All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very beautiful area near Yosemite National Park.

They let's us check in early so we could dump our stuff and start our hiking early. Tv remote was taped together.

It was my first trip to Yosemite, and Cedar Lodge offered a convenient location at an affordable price. My room was clean and comfortable, giving me a haven to recharge my batteries between days of hiking in the park. If I were younger, I might have camped. Hotel clean but we did have some ants ,they got in some cookie that was left on table an the coffee pot was damaged.

They're charging 10$ for internet use in the lobby only . Thé a/c was very noisy

(1) No microwave in Cedar Lodge - minus; (2) Refrigerator did not work in our room - minus, but maybe it was just our bad luck; (3) Six miles further from the Yosemity valley - just additional 10 minute drive; (4) Very nice park near the river - great plus; Yosemity View Lodge provides only river view for additional price (5) Much cheaper. It would be nice if they had a microwave and wifi in the rooms. They charge $9.00 to use wifi in the lobby. That is primitive.

This was a nice surprise. Closer to Yosemite than some of the other towns so not a long drive to get into the park. Our rooms were very roomy and clean. Pillows were flat so just used two! Staff was helpful and breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and good.

I stayed in this lodge on the way to visit Yosemite National park. Location is good, but hotel staff is not helpful,also service level is bad. Booking details included microwave/kettle for tea or coffee, none of these were provided in the room. Clean hotel, good location.3 couples 3 rooms same issues in each room. Terrible mattresses, thread worn blankets and sheets. I would not recommend this motel if you can find accommodations in the park.

Stayed 2 nights to be relatively close to Yosemite without having to pay the rate that the hotels charge inside the national park. Great value for money and excellent, generous breakfast buffet for 11 USD. Go for it!

This hotel is convenient to the Yosemite valley especially if you have kids. The room did not have a hair dryer and a clock so make sure you bring your own! Otherwise wonderful stay in beautiful Yosemite.

Very comfortable lodging and beautiful Yosmite close by and reasonable food prices in their restaurant.

A good, clean hotel located close to Yosemite, but a bit pricey.

No bed bug problem here, but didn't encounter any problems. Good location, just outside the park. Read about problems with checking out before 7am, but reception was open 24 hours when we were there. Basic accomodations and noisy a/c/heater, but otherwise clean.

Not same as described on hotels.com, the front woman told me the online information was expired, and didn't say sorry, my fault?

My 89 year old mother and I very much enjoyed this hotel which was quite close to Yosemite. It was perfect for us. There is a nice little shop there in which some limited food items can be purchased. There was a refrigerator in the room, which was quite convenient. The location was picturesque. We had no problems with the services. Thank you!

A beautiful area and a wonderful, short trip to Yosemite along a truly marvelous road. We had the biggest Spa Tub I have ever seen. The Hotel Staff were beyond just helpful and sweet. If you wish to lodge near Yosemite, this is the very best location. I have tried many others.

The location was great, a short drive to Yosemite Valley and to Mariposa. The Hotel was very accesible from the Highway. The room was clean and comfortable.

It's rated a 2 star I think because it's not updated with granite counter tops and a flat screen TV. Nor does it have the "modern" duvet covers. But, on our trip consisting of a 4 star and 3 star hotel, this 2 star beat them by far! The room was very clean (I'd rather have this than dirty granite counter tops!), comfortable, the service was great, the […] indoor pool was clean, very heated and a great hit with my family. It's also about a 10 minute drive from the Valley entrance to Yosemite. There's one place closer outside the Valley but you're paying about twice as much. The places in the Valley are either 5 times more a night for a real room or twice as much for a heated tent. I'll take the Cedar Lodge any day. The restaurant was decent too. The very good thing about this motel is how close it is to Yosemite NP. However, it is very isolated and you have to drive many miles through winding roads to get to an offer of restaurants or stores which makes the prices competitive. Was a drive to Yosemite park, but was a comfortable, mellow place to stay and kick back after hiking all day. Took half an hour to find our reservations, and the cleaning people left cleaning rags in our room every day, but other than that, the room was huge, quiet, and we would stay again.

This hotel is not far away from the Yosemite Park, about half-hour drive. It has a resturant and breakfast buffet , which are very convient although the breakfast buffet is overpriced. The location and price of Cedar Lodge allows you to forgive a lot. However, the noise of the old fashioned heater/air conditioner made it difficult to sleep and the thin blankets provided by the hotel made it necessary to keep turning the noisy machine on. Location is good but bring extra blankets and/or earplugs.

This is a hotel that is convenient to Yosemite, but not a great hotel. I have stayed here many times because the price is fair/low compared to Yosemite and the room is as good as most hotels in the park. this hotel has gone downhill since our first visit. the location is great for visiying Yosemite, but th room was cold and heater didn't work until we complained and the repair man was rude. The location is good for visiting Yosemite national park, But there is no WiFi at guest room, only lobby area has internet access and one has to pay $9 per day. The lobby will be closed at 11 PM. So if you enjoy vacation, it is fine; if you need to access net work from time to time, this is not a good place to stay.

Nothing fancy but I was happy with the hotel choice here. It was inexpensive and still close to Yosemite entrance. I'd stay again here. However complimentary coffee at the lobby was so weak for my taste. I will bring my own coffee and make it with my jetboil next time. Problem solved!! The lodge was clean and a good deal in comparison to others in the area. The restaurant and bar were over priced however, taking advantage of being one of the few restaurants for 20 some miles.

I have stayed here many times and have been satisfied. The hotel is about 10 minutes from Yosemite NP Gate and an additional 10 minutes from the valley floor. I have also stayed at the Yosemite view lodge, and hotels in Yosemite valley. These hotels only offer a closer drive to the valley. The accommodations however are not better. In fact, some lodging […] in the valley is not as good. But, if you want to save about 20 minute drive for a couple hundred dollars more than the valley is a good alternative. rooms and facilities basic but excellent. the only dissatisfaction was the extremely unconvinient WIFI [expensive & in reception area only].

check-in was ok though front desk is not too eager to serve with a smile. Room was reasonably OK and clean, but wifi is expensive and only available at lobby area.
