for entertainment.. this is the perfect place. Its not a chain hotel.. even better. A historic hotel with good service in a great location.

Hotel has a feel of an era gone by. Great lodging at a great price 10 minutes outside AC. Would highly recommend and stay there again. Food was also great and staff very nice.

We were staying here overnight and the hotel itself was nice but it was an old hotel and you can tell that. The bathroom didnt have working lights that were over the shower and the floor is title and was very cold. Also the room smelled like old wood. The property was very nice though.

We have stayed here twice so far and both times we were extremely pleased! The staff makes us feel very welcomed, the room is perfect and the food is wonderful!

My stay at The Seaview Resort & Spa was over the New Years Eve weekend. I chose the hotel for it's proximity to Atlantic City and the SPA advertised by Elizabeth Arden. The first impresion upon checking was a completely unattentive staff, not at all proactive in assisting w/ luggage, or even the checking in process. During dinner Dec-30th, the bar/restaurant […] was without a server and bus-person, so imagine the serice quality. Although the hotel apologized, patience prevailed if you wished to enjoy dinner. I opted for the buffet (which I have to say to food was excellent) however had to dine in the bar, as seating was limited in the dining room. The only other management issue (shared with serveral other guests) was the Starbucks run through the hotel's gift shop. At 8am there was no coffee. The following day the gift shop was closed at 10am (for what reason....?) but opened 10 mins later. The prson working the counter had her People Magazine and Jacket on the counter so priorities might not have been in order. In terms of the hotel itself, I could use updating throughout. This hotel is a great find. The history of the site alone makes you ask for more. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The service staff was very friendly. Do not miss the breakfast.

What we liked about the hotel was that service was good. Very friendly people, also we had water pipe broken in our room but they came in 2 min and fixed it. Luxury is an understatement. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at this resort. Carly the front desk attendant was so helpful and cheerful. She made you feel like you were right at home. The pool was clean. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud. Everything was amazing. I will definitely be coming back.

The hotel is old and had a moldy smell with several drafts from the windows. The heating vent system was harsh on the nasal passage, especially if you have a sensitive respiratory status. One good thing is that the linen/bedding were clean. Will plan stay in Atlantic city next time.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time staying at SeaView. The staff was welcoming and very nice about letting us specify which room we wanted. Room was extremely clean and spacious, and the King Bed was very comfortable. It's a 15-20 min drive into Atlantic City, but we wanted to be in a quieter area so that was fine. There isn't much around the hotel […] (drug store, etc.) so you would need to drive if you forget anything or see if they have it in the gift shop. My only disappointment was that they didn't have complimentary coffee in the lobby, and that there was only 1 packet of non-decaf coffee in the room, but I'm sure they would bring you more if you asked. The staff was extremely professional, exactly what you'd expect from a resort hotel, but the prices were very reasonable. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The valet attendant never failed to call us by name.
