This is not a particularly fancy hotel. There are limited amenities. The best thing about it is the staff. They are just super nice and helpful about everything especially making dinner reservations and giving directions and suggestions about what to do in the area. We enjoyed our weekend in Quebec - perfect weather, great hotel, delicious breakfasts, convenient location. Lots of photos and wonderful memories. I miss the monsieur in the dining room refilling my coffee cup and singing "La vie en rose."

We booked a suite and were quite disappointed to find that the room itself looked nothing like the images shown on the hotel's website. The room was reasonably large (though not overly, considering it was a suite), but the furniture was quite old and the carpets were dirty. This was a good location in the old city of Quebec. The room was large with a free upgrade, but it was a bare bones hotel. The carpet in the halls needed to be replaced and the lighting was dark. A nice small hotel on a quite street in the lower Old Town and near the port, but next to bustling streets with music, shops and great dining. Hotel bedroom and bed was comfortable and quiet. Only complaint are the dim lights in the bedroom and bathroom makes reading and shaving a challenge. Recently stayed at this hotel. Old Quebec City was beautiful. Location was excellent, in walking distance to what we wanted to see and do. The whole city was very clean. Restaurant were excellent. The hotel has a great location in lower town, close to shops, restaurants and the water. The hotel is very nice, staff are very attentive and helpful, breakfast is very good, cooked to order. Also the hotel has a computer to use to check email if you don't bring your lap top. Apparently the hotel, and Hotel 71, next door, are co-owned so the Saint Pierre […] no longer has a Bistro Bar as well as their own doorman and concierge. My wife and I stayed at the Auberge Saint Pierre about four weeks ago. It's a lovely hotel with an option of more contemporary or more traditional, classic rooms. The staff was very courteous and helpful, going so far as to let us back into our room hours after check-out so we could warm ourselves from the chilly November rain storm we were trapped […] in that day. We stayed here for two night and it was nothing but charming. This is exactly the kind of place one would expect to find in a beautiful quant city like Quebec, it went so well with the Quebec's atmosphere of old world charm. Our room on the top, 4th floor was beautifully decorated and very clean, even if on the small side. The bathroom is great: small, […] cramped hotel bathrooms with no space to place my toiletries is one of my biggest pet-peeves. Here it was spacious, with ample shelves for all my beauty products, and some room left over for my husband's shaving cream and toothbrush :). The bed was very comfortable: not too soft, not too hard. We did have a small problem with our radiator which are manually operated. Upon informing the front desk we went for a walk around town and when we came back everything was fixed. So, definitely high score for maintenance. Breakfast was served in a lovely room on the ground floor and is cooked to order, with a waitress who takes your order and brings the food to your table, rather than buffet style as we thought it would be, and as it is customary in American hotels during breakfast. I had crepes and they were great. My husband had Eggs Benedict and said that it was just OK the first morning (might be because we showed up 10 minutes before the end of service) and good the second morning. The location of the place is ideal: on a quite street, less than 10 minutes walk from the Funicular, about a 7 minute taxi ride from the VIA Rail station and across the street from Museum of Civilization. My husband and I stayed at the St. Pierre for 2 nights and it was all we were expecting and more. The front desk staff was great (thank you Emma!). We stay the night before boarding the New England cruise. The hotel is a stone's throw away from the terminal, saving a cab ride. We manage to tour the entire Lower City before boarding. Check in was more friendly than expected, and since it was my 1st time in Quebec the Concierge explained to me places to eat and see. It was wonderful. Breakfast was inc. and the waiters were very friendly. Maintenance was a little lacking. The basin spout was loose and the toilet dripped all night. I don't think the beds were changed, but we only change our beds once a week at home. I did expect more in a hotel. If you are not a walker use a hotel on the hill. The designer who has done it should have had more knowledge of hotel comfort or at least stayed in hotels previously... I have never seen an ironing board in full view, no space for toiletry kit other than on toilet tank, awkward disposition of shower head. Bad arrangement of furniture which impede on circulation. The loft room had plenty of space with a queen bed, a sofa bed in the sitting area, and dinner table that fit four. My whole family liked the cheery cottage decorating style used in the room. And the Lower Town locatiion was perfect - the front door was directly across the street from one of the entrances to the Museum of Civilization. Hôtel très bien situé dans le vieux Québec; très tranquille (on n'entend pas les bruits de la rue); style vieillot des boiseries donne un très bel effet; café à la salle du petit déjeuner ne goutte rien, mais heureusement, les machines à café modernes dans les chambres donnent un excellent café.

il y avait un bris dans notre chambre alors nous avons ete relocaliser a lhotel 71! Magnifique lhotel, seul hic le dejeuner ...un peu decu !

Très bel hôtel, personnel très poli et très compétent. Petit déjeûner bien et serveurs très courtois.
