Sea Palms Inn - เกาะ St Simons

Property was located in the center area of St. Simon's. Very close to the St. Simon's Airport. Property was the older style property but the staff was very courteous. The rooms were a little outdated especially the tube style TV. They did provide upgraded cable which included multiple HBO stations. The continental breakfast was adequate and very clean. […] The breakfast provided cereal, make your own waffles, bagles, juice, coffee, and muffins. Fitness room was small and had limited equipment. Indoor pool was clean and had jucuzzi area. Easy access to any part of the island. Island has bike, walking, and jogging trails that are great. Rooms have outside entrance. In general the rooms are okay, could use new carpet and better pillows.

Check in took too long, clerk was distracted several times. Not friendly, said she had no control over outside bookings. Room was small, only double beds, not Queens. Room looked dated. Ceiling had spots and cracked plaster. Shower had rust. Second day maids did not leave new ice bucket liner nor new supplies. Hot tub was not in working order first […] day. Our room was near the pool, vending machines and ice machine...very noisy all hours of the night. Price was too high for the quality of this hotel. My wife and I had a very nice two-night stay at the Sea Palms Inn. Easy access on/off the island. Hotel is in convenient location adjacent to a main thoroughfare -- you're not "on the beach" by any means, but driving/biking to island attractions is easily done. Facility generally has an older look, but the room was clean and accommodations were fine. […] Our room was poolside -- recommend requesting an outside room instead. Pool is under a pavilion, and noise level to surrounding rooms can be high when kids/families are using the pool. Excellent Service! Staff are GREAT! "Don't judge a book by its cover...." The outside of the property was questionable until I first walked inside the lobby and my room. How remarkable!

We were close to everything - alll restaurants, including a short ride to the beach. Very nice clean breakfast area, although Cafe Fredrica for a deluxe breakfast is a must.

I ended up in this hotel as "overflow" from a conference at the Resort. My first impression of the room was--did some *just* smoke in here? I guess I someone how a smoking room and it was very stale. Ever heard of Febreeze? The location was pretty convenient though--close to restaurants and shops and a bike rental place.

AS USUAL THE HOTEL ROOM AND FACILITIES WERE TOP NOTCH. BUT SATURDAY AFTERNOON WHEN WE CAME BACK TO THE ROOM FROM LUNCH AND SHOPPING OUR ROOM KEYS WOULDNT WORK. I WENT TO THE OFFICE AND ASKED WHY. THE LADY WORKING SAID THAT WE WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE CHECKED OUT THAT AM. IEXPLAINED THAT WE HAD PAID FOR 3 NIGHTS ON HOTELS .COM, AND WE WERENT TO CHECKOUT […] UNTIL SUNDAY THE 19TH. SHE WAS VERY RUDE AND SAID NO THAT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GONE SATURDAY AM THE 18TH. THIS WOULDNT HAVE BOTHERED ME SO MUCH , BUT THERE WERE 3 OTHER COUPLES STANDING NEAR THE DESK CHECKING IN THE MOTEL. SHE DID EVERYTHING BUT CALL ME A LIAR IN FRONT OF ALL THESE OEOPLE THAT WERE STANDING THERE. FINALLY I SAID THAT I HAD THE PAID RECEIPT THAT I HAD PRINTED WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATIONS . THEN SHE PICKED UP A PIECE OF PAPER OFF OF THE COUNTER AND SAID OK.. THEN SHE REACTIVATED MY ROOM KEYS AND SAID THAT THEY SHOULD WORK NOW. IT WAS STRANGE BUT SHE KEPT REFERRING TO HOTELS .COM AS EXPEDIA. IHAVE PROBABLY STAYED AT THIS MOTEL 10 OR 15 WEEKENDS INTHE RECENT PAST. I PERSONALLY OWN A SERVICE BUSINESS IN WESTERN NC. AND IF MY EMPLOYEES TREATED MY CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS I WOULD PROBABLY BE OUT OF BUSINESS QUICKLY. My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing stay at the Sea Palms Hotel. The lobby, room, pool area and grounds were spotless and well maintained! My boyfriend and I selected St. Simon's as our destination to celebrate 2 years together. After looking for accommodations including a hot tub, we settled on Sea Palms Inn. The hot tub only fits 2 people, which worked to our benefit because we got it to ourselves - once the kids got out. Very basic room. Small bathroom- Door skimmed toilet when opening. Maybe room was so basic because we had a dog room. Extra charge (dog fee) was not same amount that was on Website. Price was changed on website after I mentioned price difference. Walking distance to a nice shopping/dining area.

Close to the center of the island, and between Sea Island and The Pier, this hotel is well placed. The room is very clean, comfortable and spacious enough to spread out. My one complaint would be the toilet is pretty close to the bathroom door which requires some maneuvering, but honestly it's a minor quibble. Had everything I wanted: quiet, comfort, convenience, indoor warm pool open 8AM-10PM, breakfast (they might add boiled eggs.hmmmm).....Highly recommend.

Well maintained hotel. Seems like they did a major renovation of rooms. Nice furnishings and bathroom vanity. Well maintained exterior. I go to the island for business and had previously stayed at the Hampton Inn. The Sea Palms Inn is a better experience for a lot less money. I will return.

Rooms were comfortable, everything you need. We brought out pet so that is a great feature to offer at a resort town. Breakfast was good for a continental. My husband asked if they had yogurt and the next day we had it. That is service! We will be back on our next visit!

This budget motel is a solid choice for someone who wants to be on the island. It is located a short walk from the welcoming Redfern shopping center, which has higher end, locally owned shops, and a few restaurant/bars. The motel is well-maintained, but far from perfect. But, for the price, on the island, I couldn't expect more. The bedding was an issue. First of all their was no top sheet above the blanket, so my arms and sometimes face had direct contact with the blanket that isn't washed freshly for each guest. Yuck. Also, the bottom sheets weren't fitted, so the bottom sheet would sometimes come out of its place, and my legs or arm would find themselves on the raw mattress in the middle of the night. Not ideal. Another yuck. I like when the bedding gives me a perfectly clean and comfortable feeling, and I didn't get it. The mattress was between hard and firm, and a mattress pad would have helped it out a lot. I felt like I was sleeping on plastic- a bit- as I could feel the plastic mattress cover through the thin sheets. As I write this I feel bad, as I enjoyed my stay. My complaints were there, but they didn't effect my overall time. The staff was great. The breakfast was fine. The pool and hot tub were appreciated. The pool towels were better than the thin room towels, but, again, what do you expect when you are looking for the best deal on the island. My point is, don't expect much, and you will be satisfied. Nice hotel, walls are paper thin as I could hear my neighbors having conversations. And the AC didnt work that great at all. The room stayed comfortable but not cool. Overall great price for location

Location to numerous activities was nice...especially eating and shopping. A bit of a drive to the ocean, though. Rooms were nice, but a little cramped...would like an offer of more of a seating area.

I really liked the room and the King size bed was good and comfy. The pillows were a little worn in. The guests in the next room over were very noisy but that isn't the hotels fault. I would stay there again given the option.

rooms are beautiful, very comfortable bed. perfect place for a great price.

Shopping and restaurants within walking distance. perfect location, friendly staff, good Breakfast bar.

Room location was poor even though 95% of the rooms were empty. The carpet was very dirty looked like it had not been clened in a very long time.

Hotel is one of the nicest that I have stayed in that accept pets. The property is well maintained (was a Ramada at somepoint) and the staff is very friendly. Nice breakfast bar. The "strip center" next door is much better than imagined. It is more of a specialty shopping center with some great restaurants and coffee shop (Wake Up Coffee, no Starbucks […] needed). Hotel was nice...good stay. Location although by a small strip plaza is good. Central location for everything and not far from the ocean. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good..coffee too. Will stay again and would recommend to others.

The hotel stay was excellent. The room was very clean. The distance from the beach and park was not bad. I would stay again in the future.

The staff were excellent. The rooms are dated and it was rather warm. The air condition froze up but the maintenance were there in less than 5 minutes which was great. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The room was very nice and clean, the king-bed was nice, but they needed new pillows. Ours were very flat. The bath area was very nice, two sinks, marble tops and glass shower doors. We enjoyed the large flat screen TV. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was a big hit with the kids. The carrot muffins served at breakfast were delicious.

There is nothing special about this place really except the customer service at the front desk. We checked in with ease and were made to feel very welcome. Housekeeping/engineering brought up a rollaway bed right away and with the utmost in courtesy. They even took care of extra towels for us with a mere request. The toilet was quite small - about the […] size you would expect in a daycare for little kids. The only reason I could come up for this was to allow the bathroom door to fully swing open. I cannot ever remember a worse value in my years of traveling. The pics and even the lobby are quite attractive, but thats where it stops. The room was decorated like a dorm room with worn carpet and junk furniture. I would have preferred the floor over the mattress except for the aforementioned carpet. The woman at the front desk was a sweetheart. We were able to check in early and took a nap. When we woke up and turned on the tv, we realized the cable wasn't working! Called front desk and she sent a guy up who was unable to fix it right there, so they put us in another room with working cable. And we left our car door open and a young man who worked […] there knocked on our door to bring it to our attention.. Whew thank you! That could've been bad.
