Room was tiny! Looks so much more spacious in the pictures. The shower was so small and the water would go from luke warm to freezing cold during a shower if you could get it to warm up at all. It was very disappointing to end our honeymoon at this hotel

This hotel has free parking which can save around $30 a day. The room was clean but slightly claustrophobic. Beds were good and shower was fine. The location is quite nice. We loved our stay there. The view isn't much but who stays in their room in San Fran?? So close to everything you can walk to so much. Service was amazing and security for car was great. We'd definitely stay there again!

Free parking close to public transportation that is easy to figure out. We parked the care and walked short distance to pier 39. Two blocks north Walgreens photo dept buy the 1, 3 or 7 day Muni (public) transportation pass. Cable car is $6 every time you get on so that day pass is a bargain. I have stayed here three times and each time it fits my needs perfectly. It is soooo close to the pier and has on site secure parking. Also the rooms are accessed through a secure elevator. Dont expect luxury, but you can expect clean and close.

I fly to San Francisco several times a year for running events. I have always stayed at the Wharf Inn for their bang for buck value, free parking and especially their location to the start of my races.

The hotel was okay and my room was just fine...but, there was street construction and it was dustier and noisier than normal. Nice, comfortable rooms.

Loved the location, staff were helpful with the best local restaurants to eat and tours(even offering discounts for both). The hotel is older and a bit shabby but clean enough. The noise from people walking in the room above us kept us awake much of the night.

The best thing about this hotel was it's location. Items such as hair dryer, iron and ironing board have to be gotten from the front desk. Water temperature fluctuates.

Nice motel just steps away from Pier 39 and SF wharf area. We picked this property for its proximity to North Beach neighborhood for a comedy show we planned to see, which was a convenient 7 minute walk away. Stayed in a room without a view. Don't pass this up if you are looking for lodging close to the wharf. The staff was very friendly, the room was large and very clean. The only nit was that the room - which looked out on the street, had no sound-proofing. Older hotel but, rooms and exterior halls were clean . Noise from the water pipes (neighbors showering) was a drag. Super location for any Wharf or Pier 39 visit. Staff was very friendly and parking was free.

Fantastic location if you ate looking to stay at fishermans wharf however it's more of a cheap highway motel than a hotel. The walks on each room are paper thin.... We could hear visitors knocking on the door of the room next to us so loudly we thought they were knocking on our door.... This continued until 1.30 am, then at 4.00am that same morning […] we were were woken by the room behind us' wake up call. The hotel also has a carport underneath, which has a locked gate on one street but which is wide open all night on another street, and the neighborhood seems a bit sketchy st night. People congregate in the car park until the early hours of the morning , which also sends a lot of noise into the rooms above. We were on the top floor and still got woken up from this noise all night aswell. The actual rooms themselves are tiny, old and not overly clean, and are stifling hot even when it is cold outside. Service is absolutrly useless. I never felt safe in this hotel and will only return if every other hotel is booked out. I tried to check out early but had prepaid our entire stay so wasn't an option. My stay here was excellent. As soon as I pulled into the parking there was parking, then I walked to the office and the staff already had my parking pass ready and he was very fast with my check in. An older motel and dated, but rooms were renovated and nicely finished. Great location. 24-hr coffee service was a bonus, and free on-site parking made it worth it. I would definitely choose it again.

I had a great stay here. Why would you pay more for a 5-star hotel that will most probably be far from Fisherman's Wharf and all the attractions? The hotel was clean, warm, and the hotel staff was so accommodating. I would definitely come back.

Great Location in the wharf, the room was decent - ok Tv -comfy bed - only shower in bathroom :( but overall it was good for my money and i would defiantly go back to stay especially for the free parking!

I took a solo trip to San Francisco and stayed here for 3 nights. It was the bare essentials but really, what else do you need if you plan on going out every day? I dont want to give the hotel a bad review, because it wasnt bad. There were a couple of issues. They did not have any portable cribs. Our main criteria was a cheap motel with a good location at a good price with parking, We read reviews and the main issue seemed to be the noise but we are used to staying in city centres and decided we'd risk it. The room was comfortable with all the facilities you would need from a budget motel. The staff were friendly & there was always free tea […] / coffee in the office. Parking was ample and free at the time of booking. The location was perfect as it is literally on Fisherman's Wharf and there was a 7/11 over the road. The massive downside is the noise. One wall of the room is a glass window with slats in it which open, as a result you hear everything! Every car that starts, group of party goers in the street and especially all the other guests coming and going, talking, wheeling luggage, walking around upstairs, etc. From our point of view this was significant enough that we wouldn't stay here again. However, if you are the sort of person who could sleep through anything (even in a tent!), you may not find it an issue. It may also be worth mentioning our room was round the back and not directly on the road but all rooms are above the car park. The other issue is that you get a significant number of homeless / drunks in the doorways on the street the motel is on, as well as outside the 7/11. If you're looking for luxuary, look elsewhere. Wharf Inn is an older, more of a motel than hotel, that is less than a block off Fisherman's Wharf, and within 6 blocks of everything Fisherman's Wharf has to offer. The staff was excellent, especially the evening shift. During our Thanksgiving weekend stay, the Inn was full, or near full every day, yet […] our room (#208) was quiet, there were empty slots in the free on site parking most days (a late Friday arrival was a problem), and we had 48 mbps or better wireless Internet access during our 4 day stay. We never used our car as we walked to everything, or use municipal transit. (F line stop is on the corner and 2 cable car stop are 4 blocks or less.) If you have a car, be prepared to spend at least $35 per day for parking! (We picked the Wharf Inn because of the location, and the free parking/Internet.) Our room was comfortable with a comfortable King bed, small closet, the usual TV/dresser, and 2 easy-chairs around a small table. The room was clean, we found no mold, and was cleaned every day with clean fresh towels. Only negatives were no A/C (ceiling fan over the bed), no bath (one person shower only), and toilet too close to wall. We were lucky and had sunny warm low 70s weather during our and the room did get warm and stuffy. It would have been very uncomfortable if it had gotten any warmer. I like this hotel. I have stayed numerous times. It is very close to the wharf and Pier 39. It is an older motel. It isn't fancy, but it is nice.
