Super 8 Barstow - Barstow

Our non-smoking room had a very strong coverup scent; had to air out the room for several hours. Small candy wrapper in middle of floor - should not have been missed by housekeeping if the room was vacuumed. Too many electronic devices have glowing lights at night. Bed comfort was average. The guy who cheked us inn was just like a machine. Not friendly at all. The next morning for breakfast they had butter and jam but no bread, just a few danish. I asked if they had some bread, but no. I asked the guy why they had butter and jam and no bread. He was bad and said they used the butter for the danish?....?? A girl come and said that they […] had a group that ate so much food so they did'nt had more.... I said the stores are open!!! After a while she came with muffins she just found in the freezer. The room was clean, spacious,. and the hotel was far enough away that is was quiet. My only issues was that the wi-fi wasn't that strong for my e-reader and the shower was too open that the floor was wet. I left too early for the continental breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The room was in great shape and completely clean.

We found our room with 2 queen beds in Barstow, CA to be very good quality with no complaints.

For a budget hotel, it was very good! The room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. All in all, it was a good stopping place on a long drive!

The staff help was friendly and accomodating. This appears to be an older unit in average condition. The pool was closed for what looked to be major repairs. The continental breakfast was limited to a few packaged pastries, instant oatmeal, and 2 dry cold cereals.
