Hilltop Inn - มอนต์เพเลียร์

Staying near Montpelier can be much cheaper than Burlington and works well if you are just going for an overnight visit to UVM. This place was clean which was all we cared about.

clean rooms, friendly service, nice simple diner/restaurant attached. A bit outdated design, and the wallpaper needed attention in a couple places in the corridors, but overall a nice enough place. Reserved 4 rooms online. The rooms were already together didnt have to ask. Limed having fridge and microwave in rooms. The only thing that could have been better was we missed breakfast. Restaurant on site didnt open early enough for my needs.staff was friendly. Facility was clean it is just an old building.

Low budget operation. I would not recommend any family stay there.

For the price is perfect !

Truly disappointed especially for the price per night. Comfort and cleanliness should be revisited as a whole, especially when it comes to the bathroom.

The Hotel is out dated and definitely needs an renovation. I had breakfast in their restaurant, Suzanne's, which was nice & my server was friendly.

Do not stay here if you don't have to.

It was a last minute trip for us so we took any hotel we could get. The heated pool was very cold. Hotel had no extra towels.We had to use the room towels for the pool. There where kids running all over the hotel all night and no one seemed to care. Bed spread on our bed was dirty. No coffee in the lobby.

Our first impression of this hotel was not good. The walls had holes in them with wires hanging out. It had a sleazy feel to it, as though some rooms were rented by the hour, if you know what I mean. We got to the room and the curtains/carpet was a nasty greenish/brownish color. The bedspread was very old-looking. I was able to get past the furnishings by the time I woke up and I thought that this wasn't such a bad place after all. There was a nice view of the mountains from the window. The only thing that was bad was the shower. The water pressure was so low that I couldn't wash my hair. It wouldn't be the worst place to stay if I had to stay again. Ok for a quick stay. For the price, it is fine, but no Ritz Carlton.The pool was disappointing, clean but very cold, Breakfast was adequate.

I was in town for a job interview & had a very comfortable stay

My wife and I have stayed in a lot of dives over the years, but this one topped them all. Holes in the walls, dirty, no sense of decoration other than vintage gloom. This place seriously needs to be closed down.

I stayed on a Sunday night, and judging by the number of cars in the parking lot, there couldn't have been more than, say, 8 guests there. The toilet in my room was full and clogged (isn't this the one thing you think a housekeeper would check/clean when they are cleaning a room? Seriously). They quickly sent someone to plunge it, but still... Also, […] they failed to inform me that the restaurant isn't open for breakfast on Monday morning. The upside is that there's a heated pool and the bed was reasonably comfortable. It looked like they were doing a fair amount of renovation and moving stuff around in the halls in the morning as I was heading out, so maybe it'll be better when they get that done. The hotel was very well worn but not super dirty. It seemed to be in a safe and convenient location. The hopsital was right next door. I would stay again for a one or two night stay.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. It was dirty, very, very old beds, and furniture. We just felt uneasy and went out in the evening just to come back for bed and decided to leave really early just to get out of there. Other hotels were booked or we would have left. computer was also not working.

towels were not cleaned well. bed sheet was ripped.

We requested an extra blanket as the window was broken in an open position. The front desk could not supply one. The pool itself was nice but it was in a detatched building. Easy to get to.....they had saved us a smoking room when it was supposed to be non-smoking so they gave us one with one double bed and the bathroom was in need of some minor repairs. I think it was an "extra" room.

From an aesthetics and comfort standpoint, this hotel has relatively little to recommend it - it's shopworn, outdated and downright unattractive. But if what you need is a convenient location, clean bed, a hot shower and passable coffee the next morning, you could do much worse than Hilltop. (I know -- what an endorsement, right?) The hotel was very clean and quiet. The only thing was their wi fi didn't work and they do have a computer for you to use in the front lobby but it was terribly slow. Mainly went to sleep Hotel room and washroom in our room was very clean, a little outdated but again very clean!! Staff were pleasant.

Paper thin walls, noisy people inside and out. Had to use the masterkey because they lost the key from the room. Slow checking in. Very expensive for the quality of the hotel

The hotel is a dive. The bed is comfortable but the sheets appeared to be dirty and worn (out). The front desk people were short and not welcoming. there was supposed to be continental breakfast---there wasn't. The hotel appeared dirty and smelled. Don't stay here!

I would have rated this hotel a bit higher except that one day they neglected to clean the room and when returned late that day they didn't seem very helpful and it took quite awhile to even get a fresh set of towels.

Good place to just sleep and do the 3 S's...otherwise, it's an outdated motel with sub-par furnishings, etc. It wasn't filthy, but there was obviously no pride in the upkeep of this property. Only stay here if you get a low rate.

Although the hotel is in need of some up-dating, the rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable and the staff is friendly. The walls of the hall are decorated with antiques which provided entertainemnt to our kids. The bathrooms have some extra supplies (toothpaste, make-up removal napkins) which are not always available in other hotels.

Friendly staff but the hotel needed a remodel or to be shut down. Old place and honestly a little scary.

I chose this hotel because it was a great deal. My first impression of the lobby was that it was slightly run down. Our room was in the back of the building, and when we pulled up there were men grilling near the entrance staring us down as we unpacked the car. The room was fairly clean. There are no-smoking signs everywhere but the hallways reek of […] smoke. It is right off the highway and seemed like there were a lot of construction workers, and truck drivers staying there. Stayed there 5/25 and was very happy with room, therefore made reservation for 6/11 and not at all pleased with room. It was second floor, not very clean and for the same price my sister and Mom were on 1st floor with big TV and much nicer. How can you charge the same when the rooms are clearly not? Don't know if I will stay there again.

It was as expected, as a two star hotel. except that there is no lounge, as advertised. And the restaurant wasn't open when it was supposed to be. The room was comfortable though.

Wires were hanging out of the walls and ceilings. Bedspread was floral orange but drapes were green with a more modern print. Carpet was dirty and the phone did not work. Called the office 3x. Someone picked up but they could not hear me. Maybe they should have sent someone to the room to see what the problem was or maybe an EMERCENCY. Staff was discourteous, coffee was cold, OJ was water.

We were just passing through, but it would be nice another time to get to stay longer, the staff was very friendly, very accommodating. Everything was lovely.
