Recently spent the weekend in Ketchikan and booked the Cape Fox Lodge for our accomodations online. Was great to have it lined up and paid for before we even arrived. We found the lodge high in the hills--what a great location! The self-serve tram down to Creek Street was a lot of fun and made town accessible. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, […] the staff was friendly and most helpful. We arrived by ferry early and took a chance on early check-in and they found a room ready for us, which was also wonderful! All in all, we had a great time! Cape Fox was homey, quiet and convenient. Beautiful scenery from the hotel also.

wonderful place to stay.

Being from Ketchikan, I have always wanted to go back to visit. Funding was finally available to take a few days off from life and go "home"! Cape Fox Lodge was a wonderful place to stay! Comfortable king size bed, very helpful staff, and magnificent views of town and Deer Mountain! During our trip, Ketchikan had received roughly 9" of snow. Even though […] Cape Fox Lodge is up a hill, we had no issues going to and from or parking over night. Although the tram was out of service while we were there, the walk into town to have dinner wasn't bad at all. I'm a long time customer of Cape Fox Lodge, and am generally happy with it. The view is fabulous. This stay in late December of 2011, they had such a good price, I decided to spent some vacation time there. However, the wireless internet system in the hotel was not working. and I'm hoping they get it resolved soon. There is an internet kiosk in the […] lobby, but the free minutes they give me were in very short supply, and the computer was not top notch. There is no proper business center, and the kiosk was too tiny for me, and not private. The beds need to be softer for us with tender backs. The Cape Fox offers holiday buffets that are very nice, and the hotel restaurant is very good, with a wonderful view of the Tongass Narrows and is at tree hight. It was a little off the beaten path but has a nice little tramway to get you closer to town. It would of been nice to be told that or have it featured as I saw it by chance.Very good restaurant on the premises. Very comfortable and clean. I would recommend it.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Spring for the ocean/bay view...it is well worth the extra price!
