"Very Friendly"
I ordered a room with a King bed only and this was an extremely busy weekend and wanted to switch to a Queen. They were very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at the Renaissance. In fact, I felt like it was too good of a place for me to stay. Across the street from the convention center, it's only about a 10 minute walk to the City Garden and 10 more minutes to the arch. One of the few hotels you can find downtown with an indoor pool also.

The hotel was beautifully furnished and maintained, and the service was great. The pool is really more of a lap pool, and it was very cold, which made it not-well-suited to family swimming. I wish there were more dining and shopping options in the neighborhood of the hotel.
"Very enjoyable and great location"
Was there for a sporting event in the Edward Jones Dome, so the convenience, for starters, was fantastic. The hotel itself has an old-time feel with modern conveniences. And Washington St. right out the door is bustling in the evening with great restaurants and live music.

"Wasn't there long but was very happy!!"
We came to town for the Supercross and wasn't in the hotel long but the stay was nice, the room was nice, sleep was nice. Definitely in the plans for next year!
We were not aware of the Mardi Gras activities, but the hotel staff was very good at allowing the party guests to have a good time without interfering with the other guests. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our stay was terrible! We were asked to move and thought that would be OK to help them out. We were told there was going to be a king size bed and a pull out sofa. There was no bed in the room they sent us to. After about a half hour they said they could move us to a room with a king size bed and a pull out couch . . . the room they sent us to was a […] handicapped room with 1 uncomfortable pull down bed and a pull out couch both with no sheets or blankets on them We called for housekeeping and no one ever came so my husbans went down to get them himself. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night . . . it was awful! My husband told them we were not satisfied and they said there was nothing they could do because we got our hotel on line from you. Then the girl said, " I guess we could give you 4 meals from the bar, not the resturant and 4 fountain drinks." No, we were not satisfied at all and very disappointed because we wanted a really nice hotel and not a cheap one! "It is a must to make reservations thru Hotel.com"
One negative experience caused me to rate satisfaction of service with a low 2. I called the hotel directly to reserve a room with 2 double beds for 4 adults. They said yes to my reservation. Then later I checked my email and my confirmation of the reservation said that a king bed or 2 double beds in one room would be reserved. No guarantee of 2 double […] beds. I called and the lady I spoke with at the hotel was LESS THAN GRACIOUS. She said they could do nothing for me. No guarantee of the 2 double beds could be made. I called Hotel.com and immediate got confirmation for a room with 2 double beds was available. Hotel.com could guarantee me the room with the 2 beds. HOORAY for Hotel.com. "No complaints"
Great location; very fast check-in despite it being Mardi Gras weekend. We didn't really use the facilities at the hotel, but very satisfied with the stay overall.

"Great downtown location!"
Close to everything 6 bucks gets to to the arch in a cab. Walking distance to carriage rides and parks and places to eat. The room we stayed in we really liked. The bathroom was massive! shower/tub combo normal sized. one sink, so just a bunch of useless space but kinda fun and useful for extra luggage if you have any. T.V. This is the first hotel in all the times I've traveled around the U.S. where I've had to pay for parking while staying at the hotel. For one night I had to pay $14.00 to park which I can get over but the irritating part is that they just charged the $14.00 to my card without even notifying me about it. "The Renaissance Hotel in St. Louis"
needs to upgrade it's TV's....We were there for a math conference where we stayed at the Westin and then stayed for Game 7 of the World Series. Thought I'd stepped back in time...don't all upscale hotels have flat screen HD TV's? Room a bit tight, also, especially for 4 people.

"Renaissance has great service"
Renaissance is close to everything in downtown St. Louis and offers exceptional service. Only set back is that the rooms are too small for more than two adults.
"Unexpected stay next to main hotel"
Once we had checked in, we were informed that we would be staying across the street. They are all suites but not convenient. I was asked twice by a panhandler for money while going from the main hotel to the suite location. It was not horrible but I'd ask to stay in the maine building next time, as we had to go there for coffee, bar, etc.
Fantastic, nice, a must stay!!!!! Customer service such as Delores, she was great!!

"Renaissance Grand Hotel"
The hotel was very convenient for our stay, but thought the room did not reflect the amount I paid for it. Not too much "grand' about it. Overpriced. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I had a great experience at this hotel. It is a WONDERFUL location- great part of town and near to the stadium and the baseball park and near many great restaurants and bars! In town for Cardinals game, and visiting friends, and was the perfect location. Good shuttle service from casino, short cab rid, or even within walking distance to everywhere. AC works absolutely well, with very very hot water.

A nicely appointed hotel, but the level of customer service leaves much to be desired. To begin with, getting into our rooms was a debacle. Much like other reviewers, I found this hotel to be adequate. Not having WIFI in the bedrooms was a pain, and the service in the restaurant was a little slow, but neither wrecked my stay. I booked this hotel for my our 2nd anniversary. I booked it as a suite because we wanted the mini bar in our room. When we got there and checked in, we were given a room with a king bed and no suite. We immediately complained and they said that all the suites were already taken. How is that possible when we'd already booked? At least they agreed to […] comp our valet parking (an outrageous $27/night). We made the most of our stay but the hotel is outdated. The towels are awful, the only toiletries provided are shampoo/conditioner/lotion, the view is non-existent, it is way over-priced, the hotel bar doesn't have things that are listed on the menu. Great Hotel, right on Washington Ave. The street is filled with restaurants and bars, along with a up scale bowling alley.. The hotel staff were awesome and the hotel is very nice..
