clean and very close to city centre sights, breakfast very expensive compared to local cafes, well worth a visit

Lovely hotel, close to everything we wanted to see (museums, shopping, plazas). Water temperature and pressure in room was excellent, and we appreciated the extra blankets and pillows. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant as there are plenty of places to eat next door and nearby that were cheaper. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very convenience to the sightseeing points, and it is clean and tidy, the only dissatisfy is the bathroom design! No door design and poor drainage of the bathtub always flooding!

The hotel was great with the exception that it was very warm in the room and we had to keep the window open at night. The street was very noisy however the hotel was very nice and I would stay there again.

Excellent city centre hotel. Ideal for short term visitors. Breakfast and room only suited us as we simply wished to be able to walk around Madrids historic central area for the 5 days we were there.

Location is great. very convenient. staff were very friendly and helpful. Room condition, very clean, and service were definitely beat the price. Fantatstic value. I wouldnt call this place a four star hotel, however, would easily stay there anyother time I visit madrid.

Its on a main road but there wasn't any noticeable noise from traffic that we could hear in our room. Its just round the corner from Sol so its convenient for shops and travel. The hotel can keep your baggage securely and issue you a ticket for collecting them again,this was a relief as we had to check out at 12 and didn't want to carry our bags around […] all day. Good food is nearby a place that sells tapas 3 dishes for 12 euro just next to the hotel and museo due jamon a minutes walk away! Overall very happy but the only issue is that the rooms have a glass door to seperate the toilet and the bedroom.. which can be awkward if you have a high fibre diet! ... friendly staff, good mantaince... the rooms are quite small, but confortable enought.

From thehotel we could walk to all sites and museums. The staff was friendly and very helpful in English. We stayed over Christmas for an affordable price. The comfort and quality definitely made our stay in Madrid that much better. Don't count on plush bedding or a ton of room, but you won't miss it at this price point and location.

The rooms were nice about 5-8 years ago. If they had been kept up, it would have been a better place. Also, if you are looking for a place that is quiet, look somewhere else; even with the window closed. We stayed at this hotel for four nights. The location is perfect... close to Sol... but a few steps away from the crowds and the noise. The design and the management of the hotel were definitely 4 star quality... and I would even say business-class quality. Staff was attentive and helpful at all hours of the day/night. The rooms were beautiful. The […] only unfortunate part of the design is the bathroom door, which is glass... and see through... and makes for some discomfort if you're not in a relationship. Cafe next door was great - I would recommend coffee at the counter (its cheaper!). The airport bus stop (cheapest and direct) is nearby and walkable. Great for our family of three !

The pictures look really cool, but overall this was not a comfortable hotel. The staff didn't want to be helpful and when asked questions would just say something really fast without taking the time to tell you how to get there because they were too busy talking to each other. Had to ask them for the name of a restaurant and it's location 3 times before […] they gave an approximate location. WiFi doesn't didn't work, TV worked on and off. Excellent location within walking distance of Madrid's sights, and also its famous nightlife!

The hotel was great. We scored a room with a rooftop terrace, which was great. Front desk staff weren't very engaging or interested but did their job OK.

We had a triple room (queen and single) that was big enough and very comfortable. The staff was very nice. A pool would have been nice for the 100 degree weather, but the air worked WELL and it was fine. Walking distance from everything. Woud stay there again

Location was perfect and in walking distance of pretty much everything. A/C SUCKED!!! It felt like a Sauna in the Lobby and the room wasn't much better! Great boutique hotel. Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. You can walk to all sights and restaurants very easily from here. Highly recommended.

The location of the hotel is great, and the hotel itself is nice and clean, the rooms are really small (which is a given in central Madrid), but the air conditioning DOES NOT WORK. Great location in the center of Madrid, and friendly and helpful staff. However, the rooms literally SMELL. In the first room it was impossible to be in the bathroom due to the very strong sewer smell. I was not able to sleep either due to the very loud people outside screaming and breaking beer bottles all night long. It was Friday night. The next […] day I got a new room. The bathroom smelled a little less but the noise outside was the same. Thankfuly I found some earplugs and was able to sleep. This was a great price for the location (about half the price of nearby hotels) and quality of hotel. Amenities are basic (no lounge, restaurant or gym) but rooms were very sleek , clean and comfortable. The chairs in the room were not comfortable but the all-important bed was. The hotel staff was very nice. The location is great just south of the Gran […] Via, near two metros, a ton of restaurants and bars. The only downside was when we left at 6:3am on a Saturday the young crowd was still partying in the streets. But having a room on a higher floor made it a non-issue. Everything- the staff, the room, the location... My friends and I enjoyed the location. Quo Puerto del Sol is literally in the heart of everything- good shopping, nightlife, sights. The hotel was so well located near all the hot spots. The trio room nice and comfortable ,good value for money

Awesome location, room was modern, a little musty but overall recommended

Our room was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting the city. Drunken revellers coming in early in the morning was the only downside but no noise from the busy city right by our window

This hotel is great! The location is excellent. The staff is great. The rooms are very comfortable. Located on a busy street, the windows are excellent and blocked out the street noise. As a single woman, I felt safe and secure. I found the single room rate to be reasonable and affordable. I did not have the hotel breakfast (additional charge) so cannot […] comment on it. There were plenty of places right nearby to have a reasonable breakfast. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only other comment I have is a strange one. I had a problem with the doorknob to my room. I could not turn the doorknob and enter my room! I asked to change my room, and the front desk graciously did as I asked. They could not have been nicer to me. Still, I could not turn the knob on the door of my new room! It seems this is a common problem, and the front desk staff will go with you to your room and open the door for you! However, it is annoying. I was told that, even though the staff have told the owner that many of the guests cannot turn the doorknobs and enter their rooms, he won't change or fix the doorknobs. Centrally located, excellent service, we asked for a quiet room in a hotel that is two blocks from the Puerta del Sol and got a wonderful room and a great nights sleep. Very good breakfast. Wonderful tapas restaurants nearby at the Plaza de Santa Ana and close to the Prado museum and the Thyssen.

Great location; in the heart of the city and across the street from a favorite restaurant of ours: La Finca de Susana. Contemporary, stylish, and a good value. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel had an exceptional location, we walked everywhere. It was safe. It is perfect if you plan to spend your whole day out and want to leave your precious belongings in a safe place as it is very safe. Although some fixtures are aging, it was fairly clean. Hotel is located at walking distance of Metro Hub Puerta del Sol. Madrid Metro system will get you to all main atractions of the city. Still, the room was OK, an fairly confortable, but even with windows closed you can still hear the outside noise very late in the night (2:00 AM).

i loved the location situated right between puerta de sol and gran via and plaza de mayor. Very happy with the help from the staff even if they spoke very little english . Rooms were cleaned daily. the transport locations such as the metro right outside the hotel just a few yards. the down side was the room size was small . i should have ask to be […] moved to see if i would have been.
