"BUGS BED DIRTY"
NICE PRICE BUT A NIGHTMARE WHEN YOU COME INTO THE ROOM OR JUST START TO GET UP THE STAIRS. All the carpets need to be changed. No room cleaning. They just empty the trash.
Stay was good...chinatown hotel is a good place to explore the sights of chicago...it's close to the subway line and is convenient to get to from the O'Hare airport....however...the room was just okay...the AC didn't work and the room always had a funky smell because there were smoking dispensers all down the hall...sometimes the towels smelled too...the […] good part about this hotel is that it is close to the subway..but other then that if you want to stay in a more luxurious hotel, I would not recommend staying at the chinatown hotel..good to sleep in then leave the next morning to explore..... อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"WOW! This will teach me to read reviews"
This is just a place for location and nothing else! The bed frames were falling apart and broken, the night stand was dismantled, and the desk was just as bad. Only stay at this hotel if you need it for location, otherwise spend the extra money or stay farther from downtown.
"location was nice but the hotel was a dump."

"Chinatown Hotel"
The only good part of this hotel is that it is about as convenient a location to downtown as you can get without paying double the price. Other than that, I had the pleasure one morning of going down to use the "business center computer" only to find it occupied by a homeless male watching PORN. The staff was not interested in doing anything about it […] and I can only assume this is normal for the Chinatown Hotel. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

General is OK, although the carpent is not that clean, we don't sleep or sit on it. the bed looks a little bit old, but I am fine now after sleeping there for 3 nights. You may want not to lose your room key, or you have to pay 20 dollars for that. I found that when I was checking out.
"Inexpensive hotel for conventioneers"
Although the hotel & rooms are tiny and in need of updating, they are clean and functional. New HD tvs in rooms. Ride the #21 CTA bus and in 5 minutes you are in front of McCormick Place. Hotel staff was polite and helpful. If you want a cheap place to sleep that is convenient, this definitely fits the bill.

"Bed full of Bugs"
Bed full of Bugs
"Cheap and nice place"
It is a economic hotel and easy to find Chinese food. A good place near RSNA.
"Bed bugs"
I booked this hotel because it was affordable and near the convention center. Based on the uncleanly appearance, I suspected it was infested with bed bugs, but it was too late for me to find another hotel. Sure enough, two days later, I developed multiple itchy bed bug bites on my hands and arms.
"very close to downtown"
We're in Chicago at first time, so we don't have time to sit at the hotel. Hotel situated very close to downtown, it takes 10 minutes by train.
"BED BUGS!!!!!!"
stayed there for 2 nights in room 118. body COVERED with bug bites and actually saw 1 bed bug. stayed here for its location and price, but if you wanna save $$, stay a little outside of downtown chicago and take the train in. this place was BEYOND TERRIBLE! window view was of an alley full of dumpsters. told them i got bites all over my body and they […] didn't even say sorry. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! อ่านเพิ่มเติม

"It was short but pleasant"
The hotel is good, accessible and their services is averagely ok. Internet and phone facilities are available. The are shops around for whatever u need. its ok generallly.
"Great Hotel"
This hotel is a great place to stay for a weekend if you are looking for a cheap/convenient location. The rooms were clean and bathrooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay at this hotel again for a low budget stay.
"cheap, good location, right off subway"
we read other reviews so we knew what to expect - the price is right & it's in chinatown, so good inexpensive food all around you! our room had remodeled bath - thank goodness, so shower was decent. appreciated the water cooler downstairs to have drinking water & we did take out once & ate in the community lounge area & had a lively conversation w/ […] some other guests. as noted, no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. maid service did come by daily to fix beds & replace thread-bare towels. windows don't open, it was hot! wooden box springs gave support so mattress was ok. easy to find from "china gates" & easy access to subway train. very happy that hotels.com honored their price-match guarantee - their price went down by $5/day & we got a credit back! we stayed here because it was close to mccormick place. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"The China Town Hotel is filthy dirty."
Black mold. Filthy rooms.
"The China Town Hotel is filthy."
The room smelled disgusting, there is black mold on the shower head, the rugs are filthy, and the linnens look nasty. No queen size beds, only twins.
"Definitely a comedic experience!"
Its a place to crash! Perks: Two blocks from redline, which took us everywhere we needed to go. Parking was free on the street. Now the rest of the story: First thing I do is try to open the window and the window fell out. The toilet seat fell off while in use. And the toliet and the flusher fell out of the toliet. Shower is tiny. The shower head fell […] off the holder and hit me in the head. The electrical outlet sparked while using a flat iron. The bed spread is discusting and hard as a rock. there was water damage on the walls. The only channel you get is CNN on a tube television and the carpet is dirty. There is a lot of noise in the morning on the street. So, if you choose this hotel don't pay over fifty dollars. Its a dump. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

"china town hotel chicago"

"Bring Raid"
This Hotel should be named the China Town Cockroach Hotel. I killed one but missed the other 2. The front desk informed me that due the Hotels close proximity to restaurants in the area it is impossible to get rid of the cockroaches. I feel bad because the guys at the front desk were nice. The photos on line of the rooms are misleading.
"Chinatown Hotel - Again"
I've stayed at this hotel several times. I wouldn't bring my wife here, but I stay here by myself. it has 15 chineses restaurants and a Walgreens w/i 3 blocks. It is 2 blocks off the Red Line subway ("L"). Just an old dingy hotel in a good location. I feel safe in the area.
"The worst experience"
I do not know why this place has a permit to operate as a hotel, we were offered the third floor rooms and the building has no elevators, one person can barely move up the stairs and try carrying a bag and i am surprised we did not trip. The stinky carpet had a mildew odor to it and I could not guess how old it is, Hotel.com should immediately drop […] this dump from their site, And to top it all the person at the front desk was very rude because we asked for extra pillows. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"chinatown hotel chicago!!"
Great little hotel if u aren't high maintness. No frills just a clean bed to sleep in!! Besides when I go to Chicago I'm not into looking at the walls in my hotel I'm out and about on the town!!!
"Very Run Down"
This hotel was very run down. The paint and plaster of the walls were cracking and during my first day the water was out for hours. The internet did not work and when I called the desk the woman spoke little english and all she would say is "You must fix it on your computer". The 13" TV only got 3 channels, 2 of those in chinese and all VERY bad reception. […] Next time I will pay the extra to get a decent hotel. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

"Great neighborhood, inexpensive"
The rooms were small, dingy and dark, had no character and somewhat smelly carpeting. But the management was nice and accommodating. It is also inexpensive and located in a unique neighborhood, and we were always able to find free parking on the street. I can recommend it to anyone on the budget, though if you think of spending prolonged time in your […] room, skip this one for a more modern hotel. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Chinatown. So worth it."
If you're looking for a cheap place to stay near, say, Grant Park/Redline, Chinatown Hotel works. It's nothing fancy, but the staff was super friendly despite my late check-in with a friend. The neighborhood is full of culture, and there's parking across the main road. Like they, you get what you pay for. In this case: A/C in the room, a TV with three […] channels (two of which are in Chinese), a decently-sized bathroom with a shower and two pillows on the bed. For an overnight stay in Chi-town, highly recommended. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Chinatown hotel - cars are not welcomed"
Hotel is rather old and scratched. That includes several important things... Specific examples: fire alarm was in the room... but the sensor itself was in the drawer of the table... not connected to the system. Evacuation plan was there but it was made for another room and etc. The most annoying - absence of the parking lot - you have to park on the […] streets of the Chinatown or to pay $10 at nearby parking. Not an option if you want to save money or nerves (one of these is usually the reason to select cheap conveniently located hotel). อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Can't think of how it could be any worse actually"
Epic failure. I don't even know where to begin. This place is just an absolute awful hotel. Absolutely awful. Dirty, small, cramped, no elevator (they put us on the 4th floor at the furthest end of the hotel - literally the furthest room away), no nothing. Not even extra towels. Just totally insane. Like staying in a different country. A dirtier country. […] A country with less common sense. It was an experience for sure. If you're a college kid looking for weird memories, check this place out. If you're an adult traveling for business or for a family vacation, you would be better off sleeping in the airport terminal. This hotel is a joke. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
Pros ------ * The hotel is located near the Red line and restaurants (some of which are open until 2 AM). * Parking for a rental car wasn't too troublesome. The hotel doesn't have a lot of its own, but there is parking to be found on the streets. Cons ------- * Extremely dirty! I found a pubic hair on my blanket. I was so concerned about the cleanliness […] of the hotel that I moved all the blankets to one side of the bed and slept ontop of clothes. * Noisy. The hotel is located in Chinatown and you hear a lot of people yelling. * Smelly. The entire hotel had a dank smell to it. (The carpet in my room always felt moist.) This hotel is no frills taken to the extreme. I wouldn't stay here again. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Chintown Hotel - only if you need a bed!"
The Chinatown Hotel was an interesting adventure, it was the only reasonable holtel available last minute. Three tv stations, 2 in Chinese. Weak A\C, I was there when it was 95 degrees, 95% humidity, barely kept the room liveable. Good chinese food in the area the only major plus. It was ok for just me, if my wife had been with me, she would have moved […] anywhere no matter the cost. You have been warned! อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Basic and small not necessarily bad"
If you are someone who needs a hotel room to spend a lot of time in, look somewhere else. If you simply need a bed and running water, you likely won't find a better/cheaper place. I was in town for about 24 hrs and was only in the hotel to sleep and shower. The bed was fairly comfortable. The showerhead was high up and pumped out warm water. Pros: […] Remote control AC unit is directly above bed. Closet with hangers. Soap, shampoo, towels provided. No complaints about the bed. Hotel is very close to a walgreens which is definitely convinient for small trips. Cons: Didn't get great cell reception. TV only got 4 channels....3 of which were in Chinese. Keys are not actual keys but rather steel sheet, almost like the typical credit car style but literally made of metal, hard to find somewhere convinient to store this. Pro or Con depending on your personal preference: The hotel is located right in the middle of Chicago's Chinatown. If I ever am in Chicago for a very short amount of time, I will stay here again. But if I am going to be vacationing here, I will look somewhere more spacious. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Chinatown rocks"
What the Chinatown SRO lacks in amenities found in most hotels, it makes up for in price and location. Our room was pretty small and the TV was little more than a 13" monitor that got a very limited selection of channels. No coffee pot or coffee in the room and no breakfast frills in the lobby/lounge area. But it was comfortable enough and being right […] in the heart of Chinatown, close to downtown... GREAT! For the low price, I'd definitely stay again. I recommend it to others but not if you're intending to stay in the lap of luxury or spend your time in Chicago watching a lot of TV in your room! อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Cheap but nice hotel"
I came to Chicago to attend a conference and I stayed in Chinatown hotel for about 1 week. Generally, the service was quite good and it was near to the red line station. Moreover, it is in the China town, so you can have a chance to taste the Chinese food. One bad thing is that the smell is not so good. Since I can not open the windows to ventilate, […] the air smells bad. Anyway, it is good and if they can improve the smell problem, I would say it is perfect!! อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"china Hotel in Chicaago"
The room I was in was renovated. Clean restroom and clean interior. The bed mattress was not comfortable but good enough. Free internet. Be careful in parking your car. you may get a ticket in the street where it is not clear that parking is not allowed. Bus 21 runs to McCormick center at 7:45am. Buy a pass from Walgreen for $5.75. good luck

"only stay if necessary"
Big food show in town and had to settle. I would NEVER stay if ANYTHING else was avaliable. Small room...hard bed...NO washcloths...coffee pot but no coffee...no elevator....a cat was in the hall outside one of the rooms. Do I need to go further. Do not walk from this place....RUN
"Budget option"
I've never stayed in such a "basic" hotel. It was probably what a student hostel is like, but without the social aspect. Very quiet and private. Bed was clean & comfortable, bathroom was clean, and shower was good. Red line was really close, and just over a $10/nite parking lot was beneath the El. This was no-frills accomodations at its no-frilliest, […] but if you must go cheap, the location can't be beat. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
