Dream Castle Hotel at Disneyland Paris - Aulnoy

Recently stayed with husband and 21 month old daughter for 1 night at end of holiday. The room was an excellent size, but the hotel itself is looking very tired. The pool was freezing, and the changing facilities were pretty grubby. Buffet dinner was very poor for the price - €29 per person. The hotel is fine, the drinks are rather expensive, but I guess its the same anywhere in this area of DisneyLand. There are various childrens things i.e carousel, childrens football tables etc, I think its a little mean to have to pay for these.

Not a dream castle. First impressions disappointing, large foyer with very unpleasant smell, but rooms well set up, bunk bed had curtain across which meant room lights could be left on without disturbing children in the evening. Breakfast ok, evening meal disappointing. Pool small but empty and a nice escape from eurodisney.

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights from 14th- 16th April 2013. The check in was fast, there was somewhere to store your luggage too as our room wasnt available straight away. The hotel when we got their was overrun by about 4 schools of secondary school you couldn't move it was like going to school for the duration with hardly any teachers around. Requested air conditioning fixed & other maintenance done in room but it was not done & food very expensive. Hotel was completely understaffed for the amount of people that can be accommodated in the hotel. There were always ques at reception. There were ques at the breakfast area. Ques at dinner time. Hotel was really great but getting to the Disney park was a challenge, you get the free no.54 bus from outside the hotel, we are the last stop of 5 hotels in a row which the bus accomodates so you can't get on it!!!! you wait for up to an hour or more and then it's a real push getting on..... getting back is just the same. This is not a four star hotel. It is very basic and unfortunately the front desk staff were appalling (except for Cristina and the breakfast manager)! We had to wait 20 minutes to check in because of lack of staff. The breakfast was OK but after 10.15 there was no cereal or bread! The evening meal left a lot to be desired. To complete the nightmare when I took my luggage down at 10.30 to get the Disney Express service to the station the rude girl on the desk told me I was too late even though the sign in front of me said that the service was available before 11am! At that point I am afraid I adopted her attitude and that seemed to work! Oh and finally, there is "complimentary tea and coffee" in the room but beware, there is enough for 2 cups (at the most) and if you want a refill of the tray during your stay you will have to pay for it!!! Come on Dream Castle, pull your socks up! If you can afford to then stay at the Disneyland Hotel where the staff smile and the food and ambiance is truly good. The reception area was lovely. Rooms were dark, un clean. Our room smelt of toilets. Breakfast really bad. You have to pay 6euros a day for the tea and coffee in your room to be topped up. Overall the hotel was very nice, staff were pleasant but the breakfast was its downfall, food was cold and of poor quality. Would stay again but would go elsewhere for breakfast.

This was a good value base, with an excellent breakfast. Frequent shuttle bus, pleasant grounds and friendly staff. Expensive food and drink, but this is the case everywhere in this location.

Hotel was very close to Disney and there was a shuttle bus that took you to the park every 15 mins, so very convenient. We stayed on a half board basis and the breakfast and dinner were very good. The rooms were very clean and even the bed was really comfy! Would definitely return to this hotel if I was visiting Disneyland again.

The room was unclean on arrival. I complained about this on the first night and cleaners were sent to the room however instead of cleaning it they just made the bed and refilled the tea and coffee. I complained again and again cleaners were sent but failed to clean the room. The food in the hotel was disgusting and massively over priced with a bowel […] of pasta costing 21 euros. We decided to use the swimming pool and again the area was un clean with pools of water all over the floor which my 3 year old slipped on twice. We had a very disappointing stay with no recompense for the room being uncleared from previous guests. We even found a comments card on the dressing table from November 2012 which was 4 months prior to our stay. There was mould on the extractor In the bathroom and the patrician curtain on the children's beds was hanging off with what looked like yoghurt splattered all over it. Our biggest complaint was that there weren't microwaves in the rooms. Considering the majority of clients have young children, microwaves would be helpful for heating up baby bottles and light snacks. We weren't able to heat up the milk for our 6 month old. Also, for what you get, the hotel was over priced - but it is Disney, so they can charge the […] big bucks. The evening buffet was extremely over priced and wasn't all that great. Finally, be aware that a lot of people travel there in groups. We were across the hall from a group who were occupying 4-5 rooms side by side. They pushed the lock latch across and then went from room to room, with the doors banging behind them all night, every night. Because the doors were left "open" their young children were running up and down the halls until well beyond midnight, leaving a trail of crisps everywhere they went. I'm positive they must have brought cooking devices with them because it smelled like food was being cooked in their rooms. On a positive note, parking was included, the shuttle bus was great and the people working at reception were very nice. Our three year old lost his beloved stuffed toy and when I called reception, they had it in Lost & Found. They were wonderful when he went to the desk to ask if it had been found. We absolutely loved this hotel, the rooms were spacious and comfy, the kids were taken up with the bunk beds! The shower was powerful and coupled with the L'occtaine products it was difficult to get out of!! Last time I stayed in this hotel it was good. However, the service has detiororated and does not represent the image of Disney. Be prepared to wait to be served with any query whether there is a queue or not! Real shame as this could be a fab hotel but is let down by poor leadership.

Nice clean hotel only let down was very expensive to eat or drink there example for 2 adults and 2 kids an evening meal and a drink each cost €110 equivalent at the same exchange rate to £110. So beware if you go to take plenty of money.

Excellent hotel, brilliant for Disney with a free shuttle service running to and from the park every 20 minutes. Very clean, adequate swimming pool and decent facilities. Dissapointing, Good location, thought we would stay off sight from Disney this time and get a 4star hotel. But this hotel is far from 4star!.. Shuttle bus was regular& quick. We decided on a last minute break with the kids. We stayed for 4 nights and though this to be a good place to do Disney as well as travel into Paris for two days. The hotel is very clean and very convinient to get to Disney and the Train station using the free shuttle service which run every 15 minutes till mid-night. I can get busy but if you arrive early or towards the end, it is quieter. The choices include a combination hot food and cold meats, fruits, and a variety of breads, spreads and cereals. The staff were always helpful and polite. The hotelshould be a serious consideration for anyone wanting a disney break but with frequent and easy connections into Paris. Great hotel for children. However - although you expect Eurodisney to be expensive,, to be charged 7.50 euros for a small bottle of apple juice, 8 euros for a glass of wine and 21 euros for a sandwich is quite outrageous. The hotel is very clever as its clientele have absolutely nowhere within the hotel or the environs to purchase a snack or drink other […] than from the restaurant (or room service). The games machines within the hotel all cost 2 euros to operate which becomes prohibitive. The food at the park is equally expensive and the queues can be quite overwhelming. There is occasionally a problem getting on the shuttle bus outside the hotel to go to the park as the hotel is the last stop. Hotel staff were very friendly. They all couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are very clean and of a good size. We had the bunk beds in our romm which the kids loved. The indoor swimming pool is very good and a nice way to relax after the parks. Food was very good in the hotel. If i ever come back i would stay in this hotel.

Excellent hotel with spacious reception areas, comfortable seating and snack facilities. Very well kept and tidy even though busy with families and children. We were given a room promptly, even though we arrived several hours ahead of check-in time.The room was beautifully appointed and comfortable with great mattresses on all the beds and l'Occitane […] products in the bathroom. We all slept really well and there was no problem at all with any noise. The buffet breakfast was of excellent quality and offered a very wide choice for all tastes - fruits, yoghurts, cereals, meats, cheeses, hot dishes, croissants, breads, hot and cold drinks. Absolutely lovely. Items were frequently replenished and tables tidied promptly. We would have made more use of other facilities like the bar, which looked attractive but unfortunately I had my purse stolen at Disneyland so this wasn't possible. Hotel was 4* but some marks on bedroom carpet and some mould marks in sealant around bath ( only minor). Cost of coffee / drinks in machines / bar were very expensive in some cases double what we'd pay in UK. Kids entertainment in lobby expensive ! The need to ay extra for towels at sauna etc.. Breakfast had plenty of choice for all on a buffet style. […] Only minimal ques in a morning. Quality was lacking though with cold sauté potatoes, tasteless scrambled eggs and re- heated beans, sausages poor quality. Good location if Disney with about 10 min transfer time by free shuttle bus. Two wired computers of Internet access (free) but only one working and with only minimal free Internet access 512k !! Or paying for unlimited it restricted you somewhat. The Dream Castle Hotel, although its not one of the main Disney Hotels, it is only 5 minutes away on the frequent shuttle buses. The hotel is huge, and its surroundings are excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for the price compared to the main Disney hotels.

The breakfast was okay, not as good as some I've had but a reasonable selection of cereals, bread, cheese, meats, some hot food though not a great deal, and some fruit though mostly tinned. There was always a queue for reception/ information, and this was in low season. Nice swimming pool and games facilities for children (though at 2 euros a game, could easily get expensive).
