Holiday Inn Express & Suites - O'Fallon /Shiloh - O'Fallon

The caulk around the potty was peeling off. The shower was scratched. Overall it give the appearance of well maintained Hotel. I have stayed at other Holiday Inn and expected a certain degree of cleanliness and maintenance. This one almost approached a Motel 8.

Staff was extremely friendly. Great breakfast. Rooms updated and clean. Pool little murky, but no big deal. Would stay here again.

The hotel was clean, but the pool had a tint of green to it and there was a ton of chlorine in the water. After swimming in the pool both of my children threw up.

Hotel was poor quality. Gym didn't have much equipment. No towels/paper towels in the gym. Pocket knife found in my room. Refrigerator was dirty and sticky.

Very clean with spacious rooms. Could use a little fixing up. Clear tape holding down wallpaper. Toilet was lopsided and staples holding down wallpaper in bathroom. Can smell coffee being made in the room next door. Breakfast staff was very helpful and courteous. We would stay here again.

HAD A PLEASANT STAY - THE POOL AND HOT TUB VERY RELAXING-WONDERFUL BREAKFAST-ROOM GOOD SIZE-CLEAN-FRIDGE IN ROOM WAS A PLUS-HAVE STAYED HERE BEFORE AND WILL STAY HERE AGAIN-CLOSE TO THE METRO-SHOPPING-EMPLOYEES WERE HELPFUL AND CHEERFUL.

The hotel wedas very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was located conviently to a major highway with easy on and off.

After the first night we requested another room. There was apparently air in the plumbing that sounded like a jet taking off. Also, the refrigerator in the room did not work. In the second room, the pipe noise was there just as much. The next morning we smelled smoke and called the front desk. We were told that the room next to us was a smoking room […] (we had requested non-smoking). After checking the doors in the hallway, all of them were marked as non-smoking rooms. the stay at the hotel was marred by the people that were in the next room and was swearing and very loud and had 2 children running thru the halls yelling late into the night. The problem was that the manager there did not do anything about it. Will never stay there again.

We have stayed at this hotel twice about two years apart and both times the room smelled of smoke even though the room was designated as smoke free. We will not go back since we gave it a second chance.

Check in went smoothly and room was very clean. The breakfast was plentiful. My kids loved the pancake making machine. We would have preffered the pool water to be clearer.

Hotel wasn't bad, I needed it because it was close to where I was working. My only dislike was, I requested a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room. I was too tired to complain - but I'm sure if I had, I would have been given a different room. There is breakfast available starting at 6am which is nice if you leave early.
